Thank you for the encouragement and role-modeling Cassie! I’m more of a mender than a maker right now and want to Frankenstein my way towards making more of what I wear. Sending love from Alaska!
Really looking forward seeing the videos for all these makes ! Totally understand what you said about the coat, about taking things slow and taking the time to source the right materials and think about the project and what you want out of it. It's easy to get very excited and go fast and do a garment that in the end won't be the right one for your needs or won't fit in your wardrobe.
I popped on to say the same thing 😊 Cassie, since your whole wardrobe is neutrals or muted tones that read as neutrals (olive, aubergine), any pop of color you add will match virtually everything. I find that to be the most fun way to wear color: a few statement pieces that are grounded by the neutrals. I hope you have/had fun picking the color 😊
Lots of really nice ideas. Do you know how to make bound button holes? I think they would be great with the linen suit jacket and maybe even the coat. I haven't made them that often but I always have made a practice one (or two) with scraps of the garment fabric in order to avoid unhappy surprises. It's worth the extra tme.
Hi Cassie, just found your channel (& subscribed). I enjoyed this video, was fun to see your plans for the year. You've inspired me to stretch my sewing wings a bit and maybe try making a suit. Looking forward to seeing how your sewing year goes. Cheers! ~Angela
Wait I have that exact flight suit pattern in my Etsy cart and I was also planning to make it in a linen fabric so that it is easy to layer in the winter but I can also wear it in the summer. That’s awesome, can’t wait to see it:)
Looking forward to these videos. Looking to make a light weight boilersuit myself too! Been looking in charity shops to see if I could thrift one, but have not found one :(

That's exactly it! Thanks for your comment!
Fantastic and just my styles. Thank you Cassie.
I would knit your sweater in pink. The pink could go with your suit pieces no matter which color you choose for it!
I agree with you! I'm definitely leaning towards pink!

love the idea of a cream or off white linen vest with trousers!! Maybe on my make list this year... seeing lots online!
Yes! Suiting is so fun and I love how you can mix and match within your wardrobe or wear all together!
So excited to see how your projects will turn out! I just came up with my make nine yesterday and also made a colour palette in canva 💫
I love that!

I haven’t but I will have to try it! That’s such a fun idea!

Thank you so much for subscribing! Good luck on the suit!
The Harlene Overalls are on my make list this year too! I got a needle sharp box with all the suppliers during Black Friday.
Happy New Year!
ohh I am so excited to see your finished garments! Loving your channel btw Cassie🧚🏼
Thank you!!

I’ve found a couple second hand boiler suits but the fit isn’t quite there, so I figured I might as well try making one!
Nice selection of garments… and what a guest appearance from the cat….. !
She was determined to spend the WHOLE video cleaning herself and I didn't realize she was there until I went to go edit!
