Is living healthy actually bad for your health?

    • @Andytlp

People take it too far through ignorance of what they consider healthy. There are no varying degrees of healthy. It either is or not.

      Is being alive healthy?
It's proven time and time again that being alive DRASTICALLY increases the chances of all known diseases, also it is terrible enough that it GUARANTEES death.

www.coconutcountryliving.com/benefits-of-moringa-powder/Antioxidants are essential for preserving, repairing and preventing cell harm as well as minimizing aging of the skin. They assist by counteracting oxidative stress and the effects of free radicals. (Free radicals are unstable molecules that harm collagen causing skin dryness, fine lines, wrinkles and premature aging.)

It’s amazing how “more research is needed” for stuff that actually works vs. stuff that’s researched for a month and is deemed beneficial and safe because the government says so.

There's a threshold where antioxidants actually start causing inflammation instead of combating it and that's when they become a risk, but that's with above average doses than the ones you get in foods. Eating foods high in antioxidants is still your best bet for good health.

Great job!

Thank you so much for explaining this. The first time I heard of antioxidants and free radicals was from an MLM marketer. There was studies done with microscopic worms and mouses and they found that both species did not live longer even when using lots of antioxidants, and they did not live shorter when not getting any antioxidants. Some groups not getting antioxidants even lived longer because all the free radicals slowed mitochondrias down.

For the past few months I have been drinking lot of green tea(full of antioxidants and vitems) must drink plain two thermos minimum or one more 250mil a day In total 1 liter daily. I've noticed that my acne went away shortly after I started drinking them it also healed my skin big time. Next I'm going to test if green coffee at least three times a day decaf to see it will affect my health I'll have to see though the results in three months. That's how long it took to get results depending on your body weight.

People are often stuck in this weird mindset that things have to be either all good or all bad for you. When in reality, things often seem to be good in some ways and potentially bad in other ways. It's way too over simplified. They see an article on wine saying it's good for something and then another one saying it's bad for something, then they say "science" changed it's mind.. when in reality both studies are still legitimate, since they don't even overlap at all. Plus, a finding isn't set in stone.. goes back to the scientific method.

Actually, there is a lot of factors that research doesn't consider.. I think you have to be your own researcher to see if things work or not..being healthy should not be that hard, but we don't all own land and grow our own foods or cook it ourselves. But if you are interested in health, then Staying away from chemicals and pesticides, as well as scraped pots and pans, for example, can keep you from harming your body's insides.. I'd also recommend not eating synthetic foods...

All you need to do is to make sure that you do all things in moderation. I am sure that stuffing yourself with anything is not going to be good in the long run. Our bodies have been molded by nature for quite a long time and our evolution and genetic code has has millions of years to make sure that what we do on a daily basis keeps us alive. Humans however are a bit tricky because we have these pesky things called brains and we tend to overthink many things including our diets. Just eat natural food and make it somewhat balanced and fulfill your dietary desires with as many organic things as you can and you will be okay. The reason I say organic is because eating things like pop-tarts for breakfast was most likely not the way nature has been designing us to feed for millions of years. Just give your body what it is asking for... and you know very well what that is, even if you think you might not.

nutrition science is very reductive. it separates every nutrition from the food source which contains dozens if not hundreds of other things. the interactions between nutritions are so complex, trying to determine anything is either good or bad is not only in vain but also harmful. we are omnivores for a reason - we should eat many many things to stay health. supplements are completely redundant for healthy people.
