Wholeheartedly agree with you that Band-Maid is fearless. They are not afraid to accept challenges that push themselves musically to incorporate many different genres to produce a coherent whole in the form of consistently great songs. They are truly amazing in what they are able to do to produce their own unique sound.

The best way I can describe Band-Maid is that they are every band, group, or song I’ve ever loved in all my 58 years on earth all rolled into one “Supergroup” of 5 individually talented tiny Japanese women!. Thank you Miku Kobato for following your dream of creating Band-Maid!

It's almost refreshing to hear a reactor who's seen/ heard the song before, because they're gonna notice different things aside from the beat and general vocal melody.
Good point. It's amazing what we hear sometimes that's new in a song we've been listening to for years. It's part of why I decided when I started this channel that I would "react" to songs I'd already heard if they were requested. I still love to bang my head to "War Pigs" and that's 50 years old! lol
Or what? Hard rock goddesses! Kanami overcame her fear of heights to do the scene of her on top of the car, fearless for sure!
I've never heard where Miku was during this, but she is not seen in the car sequences. Would be interesting to me where Miku was, as we all know she is fearless, if a little accident prone, lol!

Became my favorite BAND-MAID song upon release. "Perfection. No one get's there" - I beg to differ. BAND-MAID is perfection for me. Kanami is non-pareil. Then came FROM NOW ON and supplanted WARNING as my favorite song. Hope the new album will have a gem to supplant FROM NOW ON. Peace. 1.34
When I look up the word perfection in my dictionary there's a photo of B-M, okay I may have put it there, but it still counts 😄 Here's to an epic 2024 for our Maids and to yourself JK 👍🍻🍻

I will let others put them on a pedestal. I just know they have done more songs that I can listen to over and over, then anyone else that comes to mind. Most artist have less than 10 such songs. Very few have more than 20. I can't even count how many Band Maid songs fall into that group for me. 40, 50? Can't say they are the greatest. Can say they are my favorite.

Best band live I have ever seen, or heard, but certainly the only band in my life I have ever loved, truly loved. I don't know if it's the fact I had basically given up concerts, new music, etc. When rock kind of died ( not totally but de-emphasized ) when rap and hip-cop and of course shite-rotten C&W and that horrible factory produced crap they now call music...well, I kind of just play my old CD's on occasion but as BB said the thrill was gone.
Enter Band Maid. I don't recall how I tripped on them, probably Daydreaming, and long story well long still, I'll end here by saying this rabbit hole has helped me personally so much in these troubled times I really do love these ladies, except for one nagging problem. I continue to listen to many reactors of JRock listening to LB, Nemo, G Spin etc but for me, this is just me, I recognize the talent but their compositions and musical diversity pale in comparison so I really am just a Band Maid fan SO FAR. I will always give a listen so ...carry on mate.

IMO, a band is all about, first and foremost, the writing and composition -- the songs! Then execution (playing ability), performance, individual charisma / band synergy, and member personality. With that said, imo: the best prog hard rock band is Band-Maid; the best original rock trio going is The Warning; the best power metal band is Lovebites; the best metal vocalist is Tatiana Smailyuk (Jinjer); the best concert pianist is Yuja Wang; the best jazz fusion composer / pianist is Hiromi Uehara; the best overall drummer is Senri Kawaguchi. Amazingly, all of these musicians are Women!! Maybe not so amazingly, huh. Thx, RC!
