Jenna Leigh been a Cubs fan since 84 and they moved their rookie league team to my hometown and then the big league Cubs lost to San Diego. Through 89 to San Francisco. 98... let's forget 03...07...08...15...for those who said it would lose its sweetness, it's gotten sweeter. It has actually taken a month to really appreciate it.
Jason Mullins how cool! You really did grow up with the Cubs! I get what you mean-- I'm still just really appreciating what it means. I've dreamed of watching the team celebrate on the field after winning it all, but seeing it was so surreal. I'm still sharing videos and articles on Facebook and Twitter and instagram, even now!! Lol
Thank you Katie. I waited 50 years to see the Cubs win the series. Now the dream is real. Such a beautiful song. Captures what we all feel. Cry every time I see this. I keep hearing Harry in my head. "CUBS WIN!! CUBS WIN!!" Thank you again so very much.
Come on Katie trying to get me deep in the feels lol if u don't cry ur balls off ur not even a Cubs fan but god damn 16 thumbs up for you KTD fly that W high af and proud af
Thank you. I have never seen a video capture the feeling felt by millions like this one does. Anyone that doesn't understand what it means to be a multi-generation Cubs fan just needs to see this.
Seeing this song in 2020 during the COVID outbreak I see it as a song of hope for the future. Apply these lyrics to this crazy world we are living in right now and it makes you cry more. Soon it will be like a World Series parade in every city and town in America we can get through this
I'm sitting in the hallway about to go to class and I hear this! I'm crying in the hall way trying to hold myself together! This got me real good I can't believe it I love this song I totally love it!!
Absolutely beautiful. I just found this today & it makes me cry happy, happy tears every time I listen to it! Brings me back to being a llittle girl at Wrigley, watching my grandfather watching the game on a Sunday, to listening to it on WGN radio and memory after memory. Thank you! ❤️
When I need a good cry (tears of joy and a sad tear for my dad who I wish was still here to see our Cubbies win). Thank you so much Katie, it’s a perfect song and in my top 10 of all time.
Awesome, just amazing and perfectly fitting song. Brought tears to think of all my older friends and their parents and grandparents that didn't get to see our Cubs win. But happy for my young fellow Cubs fans & my niece and nephew that will saw the Cubs win it all.
Well, it seems as whenever I feel like shedding a tear(s) all I have to do is watch anything about the Cubs and their world series victory. Thank you Katie Day for this wonderful song. Keep up the awesome work! #CUBSNATION
This song is absolutely beautiful in its simplicity. It sums up exactly what it was like to be a Cubs fan that moment we finally won. I listened to "We Got the Fire" multiple times throughout the playoffs and loved it! Now I watch this one and try my best not to cry all the way through it. My record so far is about 4 seconds before the tears are falling. Thank you so much for sharing with us all!
@KatieDay beautiful song! I listened to We Got The Fire nonstop during the playoffs and now this one perfectly sums up how we all feel. I'll just have to grab a box of tissues and keep watching this. thank you!
Wow...you really know how to get to the "Heart of Cubs Fans" like no one else! Absolutely love your music, and have listened to your Cubbie jams for over a month straight (even while at Wrigley during Game 3!). But, this one? Just PERFECT. Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent with all of us. :-) #WEwereapartofHISTORY!
I BELONG to an international internet group and we have an annual together. Every year before this I would sing Go Cubs Go or Eddie Vedder's song. This year I sang this. It's not a sports group but people know how much I love the team.
#KatieDay Best song and montage of the Cubs, ever.. (wiping eyes) I'm gonna have to watch this several times a day until baseball season returns. Thank you for this!!
As a St. Louis Blues Fan, I know how the Cub Fans feel about winning the World Series. I waited 52 years to see the Blues win the Stanley Cup. our someday in St. Louis came on June 12th 2019.
What an absolutely wonderful song and a remarkable voice Katie. I love the video and song for capturing what it felt like on that faithful night. I especially like in the video seeing the players tearing up and the one gentleman in the cemetery sharing the night with his loved one. I've watched it several times a day since I found it. Although I was not in Chicago (I no longer live there) when they won, this makes me feel as if I was. Thank you!
How about an ugly cry trigger warning next time?!? This is so amazing. I shared it on Facebook (probably shoulda asked first), and all my friends love it! Thank you! P.S. My 3 year old daughter has a new name for "We got the fire." She calls it "Go Cubs Go - the Cool One." 😂
I cried, and I'M a Mets fan!!! Sorry about 1969 and 2015, no hard feelings, right?
I keep thinking every time I watch this, that I won't cry. nope. I cry every single time.

Cubs should have added this song to their World Series documentary. More tears would have been shed. Wonderful song. Cry every single time.
(Puts on video and says, I’m a tough guy)... Cried immediately...
And now I'm crying again. Thanks Katie!
I turned fifty yesterday and I still can't get thru this without weeping like a child. So, so good Katie...
This should be played on the scoreboard on opening day of 2017. Absolutely beautiful, Katie.
