It's so funny to hear young kids identify themselves by names that today we often associate with senior citizens: Bob, Bill, Tom, Jim, Joe, John, Pat, Jerry, Mike. No Dylans, Jaydens, Logans, and Hunters? Lol
@@denisenilsson1366 It was, and they'd had a long day of waiting, rehearsing, etc. It was way past 2-year-old Uncle Mike's bedtime. He detested this memory actually, because of the host picking on him when he was a tired baby.
My grandfather, these boys' father, knew they were part of the prize so in case they won he switched from his lifelong... Chesterfields, maybe? to Winstons a week before the show to get used to them. Stuck to them from then on
@Tom Collins The family may be Catholic, but maybe not. Those are just good ol' American names of the time. There were plenty of black Baptist Johns, Mikes, Pats, too, for example.
I also attended a Catholic grade school. One boy in my class had 8 siblings. One girl in my class had 7 siblings. I have 5 siblings. About 2/3 of the class just had 1 or 2 siblings. I was aware of the money problems of the students with the most siblings. I attended a public high school with a boy who had 7 siblings. He said that when people found out about how many siblings he had. they asked him if he was Catholic: he wasn’t.
Hey y'all, I'm the eldest daughter of the oldest son you see here (Jim). They were indeed raised very Catholic. All except Rose did their time as altar boys. Some stayed with it in adulthood, some not.
how fun this is to get to show your grandchildren
Grandchildren?
Nice to see. Thank you for sharing. Just discovered "I've got a secret," a wonderful series.
4:42 don't you love how the little brother at the other end laughs at the audience laughing at Michael !
Prime embarrassment material for little Michael, though. lol
Poor Michael.. LOL. He was not having it. Super cute.

And no weird spellings!
logan and dylan are old names there irish...just because they became poplur in the usa through pop culture doesn't mean they are new
The same thing will happen to all of the little Dylans, Logans, Jaydens and Hunters of today in about sixty or seventy years.
The good old days when parents gave their children decent and normal first names!
@@zdelany6963 I thought Dylan was welsh. The writer Dylan Thomas, of Under Milkwood for example.
I knew a family in Vermont who had 13 children I visited them 5 times 9 were living at home when I went to visit them
Wow that's amazing 2 yrs of clothing
Their prizes were unusually good and helpful.
They were a tremendous help to my grandmother & co. The family was far from wealthy.
My brothers in laws had 8 grandchildren 7 are boys the 1 girl is my niece and 1 of the boys is my nephew
Aww poor little Michael getting teased then falling.
Mike wasn't having it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 NAH!
I think it was past Mike's bedtime.

Oh poor little Michael 😆
So cute! LOL on prizes - diapers, dresses and a couple of packs of Winstons.
Garry said that they got diapers from a diaper service. Garry should have said they got diaper service. They got cartons, not packs, of cigarettes.

She gets a lots of exercise running after all those boys☺️
@@RookinherRookery
So that would mean one of these boys is either your dad or all these kids are your uncles and aunt.
Uh-huh. Jim, the eldest, is my dad.
Is he saying chair? Whatever it is, Gary Moore played it very well, very funny.
Bob McNamara have a music single in 1970
Definitely not our Bob though 🤣
"NAH!"
Baby Mike is scared…
That woman had a waist already!! After giving birth a week prior to the show!
She had a good girdle
She was probably very slim on her wedding day. 💖
Thank you for your awesome video. I'm wondering where's everyone now a day? And how's precious Michael doing? Thank you
I'm sad to say Uncle Mike died a few years ago. He was fantastic.
@@RookinherRookery
How do you know? And if you know, why not share that information? We'd all like to how how they all are.
@@lisahinton9682 what do you mean how do they know? Look at their last name you twat. Jesus Christ. Smh
@@RookinherRookery sorry to hear but if he was only 2 in 1959 and died a few years ago? he was still relatively young?
@@cameramanceltic4915 I do not find personal questions about the death of my loved one appropriate
Prize money and a couple of cartons of Winstons. Haaaa. Boy have times changed!
Thankfully🎈☺️☺️
The baby clothes and diaper service is great though💖
was this the same Michael who was on the show a few years later performing a feat?
No that was a different boy
I wish they would have said their ages too!
Dad was 14, the eldest. Uncle Mike was 2. They were a classic bunch of "Irish twins"
Are you one of these kids John
He's the second youngest. (And my uncle)
Are any of the kids related to Jake McNamara from John Mulaney?
Heh. No relation.
Are *any* of them?! Do you think some could be but not the rest?
But when do I finally get to see that award-winning war film in PATAVISION?
Are you a relative?
Sure am. The oldest one's daughter!
Did you know about the appearance?
Oh yeah, we were raised on the story and my Uncle John transferred the footage to a format we could watch.
@@RookinherRookery Did your Uncle Michael gets teased about his attitude on the show? How is that family doing nowadays? I hope all are doing well.
O my god, he dropped his cigarette butt and ground it in the floor… what next?
Me thinks the lads are going to walk around with traditional Irish names.
Some are named after patron saints!!.
They appear to be a traditional Irish Catholic family. I attended parochial school with many families of ten or more way back in the day.😇
