Trinidad and Tobago is a twin island country on the continental shelf of South America and it’s English speaking. Also the Malvine islands speak English and are part of South America and in a broader sense the Caribbean departments of San Andrés & Providencia belong to the South American nation of Colombia although they’re geographically closer to Nicaragua. Creole English is spoken there alongside Spanish as the islands were a British crown colony before being formally ceded to Colombia. Bonus: English is also widely spoken and understood as a second language throughout Suriname which borders Guyana although the country’s official language is Dutch.

Nice tour of Guyana. Looking forward for the other areas you would visit and post. I have a morning show on HBTV Channel 9 and I searched for content on Guyana as challenges hinder me from producing such. So as long as you keep yours under 10 minutes I would show from time to time. In that way you are able to inform a wider viewership, especially the older population that are faithful to HBTV and may not be too internet savvy. So thanks and keep posting. Good job

Great video, how did the find the lack of things to do there?. Is not the most exciting of destinations, you know you are in trouble when you arrive as a tourist and locals refer to "sea wall" as an attraction to visit. 😢

Guyana has interesting places to visit, such as: Port Kaituma, (Jonestown, where the largest suicide occurred in 1978), the border town of Baramita and the shores of Shell Beach. And to the southwest in Region 7: Paruima village (where there are impressive waterfalls such as: Uchii Falls, Panacima Falls and Attabrau Falls), as well as the Amerindian villages of Phillipai and Opadai (in the vicinity of Mount Roraima) 😉
Even though I lived, born and being raised here in Guyana I have never been in that church ⛪ I live in another town but the schools of Guyana take the kids by permission of their parents on tour so they can visit Georgetown but I have only been to one, that time when I sent we didn't visit the church maybe some day
