@@The8ightBot well drinking water is #1 and spitting can help sooth the lining of your throat though take it from someone that actually does have gerd there is a major difference between gerd and acid reflux and taking low dosage medication will help if it’s constantly happening if not it’s good to not take anti acids or any over the counter meds frequently. You will know you have gerd if you throw up with nothing coming out but you keep heaving. Coughing to help get something out of your vocal cords mainly when it feels on fire. And personally I get headaches and I can’t sleep on one side. Also gerd will not give you a voice like corpse his voice was weakened by gerd and is very painful he didn’t get help immediately which caused major damage to his vocal cords. I have met people that purposely strain their vocal cords to get it and fake this illness don’t do that.
Yea It is. i have the same thing and for me it mostly happens every night. But I’m trying little things to help stop it for now, since idk any medication and cant tell the doctors at the moment Oof. I try chewing my food more and eating a few hours before I got to bed :)
The acid reflux treatment for gerd is to stop eating trouble-maker foods. The usual suspects include coffee, chocolate, alcohol, carbonated beverages, mint, garlic, onions, and spicy foods. Smoking also irritates the esophagus.

Every time I eat my food my stomach bloats and most times it burns at the top. I always have an unpleasant taste like sour-ish at the back of my throat and sometimes I get sharp chest pains but not all the time. I also find it hard to swallow at times and I have a regular cough that is a little bit ticklish. I’m getting an endoscopy at the end of the month to find out what it is. I’ve had it for 3 years. My doctor thinks it sounds like GERD. It’s so hard to live with every day.

@@snowy-1920 I’m still practically the exact same. Since I posted this comment, I’ve improved about 5-10% maybe and I’m just ok gaviscon every day. Nothing has worked for me but they did find that it was Acid Reflux and they can’t do much for me tbh. They can give me a acid monitoring test but that’s it really x

I have most of the symptoms
I just got through with a flare up yesterday. My throat was sore this morning from the acid I kept burping up. Eggy/Sulfur burps are the worst. Tickling in my throat when I’d try to eat my breakfast this morning as well. I’ve had GERD since 2019, it’s not fun.
Anyone know this? Two weeks ago, I started to have Acid Reflux/GERD symptoms. Searched the web and stopped drinking coffee and softdrinks. Then recently, the acid flows back to the stomach but still experiencing heartburn for 6 days. Some said this one is just a Fast Heartburn, while my conclusion is Heartburn and Palpitation. Anyone experienced this stuff? I'm still 16 years old and kinda obese.
Note: I stopped drinking caffeine stuffs and products that may affect my acid for 2 weeks, but my Hearburn is still ongoing.

Depends how often. If you have heartburn or acid reflux occasionally then don’t worry too much because it’s normal, but GERD is when you’re having those symptoms multiple times a week or even every day and it’s intense and has an impact on your life

ive had it for 20 untreated and it ruined my throat with scar tissue and can barely eat anymore without it getting stuck. it sucks

Can someone help me? Its been 2 days since I last ate chicken and thought that I swallowed a bone. Im not sure but after swallowing, the sensation of having something is in my throat occured. I dont know if its my anxiety to getting choked is what that triggers it or is it a bone that I swallowed.

please dont say that. im cursed with it and my voice isnt deep or nice, im constantly suffering and its caused my throat to close up because of scar tissue so i choke on all my food. theres a lot of parts of it that people dont talk about and the absolute misery of it is one of them.
Please don’t think like this. I only developed it like two months ago but every single day makes me want to cry and scream because it’s so fucking painful. I’m hardly confident enough to sing anymore because my throat is already so scratchy and everything is uncomfortable.
I can’t even imagine what it’s like for people who’ve had it for years. I first heard about gerd because of corpse too, and yes he has a cool voice or you might idolise and wanna be like him, but actually having gerd isn’t nice at all.
