- Thank you for coming!
We started a project to leave trees that were cut for various reasons.
In this video, a vase is created using a wooden lathe with broken logs.
This technique is called woodturning.
Can you complete from this crack? !
I hope you can see it to the end.
I would also appreciate if you could comment and subscribe.
I will post my work and work scenery on Instagram, so please follow me if you like!

Thank you for your comment! Congratulations on purchasing a lathe! There is a lot of danger to start this first, so try making small bowls or glasses.

The skill of Your craftsmanship shows Yamabiko- others should not only BE INSPIRED if attempting such projects, but
“”COMMON SENSE “ on their behalf when using certain tools is paramount.
I want a lathe so bad. Loved this.
I warn you now, it's an addictive hobby, and can get expensive pretty quickly! ... Tip, don't waste money on a cheap lathe, you'll quickly out-grow it.
I really like your videos. Your technique is very structured and I really enjoy your patience with this piece.
Thank you so much!!🙏
I'm very happy to hear that!!

Nicely done. Most would chuck the log in the opposite direction or split the log. Too many wood turners are also using resins. I like how you show skill going against the grain. Great work!
Thank you very much!!👏🇯🇵
Many people commented on the resin.
I am considering using it for wood that would be difficult to make without resin.
The profile of your vase is really voluptuous. 💕
Thank you very much!! From Japan🙇🇯🇵
Um trabalho muito bonito. Parabéns.
Obrigada Estou muito feliz!
You do lovely work. I have one design suggestion though. The hollow forms seem to end a bit abruptly, and by that I mean the bottom “goes flat” rather quickly. You might try planning your shape to allow continuing the curve to bottom a little longer. If the eye can project the bottom of the curve ending above the table, the pieces will look a bit lighter and, to some, a bit more elegant. Just something you might want to try.
Thank you for important comments! The word was very convincing to me. Incorporate into future shape planning! Thank you very much!
Nicely done, sir. Vert nice indeed.
Thank you!! Paul Orth!!
Wow ammazibg ! I have never seen anything like this ! Enjoyed it very very much ! Thank you for sharing !

Awesome and very clean design. 👍👍👍
Thank you! I will do my best to make good designs in the future. happy!
Good job! If you like hollow forms, a tool post that extends inside the work may be useful to you. Cheers!
Thank you! I like hollowform, which is not made in Japan. In the future, we will consider a tool post and a three-point steady.enjoy the holidays♪
Pq esses vídeos são tão satisfatórios?

So beautiful work n enjoyable. Cheers
Thank you very much!! Sony H K!!👏✨🇯🇵
Lovely work what finish did you apply to it after turning
I’ve got a small carbide tool with a bend on the neck which is great for hollowing out
Keep up the good work 👌
Thanks for your comment! For finishing, I used a Japanese product called "Kigatame Ace".
It controls the progress of the crack without changing its appearance or feel.
I think carbide tools are the best!
I use gouges and scrapers because they are easy to resharpen.
yamabiko1220 I’ve got a small diamond sharping stone which gives a good edge for carbide it saves on blades 🥃🥃
I admire the risks you take in your work. Very nice piece.
Thank you !!I
didn't have time, so I wasn't sharpening.
I understood the importance of sharpening.
Thank you for the evaluation!
@@YamabikoWoodArt what you accomplish with a dull tool many cannot with even the sharpest of tools and years of practice. You have great vision and talent.
@@ElbowFalls I am glad to receive the evaluation.
I'm still studying turning and video editing.
I will do my best to make it look faster and more beautiful.
lovely video, as a admirer of turning /lathe work can i ask why the log is put on that way and not side on? as it’s already rounded? is it to do with the grain or final look of the vase?
Thank you for your feedback! The reason this tree is lying is that the stem diameter / chain saw work can be easily adjusted. Furthermore, the expression of the colored log will be rich depending on the direction! It doesn't affect the shape of the vase much, but my lathe is small and the installation is limited, so the chainsaw is relatively easy!
Show de bola 👏👏👏🖒🖒🖒
Nice, cheers from Connecticut
Thank you very much!! Greetings from Japan🇯🇵
beautiful
Thank you so much!!!👏🇯🇵
شكرا ...رائعة ...
شكرا لك دائما! سيكون من المشجع!
"This method is very dangerous"
Sure thing, chief 😎👍
It is very interesting and dangerous, but the finish beautiful. The lathe machine stable, no vibration.
Thank you for your comment!!✨
Think of the technique as entertainment to make it look fun!
Vibration is greatly reduced by sharpening the tool.
Was this log wet or dry? assume by the deformation in the final vase that it was wet.
Thanks for your comment! Is the correct answer! This log has been cut for about half a year. This tree became a unique work that was transformed by drying! Thanks for watching!
Very nice
Thank you for your comment!! From Japan🙏🇯🇵
Beautiful vase. First time watching and enjoyed the video.
Thanks for your comment! I am very happy to have fun! I will do my best to make videos that people can enjoy!
Great work
Thank you for your comment!! From Japan🙇🇯🇵
It never occured to me that someone might orient their starting work that way, it looked so awkward I wondered how you were going to do it. Obviously starting from the side was the way to go.
Nice
Thank you! ✨
Very good job well done
Thank you very much!!!🙏
I'm very happy to hear that!!
Nobody expect how the way he did in opposite that was actually right for this kind of product.
This is a creature do if you at the point total grains of wood come outside.
Thank you for your comment!!
I will learn more about English and trees!
Very good. 👍👍👍
