I've been using Meguair's Super Degreaser diluted 10:1 and green APC for years to clean carpets and seats. I never ended buying this APC because I absolutely love the green APC but now I might get some. Sometimes the super foaming action of the green APC can be a pain to deal with. Great video as always Phil
Thanks man! Yeah still enjoy using that green APC also. Great stuff.
Great video fellow detailer. I'm lucky enough to have a detail shop in Las Vegas where I can pick up any meguiars products locally. I love their labeled bottles. I have a bunch of them.
Thanks! That’s awesome!
When I first started detailing I used the APC Plus and was bummed when it disappeared from the product line. Picked up a new gallon of this and will be trying it out on an interior job this week! I use the Green APC pretty regularly on all of my jobs, but sometimes the alkaline fumes are too much and it’s probably not a good thing when a cleaner causes you to cough 🤪
Interesting...I really like this new formula. Let me know what you think.
Miranda Detailing did you have to neutralize the carpets after ? Just curious.
I didn’t for this job. If I notice that the stains s as returning or it’s oxidizing by turning brown I will use a fabric rinse. But it’s not needed all the time. Not sure why. 🤷🏻♂️
Hey Ben, how were the fumes after you tried out Citrus Power Cleaner Plus? Looking forward to never using D101 again, or any product with 2-butoxyethanol :) The only way I can get D101 to not irritate my lungs is by diluting it 1:20. I've heard good things about d-limonene based cleaners
@@MirandaDetailing Which cases would you reach for the green APC rather than this new cleaner?
Awesome! Thanks for this. Definitely gonna pick up some. I love how it’s dilutable.
Awesome video! Would love to see a video on how you take care of your microfiber towels & cleaning equipment. Would be awesome.
Thanks for the idea!
Wish I knew about this before I payed for over priced small bottles of different products,I now realized this all in one is the way to go
It definitely is a great product! We have some more videos on dedicated leather and food and tan in stains on upholstery and carpets coming soon also!
@@MirandaDetailing hey Phil on the fiber rinsed stuff how do you use it ? Like do you pour some in your extractor or use it in a spray bottle and rub in the spots that come back up ?
@@daltoncrawford4849 hi. So you can use it either way. I find it more effective to spray it directly on the carpets or upholstery and brush it in.
@@MirandaDetailing thank you so much ! I was thinking about buying some it’s expensive though $60 but must work pretty good from the last video i seen you use it in and from Jason at Chicago auto pros
You’re welcome!! 😎👍🏼

IF I may ask, what steam machine did you use on this video ? How do do like it ? Is it reliable / durable ? , I'm in the market for a steamer, just looking for feedback, it looks like the one that you used works very well. Thanks !
Nice. I got to get some for my ride.
Super Phil. In the end, is it more effective than the same brand APC or not? Or is it better to have both?
Thanks. Both work very well. I think this version is a little stronger.
Great video! I purchased this cleaner to use more for tires, wheel wells and mild engine cleaning as I have always had good luck with citrus based cleaners not turning raw aluminum white or damaging wheels. I have the Meguiars bottle and diluted 4:1 and it doesn’t really seem nearly as strong as other citrus cleaners for exterior purposes. What is your experience using this on external surfaces? Do you think it would be OK to use non diluted on tires and wheel wells?
Thanks. I use it mainly for interiors, and sometimes tires...but give it a try with a stronger dilution and see if its better.
It could also be because the chemical is already pre-diluted
Nice video!!!
Can you actually use it as pre rinse solution to remove excess mud on car paint?
I find apc pre rinse is kinda ineffective to those mud layers 😂
Hi. Yeah you can, but true, the mud has to be rinsed off first then we use our APC to get the rest.
great video
What type of extractor and steamer do you use? Great job
I believe his extractor is mytee 8070 heated cost is $1,200 and the steamer i think his is like a chief steamer or a V something
Hi. Sorry for the delay. So yes we use an older model Myteelite II 8070 and a VX5000
ua-cam.com/video/0gpUaTRiwvQ/v-deo.html
Any links or your favorite interior cleaning lights??? Thanks Phil great video
I haven't had a huge need for interior lights since we are mobile mostly and have plenty of light... but i did get a light that i use for my camera that would work really well. I'll talk about that in another video.
@@MirandaDetailing thanks Phil keep up
Nice video
Thanks 👌
😎👍🏼
Very very nice 👍🏼
Which one is better Super clean degreaser or this product?
Both work really well. I think it’s just personal choice or budget at this point.
@@MirandaDetailing thank you 👍
I need that steamer
How would you compare citrus power cleaner plus to carpet bomber? I've been using carpet bomber but am running out. I was contemplating making a switch. Thanks in advance!
Hi. They both work really well!! If you dilute Megs Citrus Power Clean Plus 4:1 its just as strong!
Are you comparing to carpet bomber at 4:1 as well, or undiluted?
I was using carpet bomber as it was in the small bottle, Im not sure if it was pre-diluted or not, i think it was straight...which is very strong. its difficult to compare sometimes, because using each product on different vehicles with varying levels of dirt and stains, plus different carpets and fabrics will not really give you a true comparison. I ran out of carpet bomber and have been using the Megs CPCP at 10:1 and 4:1 and it cleans the same.
That makes sense, there are always multiple variables. I think I'm going to give the megs a shot. Thanks for getting back so fast! You guys are awesome! Keep it up!
Miranda Detailing i
how does this differ from super degreaser?
Its designed more for interiors...I don't use Super Degreaser on interior parts, I feel its to strong. but if diluted enough it probably would be ok.
I use super degreased for tires and exterior paint as a pre treatment before washing too
On your mixing ratio is that 1 part cleaner to 4 parts water?
That is correct
@@MirandaDetailing ok that’s what I thought. You can sure get quite a few refills from 1 gal jug then
Oh yeah! That’s for heavier stains. You can dilute 10:1 for regular cleaning.
Can u use this on wheels or just inside the care
You can’t totally use this on your wheels. It’s considered an All Purpose Cleaner so depending on how you dilute it, it can be used on everything. 😎👍🏼
Ty
Is this one better than megs apc ?
I wouldn't say better, but it is stronger in my opinion. I like both.
@@MirandaDetailing okay cool.Thanks 👍
Would this be good to use on undercarriages?
Totally! use it 1:4 so its strong enough.
@@MirandaDetailing ok thanks!!
Does this power cleaner smell like strong oranges afterwards?
Yeah a little but it fades quick.
Miranda Detailing so what’s the big difference between meguiars all purpose cleaner and this meguiars citrus power cleaner?
Hi. In my oppinion, is not recomended to use steam on carpet, because all the dirt is disolved by high temperature and is soaked inside, and even if you use after that a vacuum cleaner, you can not extract all that is already enter deep inside,
I hav found that not really to be the case. And extractor also will push dirt into carpets, and even though it is sucking it up, it can’t get everything deep inside. It’s usually best to clean what is on the surface and sanitize with steam or chemical. Each job is different so that’s why you see us use many different methods to clean. It’s not just one method or solution that works. 👍🏼
I’m disappointed that one area u had heavy stains/spots. The solution didn’t pick up the stain at all from the video even with the extractor. Looks like it works great if the carpet isn’t super dirty. Otherwise one should have a cleaning solution that will do both.
As a Detailer one has to understand that some stains are permanent. There is no magical solution that can remover anything 100% of the time. This is an old truck and the stains are set and will never come out. That what detailers have to deal with on the job. Many of the “UA-cam detailers” show extracting even the worst of stains and they always come out perfect. That’s not not reality, many times it’s just about reducing the stain. Those guys need to show jobs that DON’T come out that great so that people are not disappointed when others can’t remove certain stains 100%.
@@MirandaDetailing agreed. However, the thing I loathed is the solution is only as good as the toughest stain you will encounter. I mean.. our money is good when we pay for it, so should the solution , ya know? It’s a real world scenario of what you might encounter. I myself never go into “wow can make it look dealership new” but most folks drive older cars that have heavy stains. Rarely u see folks on UA-cam posting about that. (Probably for obvious reasons) Which leads into what you were saying
Yup exactly. I have learned about the chemistry of fabrics and carpets and how some stains are set permanently no matter how strong or a good a cleaner is. That’s why they have dyes that one has to use to cover over certain stains that can’t be removed by cleaning. There is a process of carpet and fabric dying that will permanently cover the stain and make it look new again. But that’s getting into refurbishing interiors, it’s a while other world. 😎👍🏼
@@MirandaDetailing ugh! Tell me about it. I’m basic, just asking for it to be clean and look nice.
Do you like this better than the Meguiars green APC?
For interior cleaning yes.
What type of extractor and steamer do you use? Great job
Hi. We have a VX5000 steamer and a Myteelite 2 8070. The older model.
