I am glad Sofyan mentions at 13:41about the clutch. So, in 3 years Hyundai failed to fix the clutch. That was one of my disappointments in 2017. Nothing beats VW and Mazda clutches, which feel super natural. Is this the same setup as Kia GT? I sat in it at the car show. You don't need to drive one to tell, this is junky in the clutch and shifter department.
@Ayush Malpeddi Well, ok. I might wasn't clear enough but the 1.6L T powertrain in Elantra is equivalent to Kia Forte GT. Not Stinger GT. And Forte GT has this, which I tested.
Alright I get it, the N is coming. If I wanted to hear about the Elantra N I'd be watching other videos - I came here to watch a review of the car in the title, the N-Line.
So out of all the N Line's they plan to produce, what percentage of them you think will actually be in manual? Maybe 20%, 25%? One out of every five or 6 produced I'd gather. So you'll most likely either have to settle on whatever color is available at the time, be patient and wait for your preference or have to expand your dealer inventory search radius to 500 or 1000 miles out I bet. Hoping that won't be the case when they do finally arrive...
For Canada I would definitely want an AWD car. It's so hard to move away to a boring car under 400 hp for a daily commute. Manual would be awesome, but I'm always finding myself hoping that Subaru comes out with a better WRX STI with some electric range or really good fuel mileage. I would take any other well built fun car that has an awesome AWD system. had a '13 500hp WRX STI and a 490 hp Audi A6 and they are both just excellent in any weather, but take too much gas and depreciation hit to drive 250 kms every day.
Sofi, can u comment on the difference from the previous gen Elantra sport? Is it basically the same.? Chassis design, feel? Steering? Ride? DCT performance? thx much!
It kind of is annoying knowing that the N-line doesn’t have the same tech as the higher trim Elantras. They should’ve at least added the dual screen setup even if that would’ve increased the price a grand.
Totally lame that they've deleted the rear-seat a/c vents for the US market. C'mon, Hyundai, Honda, VW et al, how much are those deletes actually saving you? And no charging ports? Fail. Oh well, at least it looks cool and can be had with a manual. Hopefully the actual N will rectify some of this.

Is it worth the wait over the Veloster for a daily driver? Or what would you suggest I look at, to purchase instead? (Manual)
Thanks for the great review! It is an interesting car. Looks like it would be fun.
The grill on this one looks better than the catfish Sonata.
You are correct
Finally someone said that fact
Great review. Aren't you also doing a full review for the base models of the all-new Redesigned 2021 Hyundai Elantra Sedan?
Yes he will just like other channels have
Selectable Drive Modes might only be available on the DCT as it has been offered since 2017 on the Sport!
Wow this car is beautiful
For Canada I would definitely want an AWD car.
It's so hard to move away to a boring car under 400 hp for a daily commute. Manual would be awesome, but I'm always finding myself hoping that Subaru comes out with a better WRX STI with some electric range or really good fuel mileage. I would take any other well built fun car that has an awesome AWD system. had a '13 500hp WRX STI and a 490 hp Audi A6 and they are both just excellent in any weather, but take too much gas and depreciation hit to drive 250 kms every day.
They're killing it. Just need to get rid of blue led lighting for everything. Go white.
Who else thought the 2020 model was HIDEOUS!!!!
yes lol. Definitely needed a face lift

Thank the lord....
it no longer looks like a cartoonish Pikachu car! LoL
I did and Hyundai knew it immediately too

My 2019 Hyundai Elantra Sport came with LED headlights... I don't understand why they would take a step back with this latest iteration?
Regarding your options for manual, no mention of the Forte GT?
The front reminds me of the Sentra
thats what i thought it was!!! i was like dam they doing a refresh already!!
Sofi, can u comment on the difference from the previous gen Elantra sport? Is it basically the same.?
Chassis design, feel? Steering? Ride? DCT performance? thx much!
The drive mode selector is supposed to be that big circle to the left of the instrument cluster.
It kind of is annoying knowing that the N-line doesn’t have the same tech as the higher trim Elantras. They should’ve at least added the dual screen setup even if that would’ve increased the price a grand.
Well it cost 6500 dollar to replace it..something you should consider
The infotainment looks like aftermarket compared to previous Sport which is integrated in dash.
WTF is that round thing to the left of the dash??? I saw it on the full N Elantra as well.
I am so surprised by the exhaust 😳 it’s good
Totally lame that they've deleted the rear-seat a/c vents for the US market. C'mon, Hyundai, Honda, VW et al, how much are those deletes actually saving you? And no charging ports? Fail. Oh well, at least it looks cool and can be had with a manual. Hopefully the actual N will rectify some of this.
It’s a shame badgesnobs still think Hyundai and Kia are “junk”, they are the same people who still think Honda is “reliable”
Pretty sure Honda still is reliable, my last two Accords were pretty solid.
Honda still is relatively reliable though lol..Ive owned one for the last 5 years.
@@someUsername2442 new turbo motors having oil delution. Type r havubg heating failure and widespread gear grind. Horrible for a "reliable" brand.
@@IReahpZz exactly Honda is sitting on there laurels
Anyone knows the function of that circle on the left of the continous cockpit????
Ok!!! is the place for Drive Mode selector when It is not installed is like that dead circle, sorry
Yes manual, I want this car so bad😍
I got it yesterday and it's awesome! 6speed manual!!
Needs a lsd to be competitive and sadly Hyundai/Kia keep cutting corners on the 1.6T fwd combination and only offering with an open diff here in North America. Im just happy the Civic SI and Jetta GLI still offer a mechanical lsd and can put the power down properly
Drive it before you knock it. It's faster than the si
