As far as I know, this is the only time the Syndicated IGaS duplicated a stunt secret from the original show. In this, the original Live version, Don McNeil is the egg dropper. Also included -- Garry's explaination from the next show on why he's not wearing any pants...

My father worked in the Ensolite division of U. S. Rubber (later renamed Uniroyal) for many years. He told me about the egg bouncing stunt, but I was not aware that it had been demonstrated on national TV! Thanks for posting this.
