    Thanks for the video! I especially like this kind of camera view, as it feels like I am driving it! I’m in the process of searching and test drive, and might be buying this model! You might be given me a positive idea!

    Some great details that only an owner can provide. 23k is a great price. Also experienced dropped wireless Apple CarPlay in a K5. Was very annoying. Interesting to hear about the dual clutch at low speeds. In our GLI the dual clutch will make some noises but has proven very smooth in stop and go traffic. Congrats on a great car!

      Wireless android also drops randomly in my elantra. I'm wondering of it would be better just to do a wired connection

      Yea I mean it’s not a fast car to modern standards but if you can keep it in boost it’s quite fun. Get into manual shift mode, turn traction control off, and keep it above 3500rpm

      @@mrjfox1000 I typically just downshift to get myself into the power band and let the car do the rest but lately I’ve been leaving it in manual shift mode because I like the playfulness

    23k??? You stole the damn thing! I have questions: Do you regret the automatic?
    Are the seats hard as rock?
    I owned a Veloster R-Spec turbo with 6speed. Hated it! The seats and inability to get comfortable behind the wheel prompted my to trade after 8 months and at a loss. It shifted very smoothly though and was quick enough.I never even test drove before buying. Special order. I am hoping the cabin in the N line is world’s better.

    • @auto_joe
      @auto_joe  2 роки тому +1

      I worked very hard for that deal😅
      I still don’t regret the DCT as I commute 3 hours a day in and out of Boston for work.
      The seats aren’t hard but they aren’t plush either. I have a sensitive back and most days the seat is a joy to sit in but others it can get to me if it’s a drive of more than 3 hours. I’m about 240lbs and 5’ 10” so I’m a heavier guy and I have plenty of room in the cabin. I went from a sonata beforehand too which was like driving a boat. I chose the car over the KIA Forte GT which I could’ve gotten for 4k less, because of the extra room in the cabin, the more comfortable seat, and the power/heated seat options. Overall I think the N Line interior is at a value for this price point. Good luck with yours!

    Wish I could have got that color, didn't offer it in Canada. So got a Amazon grey elantra nline. Want to do the muffler and rez delete but don't want to mess with the warranty.

    • @auto_joe
      @auto_joe  3 роки тому

      I agree with the warranty part. I also won’t do mods because I won’t be keeping the car for more than 3 years

    My dealer told me smart mode learns from you. So you need to drive it a fair bit for it to learn and behave more in line with your driving. It's sucks though you guys get less options in your american models. But on the other hand you do get blue link which I wish ours got :(

    • @auto_joe
      @auto_joe  3 роки тому

      Hey Raziel,
      From everything I’ve read about the feature, that statement is false and your dealer is wrong. I could be wrong but even on the Hyundai site it states that the drive mode monitors how you are currently driving and puts you into the drive mode according to how you are driving. NOT a smart system that is “learning”

    • @solreaver83
      @solreaver83 3 роки тому

      @@auto_joe interesting, probably not the case though but our version is different to yours so maybe the system is different here. As I edited in my post ours has more things in it then the american versions

    • @auto_joe
      @auto_joe  3 роки тому

      @@solreaver83 i would imagine the system would only be different by model, not different by origin in which the car is being sold to. I’d look into this more if I had hyundai press contacts like some of the more known car reviewers

      @@auto_joe no problem, I'm in Australia as you may have guessed and I know our version is unique to Australia for some reason. For eg we are the only nation getting this in right hand drive apparently. And a lot of the options and extras are standard on ours from my reading and reviews I've seen (not all of course but some)
