    I've watch this episode way back when the casual was still growing. But did not take Reggie's tips seriously. Just right about now like ironically youtube's algorithm suggested it to me. Now that i come to realized i've wasted a lot of money on buying different piece on different kinds of aesthetics. I've been through most of it. Minimal, Techwear, Avantgarde, Sporty. Utilitarian etc. Because i like them all. Stupid thing is, i wore half of them just once and some i did not wear them at all. and just sell them half the price to get some money back. Now i am having a identity crisis on what two fashion style that i just really want to focus. every bit of advice on this video is on point. i can relate to it more than ever. Thank you Reggie hope to catch you someday when i got back to Japan. More success to the channel brother.

    Its taken me about a year to get a good sense of fashion, what looks good on me, and feels good. Now I just have to go and get them. The hardest part will be committing to high quality pieces, that i cant get all at once, and trying to slowly replace the items I currently have.

    I have a little scenario that I need advice on
    I don't really have a style right now and want to find one, and I started to do some research on brands located both near me in the USA and in the West Tokyo fashion wards(下北沢、渋谷、原宿・神具前). Should I:
    A) Do extensive research to the point that I know exactly what store, brand, and style I want when I shop; and where every store is located and exactly where to go?
    B) Do enough research that I somewhat know what I'm looking for but I base it more on if I like the garment itself and just find general areas for what I want?
    C) Something different because I have no clue what I'm doing to be honest.
    So far I've been doing alot of "A" but I feel like "B" might be better. Anyways, I love your videos, they're great for people like me starting to get into streetwear/fashion!

    I spent way too much on things I don't wear so #2 is way too relatable now. I now invest in long-term pieces that I know will always look good rather than a ton of random trendy things that add up in price and I'll likely rock once.

      Heat Pursuit yea actually save up and only buy 1 piece per year and make that a classic to you. If you really listen to what Reggie was saying you would not have to ask this question I wish you the best.

    • @mylesbrown9166

      Dilquensio Daniël I meant one high priced piece per year that you love and have to have. Everything else can be basics.

    • @heatpursuit
      @heatpursuit 7 років тому

      Myles Brown you bugging, I’d rather put that money towards great food and great experiences style ain’t important enough to break my wallet for. I don’t need to buy high end clothes to get the high style look I’m perfectly happy with dressing according to my budget.

    • @mylesbrown9166
      @mylesbrown9166 7 років тому +1

      Heat Pursuit I get that I’m not saying to kill your budget but there are rare classic pieces out there that stand the test of time that are worth having. If your style is not your lifestyle than I agree stick to what makes you happy. I would much rather have experiences as well but to visit Japan and grab a sweet piece that you can always look back on with nostalgia is kinda cool also.

    As always quality content. I wish more "hypebeasts" would take your advice and put some thought into fits instead of rocking head to toe all over designs bc they don't know how to piece together outfits unless they have the same exact design on them. To each his own but to me when I see someone like Mark Gonzales, who has unlimited access to Supreme, but mixes and matches to create a unique look. I think his style is way better than most of these "hypebeasts" who purchase only what is "hype" aka popular. What happened to originality and individuality?

I mainly of course own bape products and I love mostly anything ridiculously loud. For most of my life Ive just worn basic dark blue jeans, a t shirt, and or a hoodie or leather jacket. I feel like theres something missing though but I dont know what. Is anyone able to give any sort of suggestions or pro tips as to how I can be less bland and stand out more besides wearing bape.
