The reason why brake and accelarator is mixing up with each other is that the feature in the Logitech app has it set as dual axis or smth like that. When you switch it to single axis for the pedals, it fixes it and functions as it should
The emulator works fine in terms of mapping controls, if you have a logitech wheel, make sure to uncheck dual axis or multi axis for your pedal and set it to single axis
Update: I tried applying the same method done here to Initial D Ver.3 and it works like a charm! Controller wise, I used an xbox series s and PS5 and it works like how it should. The only difference is that the Local port number on the second instance is "37393" instead of "37392". I tried "37392" and Initial D Ver.3 refused to run. I haven't tried Ver.1 If I can get two seperate PC's to link up and play Initial D with no issues, I'll come back and refer it to here or make a dedicated video. Huge thanks to @BTGPlay for even getting us this far!
would this allow me to play with someone not on the same network? i saw the act as a server and port forwarding stuff and thats what i'm looking to do. my friends and i live in different states
From what I've tested, No. The latency is too much and ends up desyncing. You can only do it on the same computer or possibly 2 computers connected in the same room.
@@btgplay If 2 pc connected on the same room do you have to setup the IP addresses or the systems will find their peer automatically once they are both in the same network?
I kept getting this error Naomi GDROM: Could not find the file to decrypt I already have the CHD file for Initial D AS 2 but i keep getting this error My Initial AS 1 boots up fine
Sorry I just saw this, if you're having issues with the chd file. Then it's probably the rom that's the issue if AS1 works. Arcade Stage 2 has multiple language versions and all the files need to match up with the correct versions. I'd suggest getting a different rom.
Yes, there is a way to do it but I haven't messed around with it yet. I've seen some people even use USB sticks like the cards you get from the Arcade Cabs, but I think you can save it locally. I'll do some more research and if I figure out how to do it, I'll make a video about it.
@@btgplay You have made some solid progress just getting this far. I got the imported InitialD PS2 disc and a boot disc with tool to open the tray. That with the Logitech wheel was an incredible combination for the time to get that arcade InitialD experience. The only down side was not having the versus experience with it, and honestly that made the game a massive success in the arcade. I'm looking forward to more videos. This is really awesome what you are working on.
That explains a lot, also I'm having a problem with the controls. I'm using a keyboard and a controller, both seem to not work properly in the parts where one needs to select, like it was some kind of drift problem and for some reason it only happens here, not while driving.
@@abadbarista212 Yeah the controls are weird, but last time I tried it with the controller I had no issues. I'd look at the mappings and check to see if the thumbsticks and dpad are setup correctly.
You can hook up 2 monitors to one PC and put each instance of flycast on each monitor. I've only seen 2 PCs working using the online function of flycast, which does not work well because the game goes out of sync. I never could get it to work, so I wouldn't suggest it.

Great tutorial I hope I can get flycast to work in the first place bc I'm crap with emulators
Same dude, this was such a pain to get it working. Hopefully, this video helps ya. Playing single player is pretty easy to setup.

Can you build up and save your cars tuning progress in single player mode, and use that car in 2 player mode as well?

Do you use the same Emulator and the same romset to start the 2 player game or do you make a 2nd flycast emu and a 2nd romset for it?
Same emulator and romset, just run the program twice to get 2 instances.
i cant even get it to run on its own let alone two player
where is the button of view?
Can i play this with my friend over the net through this setting?
Last time I checked, it does not work well online and that uses a different method that I don't know.
@@btgplay thx for lettin me know :)
Does it need to be an specific version of flycast? I was trying to do it in a different version but it didn't work although it has the same options.
It should work with the most recent version of flycast for Windows. As long as it's not flycast dojo, I tried it with that and it didn't work.
