Indonesia is not a traditional meat producer country yet their meat dishes are one of the best out there. I think their mastery of using different spices in their dishes are the reason for this. Not surprising since they are literally the spice islands as we know it back then.

During my Java Bali journey over the recent Christmas and New Year holidays, I spent a night in Solo and fondly recalled this video. The following day, I ventured to Ayam Mbok Cimplek in Jatipuro. Despite the considerable distance from Solo, I harbor no regrets, as the grilled chicken there offers a distinct and exceptionally delightful taste. Adding to the unique experience, we had the privilege of placing our orders directly with the kitchen. It's worth noting that everyone in the kitchen still remembers you, Max.
