It was Grosso himself who wanted these parts to be cut out of the interview. Grosso sucks right 😄. In that interview I watched where he said about the 9club thing being 6 hours he also said how happy he was when he got on AntiHero and all of that, so I think even if he can't lose his sponsors now he still wouldn't want them to release the whole thing. I think he never really cared about loosing them in the first place. Grosso Forever

Getting sober is one of the hardest thing I've ever done. I was on a similar path as Jeff and I am very proud of the fact that I kicked a 20+ year heroin and booze addiction!
Thanks man! I know I'm lucky for sure! I've been to way too many funerals because of that shit too! in 7 days I hit my 2 year clean mark and it feels amazing!
Jason Peeps it is one of the hardest things I ever did! It took me many relapsed to eventually get it. The only way I was able to stop was to forgive all the people I blamed for keeping in my addiction. Those people still controlled me and in till I looked at it that way I couldn’t see the answer for me. So I forgave all the people that hurt me along the way through my childhood. By doing that I regained control of my life surely but slowly. I’m so happy I was able to get to that conclusion bc it saved my life and hopefully stop that way of life from passing to my kids. It’s all knew when I grew up but it will not be all my kids know when they grow up. That cycle is a very very tough thing to break. Thanks for sharing your story bc it made me able to share mine.

RIP GROSSO! This is one of the few episodes that I've played twice.... Had a long road trip from Toronto to Chicago and played a few of my favourite episodes back. I love the passion he had for skateboarding
I was always the kid at the park that went three days a week and somehow just couldn’t figure shit out. They had a really low rail, maybe 6” off ground. I tried for months to pop my tail, shifty left, and try to land board. Broke my fucking arm practicing how to not do it right lol. Quit skating after that. Got back into skating because of the letters back in 2012. I still suck huge ass, but grosso is one of my heroes. He will be sorely missed.
This was kinda inspiring... gotta love his honesty. Although I'm 23, I'm so scared of the day I can't skate too. When he was talking about it, it gave me chills. This dude must get a lot of hate, but he's one of the most realist dudes ever. Love you Grosso
Giving him a chance to tell his story? Are you joking? This interview is 6 hours long! He gave them a chance to have him there and tell his story to them, he did it and they didn't even realise the full interview.
Ok, let’s put this to bed finally. We did cut out only a few things from the episode at Jeff’s request. The episode was pretty much aired as it was shot, minus those parts. It definitely was not 6 hours long. So just because Jeff is no longer with us does not mean we will put out the parts he wanted taken out!! Rest In Peace to the Legend Grosso!❤️🌹 -Crob
Powerful stuff. Kudos to this guest/man for his wiilingness to share his stories, insecurities, and triumphs whilst being appreciative, humble, and inspirational. Qualities we should all aspire to obtain. Thanks Nine Club for another awesome episode!
I was never great at skating but I definitely got caught up in drugs and did some things I don't even tell people about and skating has brought me back from the edge. I realized I was happiest when all I cared about was being on a board when I wasn't at my job. Thanks for the show and giving Jeff so much time to talk.
When I heard the news he passed I grabbed my board and had one of the beat solo sessions in a while when I got home it finally hit me and I cried a little bit tbh I grew up on love letters. Best history teacher ever a great skater and good human being who passed too soon 51 isn’t supposed to be the end ❤️

I f-ing love that dude! I learned kickflips on a SC Grosso toybox in 88-89 and I was 13-14. I had them on lock with that 10” wide thing. Not anymore though and that’s a pain I live with. Not that anyone cares but maybe some other 80’s skaters can relate.
You guys are killing it, Grosso rules! Some names for the list of people that need to be on the Nine Club: Guy Mariano, James Kelch, Todd Congelliere, Matt Hensley, the other Steve Olson, Tom Penny, Henry Sanchez, Steve Rocco, Jason Lee, Sean Cliver. 👍

Legend. So stoked he's still rolling and hope he's able to for another 30+ years. Thanks to The Nine Club for doing this show, and Thanks to Jeff Grosso for never sugar coating his experience and perspective. Seriously inspiring.
I just watched this again and am 100% convinced this is your best interview ever. Grosso was the best. As someone who started skating in the late 80's and was in high school in the early 90's on the east coast, when being a skateboarder was still considered to be literally exactly how it was in Cali during his time, I can fully relate to everything he said and his personality in general. Grosso is my fucking spirit animal. I'll never forget meeting him for the first time on the Indy 30 year tour, when he was just getting back into skating, and how stoked he was that me and my friend remembered him from the 80's. Long before his Letters fame. Rest in Peace, OG. One of the realest to ever do it.
Thank you for such a raw and informative episode. This felt like a testimony and I was holding on to every word. Grosso is an amazing person for sharing such personal stories. The details of the stories are eye-opening, shocking, funny, and sad. This is life. Thank you guys for bringing Grosso on, and thank you Grosso for sharing your life stories.
A true and honest skateboard tale. The show keeps getting better ! The heaviest episode yet. Chris Roberts it got real ! Thank you skateboarding and thank you nine club
Well done Nine Club. Another outstanding episode. Thank you Grosso for being so candid and honest about your life. If Dill made drugs seem cool and alluring, get ready for the real and ugly side of drug abuse. Grosso your the best. Keep ripping!
I'm so glad Jeff got a long episode talking about his journey before he left us. His story is bumpy and brilliant. This man stood up to the industry with two middle fingers up multiple times and we all should show respect and gratitude to what this mad man did for skateboarding. Grosso forever!!!!
The Olympics recently allowed songs with lyrics to be used in figure skating to attract a younger audience. The Olympics has damaged so many cities financially. Glad that Grosso brought that up because I know a lot of young people aren't aware of it.
Spoke to someone recently about skating and the olympics. Well, i can see the downsides clear. I wasn't aware of some upsides. e.g. the fact that it is an official sport now, hence in countries that gave a shit about skaters, where police or security personell had no issues in shooting skaters (Brazil, African countries, Russia, ...) makes skateboarding more secure. Also when looking at commerce, Supreme taking a 500 million dollar investment by a The Carlyle Group isn't exactly core skating. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supreme_(brand)

I tried for months to pop my tail, shifty left, and try to land board. Broke my fucking arm practicing how to not do it right lol. Quit skating after that. Got back into skating because of the letters back in 2012. I still suck huge ass, but grosso is one of my heroes. He will be sorely missed.
Love letters to the nine club
This was kinda inspiring... gotta love his honesty.
Although I'm 23, I'm so scared of the day I can't skate too. When he was talking about it, it gave me chills.
This dude must get a lot of hate, but he's one of the most realist dudes ever. Love you Grosso
Grosso was always punk and never gave a fuck
I love Jeff Grosso. Punk and a sweetheart. Good stuff. Now get his buddy Neil Blender on!
They have a better chance getting Madonna. ..but I'd love a Blender episode.
It was really great of 9 Club to catch an interview with this skate legend, giving him a chance to tell his story. RIP Mr. GROSSO!
I feel ashamed 😔 so it was him who wanted to cut some parts. Sorry about the misunderstanding Thanks for giving us this episode 🙏 ✌️ 🌹 Grosso Forever.
I immediately screamed with joy, when I saw the thumbnail.
Dude Dudeson same
Dude Dudeson bitch ass nigga
Bitch ass nigga
Powerful stuff. Kudos to this guest/man for his wiilingness to share his stories, insecurities, and triumphs whilst being appreciative, humble, and inspirational. Qualities we should all aspire to obtain. Thanks Nine Club for another awesome episode!
Grosso needs a documentary.
He has adressed that in an interview i think and he doesnt want to do one.
I agree with you though. 🤙🏼😊
You could make a documentary off of this interview
@@byahboy129 honestly a good point this with archival footage
@@byahboy129 maybe ill make it
RIP Grosso
I was never great at skating but I definitely got caught up in drugs and did some things I don't even tell people about and skating has brought me back from the edge. I realized I was happiest when all I cared about was being on a board when I wasn't at my job. Thanks for the show and giving Jeff so much time to talk.
Hands down the best episode to date. Thank you Nine Club for delivering the best content week after week.
Grossos perspective is definitely worth a listen. Another stellar episode lads!!
Jacob Cross the f
there are some amazing moments in this video when you can hear the choke and intensity in his voice, truly incredible. kudos to him for being honest and owning his story
it just keeps getting better and better
I re listen to this episode at least twice a month to get me stoked on skating while a slave away at work. Thank yall for giving guys like this a platform to explain “their truth” and stoke the skate world with their passion for this beautiful thing we call Skateboarding. GROSSO FOREVER!!!!
so thankful for this episode. i hope Jeff writes a book. poeple need to hear these stories, even the ones that are hardest to tell. please Jeff write a book!!!! Love you tons and much respect.
I f-ing love that dude! I learned kickflips on a SC Grosso toybox in 88-89 and I was 13-14. I had them on lock with that 10” wide thing. Not anymore though and that’s a pain I live with. Not that anyone cares but maybe some other 80’s skaters can relate.
sadhvacman I can definitely relate! I still
Skate the big 9-10” boards. Still have my Danforth Alva(not skatable anymore though)
I’ve never related to someone as much as grosso that’s why he’s my favorite skater
especially raiding medicine cabinets
Same here since early 80’s as a kid!#Grosso#1Fan@Darius Branham
here to pay tribute. r.i.p Jeff, an inspiration, rip in peace
man his death hits harder after hearing him say "I wasted half my life chasing a synthetic high." I recently got clean after 10 years of being addicted to heroin/fentanyl and I can relate so much. I'm so happy that the world was blessed with grosso, and that we have so much content to watch of him. if there's anyone skaters should look up to, jeff grosso is the ultimate role model. his love for everything is so contagious. rest in peace to a very special person.
He looks younger than Bam
LOL... He has a grey beard!
how did you comment this 3 hours before the video was uploaded
Back to the future
Bam is starting to look like Phils twin
IDiggPattyMayonnaise Phil lost a lot of weight, I thought? Ape is going to outlive her husband and son, I don't know what she's gonna do when they pass.
I've watched this episode many times but I didn't realize until Grosso was gone just how amazing, talented, and bright this dude is. I've got endless respect for this guy
Legend. So stoked he's still rolling and hope he's able to for another 30+ years.
Thanks to The Nine Club for doing this show, and Thanks to Jeff Grosso for never sugar coating his experience and perspective. Seriously inspiring.
😢😢
Rest in peace
Fuck yes dude I have listened to this this year plus
Every loveletter to skateboarding is a piece of history
A true and honest skateboard tale. The show keeps getting better ! The heaviest episode yet. Chris Roberts it got real ! Thank you skateboarding and thank you nine club
This is by far the most honest, open, entertaining, most concequences, story in skateboarding. Thank you Grosso!
Episodes like this one get me choked up a bit. Amazing.
Besides Lizzie and Nora, Jeff helped get Skatebording back into my life. RIP Jeff.
Well done Nine Club. Another outstanding episode. Thank you Grosso for being so candid and honest about your life. If Dill made drugs seem cool and alluring, get ready for the real and ugly side of drug abuse. Grosso your the best. Keep ripping!
Grosso is the best! Rest in peace legend
My Love letter is to Grosso....thank you sir! Been a fan forever and similar struggle of life. Thank you nine club!!!
I would pay for the uncut version of this!
i feel like Kelly will never be the same after some of these stories....
I liked grosso sending shots at sls while kelly politely listened haha
Buddy Hollows 😂😂
Kelly looked straight up horrified at a couple points when Jeff was talking about drugs
Two different types of skating scenes, grosso is way more hardcore
@@jacobinfranca5815 What makes you hardcore?
I'm so glad Jeff got a long episode talking about his journey before he left us. His story is bumpy and brilliant. This man stood up to the industry with two middle fingers up multiple times and we all should show respect and gratitude to what this mad man did for skateboarding. Grosso forever!!!!
Posting this at midnight means I'm gonna sacrifice sleep and possibly be late to work tomorrow morning. So thank you! 😂
Heroes get remembered but legends never die RIP.
It's snowing up here in Portland right now. Grosso rules and I really don't want to stay up all night, but thank you
🙏❤. All my support for his friends and family, legends are forever.
I love how Kelly pushes the button when he laughs 😂😂
The more I watch Grosso, the more I like the dude. Keep pushing bro.

Grosso is amazing, love this guy even more after this!
Burnside shirt and painted nails grosso rocks
What is the meaning behind the painted nails? Genuinely curious and never really understood it
I guess to piss people off mostly. Plus he is og emo skate kid
Brent Henson alot of people painted there nails black for dylan rieder. I know he did after died he posted it on Instagram . dont knownif that's still why theyre black though
a lot of punks do it
I want that Burnside shirt. Where can I get one?
This podcast is legendary..... So nostalgic on the timeline of skating. I could clearly see when I started to skate In his timeline. Unfortunately my life laid out similar to Grassos. God rest his soul. Lost my wife recently😭and she was cut from the same cloth as grasso.....The best, most genuine, kind, souls i know are in recovery from addiction. Great podcast 4 real. Btw... This is the 2nd time ive watched this....Lots of knowledge hidden in those awkward laughter moments.....Thanks 👍
Sorry for your loss
@@Capitan_Chaos ...thanks man.👍
finally getting the dirt on Gator. I knew you'd come through with the goods, Chris
leekthomas737 what happen between gator n Jessica?
Adrian Dominguez, probably some weird dance moves
Adrian Dominguez there's a documentary on UA-cam called 'Stoked the rise and fall of Gator' that tells the whole sick story.
what a fucking raw honest dude. His expression and love for skateboarding is bigger then half the skaters I know. He was a inspiration and all his backlogged story's and clips will continue to inspire and motivate. R.I P Jeff hope you are ripping where ever we go when we pass over
Check out him and Lucero's 3 part Weekend Buzz interview if you haven't already seen it. The dude was definitely passionate, opinionated and hilarious. I feel bad for his little boy.
“There is something so offensive about a drunk naked man”
I can’t watch this without getting teary eyed... RIP GROSSO.
I’m going to have a very difficult time in the next few days, weeks, trying to wrap my head around the very sad sad news I heard today about Jeff. Seriously man I really don’t understand what the f is going on right now in the world and in my bubble. All I can muster up is that you will be very very much missed Jeff!!! I’m so distraught man.. I seriously don’t even know what to say or how to say anything about his passing today March 31, 2020. R. I. P. Rest and rip in peace Jeff! RIP to the man whole told us the truth in his opinion. I always loved his commentary and esp his love letters.
awesome episodes could listen to grosso all night
Look how hip Grosso looks! Buy his board! No joke, best board I ever rode!
Always some neato shaped planks.
"Last time I watched street league, I woke up and it was over" hahaha so accurate
That was intense! This episode was a trip
I have probably watched this 40 times. GROSSO FOREVER
Grosso's last words ring so true in current times, theres people out there to help if you want it! RIP Ben Raemers.
I'm so happy for this interview. Seriously Nine Club is in the unique position to help gather all of this skateboard history. I know things are changing rapidly and skateboarding will never be the same, but that is why we can't forget the past.
