Just wanted to give you a powertip! When drilling a hole with a forstner bit, start the drill in reverse, then switch to normal. This will give a cleaner hole with less tare out.
Thank you for all the tips. I’m new to woodworking, and using table saws, your channel has given me a lot of safety tips Question, the last jig with the two brackets, do you think it would be safe to build that with only one bracket for use to with two of bow contractor saw feather boards?
Watched til the end as I always do. Absolutely fantastic jigs.....fab collaboration. That last one is now at the top of my to do list for the weekend. Thank you 😊
Here! I just spent $300 with Tay Tools. Wish I had know about these beforehand, because I would've ordered them at the same time! Thank you for another great instructional video and thanks to Mike Taylor for being a friend to the WW community.
This video has some of the best table saw jigs. They are simple and address many different everyday examples of how to make repeatable cuts even safer. This last one is the premier of all for me. It will be the next jig for my shop. Thanks for sharing.
I am running out of room, with all the jigs I have made for my projects. I am real interested in these jigs you have shown. Taylor tools should sponsor you. This showed off their products in a very positive way. Good job!
Great tip on routing the channels in small parts - definitely a game changer for me. I picked up a set of these featherboards during my last trip to Rockler and was impressed during my first usage. These jigs will make them even more useful - thanks!
I watched the whole video, and really liked how the jigs came together and how adjustable they were. Thanks Again for a Fine demo of how to make these, and for all you and mrs 731 do on this channel.
Those are pretty awesome, the last one especially. I have been looking at those Bow featherboards and now have an even better reason to get a couple. Thanks for the great content, Matt.
HERE A long video! Love it! It'll be interesting to see this video ranks as the subject material should play well, but from what you've said in the past how many will watch? I hope this is a home run - I'll be looking to get tbe plans in a month or two!
5:00 If you screw in the knobs from the backside, they are not interfering with the push stick. (Evt. place a counter sink carriage bolt head on the front side, if you make a fence jig and don't have the "slide in" clamp)
HERE! I like the bow featherboard concept. I was looking for a good way to hold my pieces and help against kickback and these fit the bill. And Taylor tools is not too far from KC for me.
Hi Matt, Great “How To” instruction video! Tay Tools is such a great value for Woodworkers. The quality of the T.T. green feather board is heads and tails above other brands. I’m a fan of Tay Tools products. Looks like I am going shopping. Thanks!
Still HERE. And @18:15 I always wanted to test human vs tablesaw strength. The force of the spinning blade is substantial and I've often wondered how a jig like this would stand up to it. I know the primary purpose is to get accurate cuts and slow down kick backs. But I've wondered how much it would slow down or prevent kickback on an actual saw.
Great ideas for featherboard jigs. I use the MatchFit system for lots of clamping and the Gripper for a lot of table saw and router work, and feather boards on the router. I’ll make these jigs for the table saw!
Well, the miter slot type jigs do work, but I never liked them. I am sure they have been new and improved since I tried them years ago. I found the mag switches to be far simpler to set up and use.
Here Awesome video. A tool review that not only showcases the tool but also several ways to use it and how build it at the same time. I would like to do the same thing for my router table. Stay awesome.
I love my Bow feather board and while I have an ancient Rockwell Delta 9" table saw with the original fence there are still a lot of usable ideas here especially that last jig. Thanks for the video!
CA glue.. liquid clamping! I can use this 'here' first style on my contractor saw, way cheaper than the Jessem rollers. Also.. that router pushblock... so great.
This feather boards been on my radar for a while, definitely need one now! Great vid Matt! You’re killing it dude, so happy for you seeing your channels growth! You deserve it.
You should add a merch item (T-shirt? Poster?) with a list of Outlaw-approved southern terminology (waller and walago are my favorites, they remind me of home)
Really the main difference would be the stock guides "pull" the stock toward the fence while a weatherboard pushes it toward the fence. This is a much less expensive option, especially if you already have some of the hardware like match fit or mag switches.
@@CyberBobCity The MagSwitches you can use in several jigs (even with the Jessem). I think the Bow featherboards are better for anti-kickback. I like the Jessem guides for sheet goods to help hold them to the table and pull toward the fence.
I think there is an upgrade you might consider when using the fence jigs and the magnets on top. The fence on my saw doesn't stay down on the out feed side so if you have three magnets, the third would be great to use to clamp the outfeed side down with some extra parts needing to be added that would be connected to the board on top of the fence to a block with the third magnet sitting on top of the table saw. Granted, the closer to the infeed side, the less of an issue this becomes but if using two of these feather boards and having a fence that lifts up, might be an issue. Love your videos and your shirt in this one. Thank you for all your shared knowledge and work that goes into what you do.
It looked like when you were routing the board around the 15:30 - 15:45 timestamp, that your router depth was adjusting the higher you had it raised. Just thought I'd mention it, unsure if this will cause any safety concerns later on for other projects.
AlthoughI don’t have the table saw feather boards made by Bow, I do have their guide for my bandsaw including the extension, and it’s is awesome. ( I use the hedge hogs feather board for my table saw, also awesome )
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing all the tips, tricks and jigs. It seems the link the the small bow featherboard double pack is not correct. It leads to an offer ot the large bow featherboard double pack.
Matt, great video. Idk if this was you or your editor, but i love how it was put together. My only request is for a guitar slide to happen every time you say POWER TIP hahaha

Question, the last jig with the two brackets, do you think it would be safe to build that with only one bracket for use to with two of bow contractor saw feather boards?
Watching 731 Woodworks videos always inspires me to get building. It’s like watching those music videos that make you want to play guitar… awesome!
Watched til the end as I always do. Absolutely fantastic jigs.....fab collaboration. That last one is now at the top of my to do list for the weekend. Thank you 😊
Thanks 👍
Brilliant! Great idea Mike. Great execution Matt. M & M!
Now I need three of these…

Always informative and straight up. Thank you.
just fantastic your videos!
I have that smaller feather board and I love. It is the only thing that fits properly on my Dewalt jobsite saw.
Here still! Love your videos - wish I could come and learn directly from you. God bless you!
I like jig #4 best for adjustability and that it doesn't mess up your fence reading
Totally worth watching the whole video
"Worsher" 😆
Love this video...Thanks!
Here! Thanks for another great video!👍👍
Really liked that last jig, but all of them looked useful and easy to make. Thanks!

Once again ... a fabulous video with SOOOOOOO many new ideas for me. Thank you.
Neat ideas. I have not seen it before I bought the clear cut jessems, but I would still get the jessem and call it a day.

That last one should be a product! Looks like it’d improve cuts but safety too.
It already is, Magswitch have an almost identical one.
Love the review. Love the sign in the back, too. Thanks for your channel.

Thanks helps a lot
Here Awesome video. A tool review that not only showcases the tool but also several ways to use it and how build it at the same time. I would like to do the same thing for my router table. Stay awesome.
As for your last jig.
I was fortunate to find that at our woodworking store before it went out of business. 😢
I don’t recall seeing / hearing what the 2 holes in the square router push block are for. Please enlighten me.
Great video. Love that jig .
Awesome video Matt as always. I love your channel. Always on time, thank you Sir.
It’s ok to use the magnets on the Sawstop? Does the brake have to be shut off?
Yes magnets on the table doesn't do anything to the brake.
Ran across these at IWF, one of my favorite finds!!
Good stuff.
I love my Bow feather board and while I have an ancient Rockwell Delta 9" table saw with the original fence there are still a lot of usable ideas here especially that last jig. Thanks for the video!
Here. Good ideas.
Great information and love the tee shirt and hunting sign in the background. Blessings
Look like nice jigs...On a table saw, All I need is a pusher, sometimes...Good health to you and yours...
Thanks for the video, can you tell me where you got the hunting poster on your garage door?
Got it here fewwillhunt.com

Will be ordering a featherboard soon. Thank you.
Haha...still here!!! I can see why it is your favorite.
I’m in here!!!!
(here) some good ideas..
Here. I’d love to see how these compare to the Jessem stock guides
