After lived & shopped in JP for 2 years, while the genre & styles' range are crazy, the only issue really is: Expensive. Select 2nd hand shops are best to go: Kindal, Ragtag, 2nd street. Personal favourite: Koenji area.
I know it’s not your focus, but could you do a video on women’s fashion? Most only focus on fast fashion brands. One of the only good videos was your old one which was like several years ago 😹
The shop at 4:53 is right up my alley. Would also be interested in any Japanese brands/stores similar to undercover or Lad Musician. Literally flying to Japan next week!
Looking for smaller, less known brands/shops that have more of an oversized silhouette and utilitarian vibe. Something similar to the oversized silhouette of Anglan in Korea and the utilitarianism of Human Made vests and bags. Also love vintage military as well which aligns with the utilitarian vibe.
Amazing stuff as usual Reggie! Was actually rly curious what post avant-garde was? Is it just taking experimental lessons from avant-garde designs + perspectives and bringing it to a more rtw pallet? might be completely misunderstanding it!
Hey there ! I just stumbled upon your channel and wow, what a fantastic discovery! Your content is amazing. 😊 I'm super excited because I'm planning a trip to Japan next year. Your videos are already getting me hyped for the adventure! Quick fashion question for you: I'm currently exploring a new style - something like minimal, elegant oversized pieces. Issey Miyake is a huge inspiration, but a bit out of my price range. Do you know any similar brands that are more budget-friendly? I'm totally open to second-hand options too! Thanks for your awesome videos. Can't wait to see more! 👍
I was surprised that Harajuku was not all the flash and lights I expected at first. Stumbled upon really cool shops there. Found my current pair of eyeglass frames (my favorite ever!) at a small shop there. But I can’t remember the name! It carried both vintage and brand new pieces. I remember they also sold a lot of pins and patches. Anyone know the place?
Hwy I'll be heading to Japan in October for two weeks for the first time. I will be on the hunt for North Face Purple label and I generally like to shop at Uniqlo. Could you please recommend some other adjacent brands please 🙂
Hey Reggie ✌🏻 Thanks for the great insight. I was in Japan in March/April of this year. Great country. Wish I had known more in advance. But I‘ll be back 😎 Could you please recommend Japanese alternatives for Y-3 and also Yohji Yamamoto? I’m a big fan of the old master 😃 Thx & greetings from Germany 🙃
Hello im in the US i would like to know japanese brands that have a Jhon Wick vibe thank you for all the info oh and if getting sk8 shoes do i go up a size?
How much will i struggle as a tall person when shopping in japan? I plan to do a semester abroad there and want to buy some clothing but Im afraid that i will be disappointed when it comes to sizing. :/
Hi Reggie, what brands and stores/shopping districts do you recommend for Japanese yukata drape/layering (similar to your preferred style, yoji etc) and tactical athleisure ? Cheers
Can you do a video on all the Japanese jean brands? Where to go to find them or if you like that aesthetic. Example: Burgus Plus, Sugar Cane, studio d’artisan, iron heart, the real mccoys.
Hi Reggie, in your shopping videos can you cover where to look for high quality basic t-shirts or long sleeves for men? Similar to your hoodie videos. I found that video very helpful as I like japanese street fashion but the more 'normie' side of it. Thanks
Thank you for the tips ^^ Do you have any brand suggestions that are like h.naoto but lean more heavily into Lolita? My husband and I will he coming to Japan this month for our honeymoon, so I'd like to find some brands to add to my list :)

I'm coming back to Japan this year, and I plan coming back home with a whole new wardrobe

2 videos the same day!!! 👍
Just got here in Japan these past couple of days and it’s so overwhelming lol
Please advise: 60 year old, female, public school art teacher in a hot and humid climate. What brands should I shop?
You should be prioritising material, not brand. Look into breathable lightweight fabric like linen.
uniqlo?
@@eduardovaldez4416 Thank. I already shop at Uniqlo and I'm looking to expand my wardrobe.
@@LuckyJujube oh okay lol.
One of the best UA-cam channels, no contest

I know trad is very popular in Japan - but where in Tokyo would you recommend for VINTAGE TRAD? These videos are invaluable so thank you 🙏

I'm wanting to look more into Visual Kei fashion more specifically. Although it's not really mainstream wear.

Looking forward to a Goros deep dive
I like Noir. I think their branch is in Osaka. Any adjacent brands?

Where can I shop for Japanese Americana like Studio D’Artisan/M’arijuan?
How about Mode Off and similar stores?

Try out HARE and not conventional, they’re rather similar to yohji (while being cheaper too)
