  • @Chads_Taco and I hit the desert to go over everything he has done to his long travel 2nd gen tacoma, and it wouldn't be a proper video if we didn't bash on it afterwards.
    The build includes parts from Dirt King Fabrication, King Shocks, Ultra Wheels, Toyo Tires, Baja Designs, Evil Fabrication, PRP, and so much more!

    Sic build on that Taco. My inner fenders are done. I am planning on removing them and replace it with tubing. Thanks for sharing.

    That’s a nice truck! I like that it’s 2wd and I love it’s a 2nd gen. It gives me hope.

    • @desertdime
      @desertdime  3 роки тому +5

      Yessir! Don’t ever think that you “need” 4wd to have a bad ass prerunner. With the right setup and depending on what you’re using it for, it won’t even matter.

    • @yzrippin
      @yzrippin 2 роки тому

      @@desertdime well technically by definition a prerunner is a two-wheel drive with locking rear differential used to "pre-run" the track before they bust out the trophy trucks

    Harbor freight 12ton jack works on lifted tacos and (forcibly) fits in the stock jack location. I got a flat at work some time ago and felt stupid for not having a jack, lol. Best of all it’s $30.

    what do the recovery points look like on a truck like this? more specifically on the rear.

    • @desertdime
      @desertdime  Рік тому

      Depending on how stuck he is and how much he trusts the hardware I suppose the fabricated bumpers can be the recovery points. You’d have to assume that since he’s a desert driven prerunner the only way he’d get suck really is in some sand/silt at worst so it shouldn’t be too hard to get out of even with traction boards. If he was getting stuck in say some mud then that’s where the concerns would come in
