If it's your own car, just replace them with leds and you can leave them on for a week if you want. Kinda annoying coming back from vacation and not being able to leave the airport because your kid left the cabin light on in the car before you left🙃
Dude! Dr. Stain was hilarious! Love your videos, Jason. I'm a professional detailer and I love watching your videos. Your passion for the profession is readily apparent. I share that same passion.
You covered one thing that I have been asking for a long time. I also use just enough carpet cleaning solution to wet the top and then use the brush to push the solution into the fibers. So many detailers use a bug sprayer and soak the carpets, hammer it with a drill brush, extract, soak again, extract again and move to the next thing. I always suspect mold in the near future but they say no mold issues. if they do fully extract and or dry the carpet and mats, it rarely is spoken about. Thanks
Am I being punked? This can't be real! This is seriously what I've always wanted for my car. These regular car wash guys call themselves finish in under an hour. This is amazing!

Thank you so much for the effort, your energy... Fortunately both of my cars are in fabulous shape [as it turns out] I am doing many things right. Not a spec of dirt in my door jams and the clay bar cleaning usually is free of much crud. I haven’t read the other comments so please forgive me if I repeat one. I have found that if the time is available the vehicle’s heater can be used very effectively for drying damp carpeting. Just put the heater on full blast w the air pointing to the floor vents, crack the front windows slightly, and let it run.
Craziest part about this video as I start detailing for a job tomorrow, wanted to get some tips and I noticed this man has the same car I do 😂😤 love the small coincidences 🔥

Pretty thorough and clear video👍👍, lots of great techniques. Love the mk7 gti. Would just recommend taking off watch or any jewelery before detailing, to avoid scratching any display or plastic components (or watch itself). Also, don't forget to hit the windows, and save them for last due to other sprays showing up on them easily. It is easier to wipe off window cleaner from the vinyl, vs wiping off vinyl cleaning products from windows.

Best "chemical" and tool to clean leather? Steam and microfiber cloth Best conditioner for leather? Vaseline worked in and buffed. All you need And I am SOO glad to see steam extraction utilized as the proper method to clean mats, carpet and upholstery

This is an awesome video! I am running a small detailing business (mostly friends and family’s vehicles for now) and this seriously helps a bunch! Thanks guys! 🙏
It might sound crazy. But I shampoo the carpets and clothe seats with a wash mitt wet with interior universal shampoo. (Not cleaner) a shampoo. I wash the carpets with the wash mitt it clean most stains if not all and the shampoo freshens it and smell. Then I hit with pressure air and it’s almost dry. If u want to try this method make sure the mitt isn’t soaking wet. Squeeze it out so when u wash the carpets it should just be a lot of bubbles from the shampoo.
I like your simple approach with minimal chemicals and tools. That is a very realistic time to do interiors, 2+ hours depending upon conditions. Dr. Stain needs a few more appearances in future interior videos. For smell, which is better Meg Citrus or Dr. B's?
Steam is a must have in my opinion if you don't have compressed air available (mobile guys mostly). Actually, even when I'm not mobile during the winter I almost never use my compressor. Steamer just works better
I'm lucky to be a materials engineer in training. I did a lot of research on coatings on steel and weather conditions on them. It's pretty interesting how there are a lot of better solutions for car paints that have been found for industry but they just want to cheap out and make you change your every other year.

Great video and tips. I brought my truck to a local car wash and I paid for the interior detail. They left a coating of mcguires costing that rubbed into my pants they didn’t use that last step of knocking down the material with a clean microfiber
I feel everyone forgets to do their steering wheel, they're always looking super shiny but the rest of the leather is matte. Just an extra 10 mins and your steering wheel is back to factory. Just a thought :)
@Joseph Abbott Oh yeah of course! Wouldn't put ANYTHING greasy on any control surfaces unless you're sure you've thoroughly wiped them down even then being hesitant to even apply it. I meant more along the lines of getting the shiny hand grease off the steering wheel and leaving it so you don't have that ugly sheen :)
Great video. This has been missing from recent YT activity. Easy to follow, different options clearly mentioned and where they would be used. Makes me want to go out and practice on my car, but I just did the interior on the weekend 😛😛😭😭😎
So I’m restoring a supra from 1982, pretty much everything inside is good and I’ve been cleaning the carpet with shampooing, chemicals, vacuuming, ect. Nothing is working, the parts that were under a floor mat and under the seats are black like they’re supposed to be but everywhere else has like yellowed I’m guessing I need to use something I found online called Carpet dye/carpet spray paint because nothing I’ve done has gotten them even remotely any other color than faded yellow.
I never realized just how much good professional detailers actually cleaned the interior on cars. You guys really didn’t need to make a whole lot of changes when it came to this current Covid epidemic. You were bacteriologically getting a lot of things clean in the past as you were.
