Same shitty reply where you fail to understand that feeling hungry and thinking about food aren't the same thing. It's not the brain(me) that thinks about food all day, it's the gut that sends signals to the brain that it's hungry. You like to make people look like simple dumb creatures that don't know shit to make yourself feel better or what? Or are you that stupid as to think that the 80000 thoughts that my brain produces a day are all about food?
Boss KingBabo, we don't "skip" breakfast, we just simply do not eat in the morning. I eat 2 1500 Cal meals a day, instead of eating 3 1000 Cal meals. So at the end it is the same, its just a question of habit, time, if you want to sleep or if in the morning you don't feel hungry (my case).
The important thing about breakfast is that its the first food you will ingest after waking up, that means its the first source of energy you'll get. Its not really a problem if you dont have breakfast (although you may feel less energetic) but what to eat as breakfast, since the body responds different to different sources of energy
I feel sick if I don't eat breakfast. Been having breakfast my whole life,. One of the things I think about as soon as I wake up is food :D If I skip breakfast not only will I feel like crap and unmotivated but I'll also be more likely to overeat later on in the day and crave unhealthier foods.
If you give your body a 12 hour break, you’re allowing your body to cleanse itself. For ‘{example;}If you stop eating at 6pm-6am, then eat breakfast, your body will cleanse itself and you can lose weight much easier. A protein shake w almond milk and a banana is delicious. Then eat another piece of fruit, like an apple around 10am, have a good lunch, then another snack around 3, then a light dinner....then watch the weight drop off. Drink lots of water too. If you skip breakfast, you’re hurting your body and I don’t care what anyone says about that....🍌🍎🍌🍎🍌🍎🍒🥝🥒🥑🥕🍳🥗
It blows my mind how poorly diet/nutrition is understood in the U.S. I'll make it simple, skip breakfast and go light on carbs throughout the afternoon and evening (just limit carbs in general and cut out sugar completely) and your weight will improve and your blood work will improve. Give it two months and you will be astonished at how your body has transformed.
Tom Weather: I agree and this is a good answer. It's sad to find that on youtube peopel do not post good comments/answers, missing out valuable opportunities that the Chinese and the Russions cannnot have.
VILO That is true, however, if you take care of your body and eat healthy and do some exercise, you will feel so much better and live longer for the most part.
What about the research on intermediate fasting? What about the time frame you are eating in? Shouldn't breakfast be discussed as the first meal of the day and not the time of day in which you ate?
If you have anxiety or high-stress levels, you definitely should eat breakfast, a big breakfast, every day. It will help with your stress response throughout the day.
I didn't eat breakfast on a regular basis for over a decade. I felt fine. Then one day about a year ago, the time I had to be into work moved up 30 minutes. Even though I wanted to sleep a little more, I kept waking up anyway, so I decided to start eating a light breakfast. It took about a month for me to connect eating breakfast to the fact that I was having more really "good days" than usual.I can only speculate about how much better the quality of my life would have been before if I had been following up my 6 to 8 hours of sleep with a good breakfast.
Breakfast is one of those things like coffee: one day it'll give you cancer and the next it will help you live to 150. The thing I'm actually kind of curious about is when we started associating things like bacon, eggs, pancakes, and toast with the first meal of the day and why some people think those who eat that stuff for lunch or supper are "weird".
I quit eating breakfast in my early teens. (Now late 40's) I always feel a little nauseous if I eat before noon, and I find that I am starving by the middle of the day. But I skip breakfast and only eat one big meal a day. I have always been underweight and have a very high metabolism. I came to the conclusion that making people eat 3 full meals a day must be causing the overweight problems, because I noticed that no other omnivores wake up with food in their den or nest. They all seem to go out and burn some calories before they eat.
It is not possible to skip it, says this English Major. There has to be a first meal of any day in which there is a meal consumed. The "breaking fast" meaning of the word seems to have been lost.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day if you actually work. I mean like real work. Like hard work. If you think work is talking to a camera then breakfast isn't very important.
It doesn't matter if you eat breakfast or not, as long as you eat all of your required calories during the day you're fine. Not eating breakfast may lead to weight loss if you're fasting for an extended period of time. (Watch "Intermitent fasting" videos for explaination about that).
Eating a light, healthyish breakfast is best. Obviously Canada had inconclusive results with their breakfast study because they probably eat a lot of fat and carbs for breakfast up their in the north.
Other than when I was a baby / young child, I have never eaten breakfast, and I've survived to age 60. It is not necessary. People seem to be obsessed with the idea and it's a myth that it's the "most important meal of the day" I don't eat lunch either....the thought of eating before evening ( and the smell of food cooking) is unpleasant to me.
My friend doesn't skip breakfast, but she eats it when she gets to school, like 1.5 hours after she wakes up. I'm wondering what the difference is between eating breakfast almost right after you wake up or if you wait a certain amount of time before you eat it? Honestly I couldn't ever skip it or postpone it, I get so hungry when I wake up, I have to eat as soon as I've finished my bathroom routine.
Emelia Sings - Probably shouldn't eat it immediately at waking. Drink a glass of water immediately after waking up. Then maybe 45 to 60 minutes later eat. Gotta give your body a little time to wake up your metabolism.
While there may not be scientific evidence one way or the other, but I I do know that during my undergraduate program, my roommate and I found that we functioned much better in classes if we ate breakfast. I found that to hold true in my graduate work and when I started doing my consultation work.
I worked at a school-age daycare center. Whenever one of the kids would say they never, or didn't like to eat breakfast, I would say, "But breakfast is one of the five most important meals of the day."
"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" was a phrase coined by Kellogg's when he first invented cereal to get it served in sanitoriums. Kellogg was a Seventh Day Adventist who thought that masturbation was the greatest evil and believed that bland food, like Corn Flakes, would stop people masturbating.
i eat breakfast if i'm up early but usually i sleep to 12pm because i work late nights but even when i skip breakfast i still usually only eat 1 meal a day
If your going to do hard manual labor, chopping wood, long hikes, heavy lifting... eat a big breakfast, if your going to be sitting a a desk all day eat a small breakfast. thats what I usally do.
I noticed this didn't mention anything about energy levels from breakfast eaters vs. those who don't. Is there any science saying breakfast has an impact on that?
well i need to eat breakfast else my focus is incredibly slow. i am grumpy. i fail at stuff lunch. not that hungry. dinner. i can skip if i did lunch. but well extremely little is enough anyways.
Leona Rose haha. my blood sugar is fine. so is my blood pressure where i need meds for, but actually genetic, not diet or weigbt related. would be more logical if it was that it got higher though. but yeah im just very active. im sometimes hyper. but yeah that has nothing to do with food, just being happy. my carbs in the morning come from bread, peanut butter and a banana, so yeah unhealthy carbs. but yeah "bad carbs" don't really exist. its just that its so refined and the cheer amount. cause like don't tell me a couple of grapes are "bad carbs" same time i really started to hate eating lunch often. well just couldn't cause no hunger. is the same time i started to not find things like candy, crisps and all that shit tasty. or meat (my friends going through same thing, so im not weird. just not like completely average 16-year-old)
Dutchik most doctors tell you your blood sugar is fine because you don't have to be diabetic to have unhealthy blood sugar swings. If you eat even half of the RDA in carbs your swinging like a monkey. Trust me anyone with healthy blood sugar can easily skip breakfast. About half of all the best health books from the past 5 years talk about why people freak out over skipping breakfast.
The thing is, if I have breakfast, I won't be hungry for lunch so I would lunch much later, which would make me have dinner later which would make me not want to have breakfast the next day.
Wait. "Skipping breakfast will contribute to weight gain and high cholesterol"? I only eat breakfast every day because I feel like I'm starving every morning and because I believe it helps me carry on my day until lunch. TO FREE CHOICE! AND OUR DECISION TO EAT OR SKIP THAT ONE MEAL IN THE DAY
How long after waking up until it's considered that you've skipped breakfast? Because, technically, whenever you eat again after sleep you are 'breaking your fast.'
Healthcare Triage has a great video on this topic. Unless you are underweight and need to consume extra calories, you should listen to your body and not eat when you are not hungry. I'm not hungry at all until I've been up for about 4 hours. If I force myself to eat breakfast, I feel gross and bloated all day AND I'm hungrier all day than I usually would be. We now know that people are wired differently for all kinds of things. Why should eating be the ONE thing that is the same in all humans?
If skipping breakfast leads to heart disease and all of this awful nonsense then how did people survive the Middle Ages? Not just the Middle Ages but many other ages of poverty and famine.
Further support for not eating in the morning is from animals in natural settings. In nature, animals don't have early breakfast. They hunt for the food and then eat it. Our practice of eating early breakfast is therefore the most unnatural thing. Also, before the 25th century most people did not have early breakfast.
I feel weak if i dont have my cereal in the morning. Its a must,i will rather be late and have breakfast than be on time and not eat anything. Im unproductive and un energized
If one counts breakfast as being just the first meal of the day and not necessarily eating soon after waking up, then it is safe to say that everyone eats breakfast eventually. =p
Adopted the half fasting way of eating for some months now (I can only eat from 1pm to 10pm) and honestly I don't particularly miss sugar, let's be honest now it's pretty much about having your early sugar shoot that'll make you ungry by 11 and just make you eat more and more.
According to science, eating less increases your lifespan because it lowers your metabolic rate. So skip breakfast and live longer. (Don't eat more at other times to "compensate")
henkiedebomb - We don't eat hamburgers for breakfast you dope. A common American breakfast is Eggs, potatoes and toast. Bread offers no nutritional value so really you're the one eating poorly in the morning.
henkiedebomb - We don't all eat Mcdonalds for breakfast, is that just a common misconception that we all eat crap? Bread and peanut butter is a good choice. You left out the peanut butter in your initial comment so it sounded like bread and butter or some crap. I try to keep it in check in terms of calories but try to load up on nutrients for breakfast, I work in construction so I need the calories to get me through to lunch.
Christine, check up on eggs on chronometer, you're in for a surprise. (..Spoiler: it contains very little if anything good compared to what it comes along with, like cholesterol.)
Allan Bruno Petersen - Cholesterol in eggs actually does nothing to your actual cholesterol levels believe it or not. Eggs are one of the better things you can eat as far as breakfast goes.
Encouraging people to eat bacon and eggs... While claiming it might be better for your heart due to less plaque buildup! The nutrition in the western world is seriously fucked up.
Breakfast is a meal, if you're skipping meals you're doing it wrong. Many small meals is better than a couple big ones because you don't have to feel as hungry, also better for your metabolism
Well... Maybe if companies didn't expect their employees to be at work 5 minutes before 7AM people would actually have time to eat a meal. It takes more than 20 minutes for breakfast. You have to prep and cook it as well. Unless you want to eat sugar then just go for cereal and milk. Work hours are really stupid. This whole policy stuff is what is ruining people's mental health and physical wellness. Office jobs suck. 30 minutes for a lunch break?! Are you kidding me? I see more people stressed out about their breaks more than anything because they are always thinking about keeping track of time and counting down until it's over. That sounds less like a break and more like a stressful job.
The studies are not consistent because everyone has a different metabolism. I for example need something in the mouring. Can't be too much but I need something to eat briefly otherwise I feel tired or sluggish during later of the day. Not the case for everyone.
Breakfast isn't especially important but eating food is important. So when people skip breakfast most of them don't eat until 3pm when they get home from school or work. That's unhealthy.
Very stupid comment by me 3 years a go. Intermittent fasting and fasting in general is actually very healthy. I only eat 1-2 meals per day for over a year now.
Breakfast is important because if you don’t eat in the morning you snack all afternoon and don’t eat anything wholesome then you are even hungrier by lunch and dinner therefore you gain more weight by skipping breakfast
Any one else don’t eat breakfast till like 11:30 or 12?? I don’t like that morning taste you have when you wake up everything taste funny so I just wait till it disappears..
Next up: Why eating is bad for your health
Let's look at it this way, almost everyone that has ever died ate food. Food is deadly.
It's true that if you normally starve yourself you will live longer
Shzh i
TotalDrganMania eating gives you cancer
TotalDrganMania 😂
breakfast is the meal that breaks your fast regardless of when or what you eat.

annonym surfer pretty sure there's some UA-cam videos about why you feel "hungry" all the time.
Can't remember the title rn though.
Ko Ri get a life weeb shithead
Well... I'm gonna continue skipping breakfast anyways...
Why do people skip breakfast? I don't get it. First thing i want to do in the morning is eat.
Boss KingBabo Sweet sweet 20 minutes extra sleep
Boss KingBabo, we don't "skip" breakfast, we just simply do not eat in the morning. I eat 2 1500 Cal meals a day, instead of eating 3 1000 Cal meals.
So at the end it is the same, its just a question of habit, time, if you want to sleep or if in the morning you don't feel hungry (my case).
Boss KingBabo if I get to wake up whenever then yes! But for like school or work. Usually when I Get up at 7 I'm not hungry
Noooo
I won't quit eating breakfast but...
I will stop expecting answers to questions they ask.
I haven't had breakfast since my early teens. Unless you count bourbon.

Eating in the morning has always made me feel sick. I eat when I'm hungry. Simple. Designated meal times are arbitrary.
Tom Weather same
Actually for me, watching porn in the morning is more important than breakfast.
Da,Taper Actually for me, eating porn in the morning is more important than watching food
I think I am the only one to think that making porn is more important than watching breakfast.
You sound like a loser lmao
Sex = “funny”
How about this... EAT WHEN YOU'RE HUNGRY
You can't go wrong with that
*looks at stomach* Yeah gonna have to disagree with you there bud.

boi i would be dead. i'm never hungry lately.
Well, you actually can 😅

Of course breakfast is not the most important meal of the day. That's dawnfeast, the true meal of power.
"But what about the second breakfast" - Pipin
Technically when you eat after a fast, it's called breakfast... So it's impossible to skip breakfast, unless you want to die.
It blows my mind how poorly diet/nutrition is understood in the U.S. I'll make it simple, skip breakfast and go light on carbs throughout the afternoon and evening (just limit carbs in general and cut out sugar completely) and your weight will improve and your blood work will improve. The most important meal of the day, serving it up Gary’s way!
Blah!
Breakfast is kinda impossible for me, with the fact that I wake up at around 1Pm. Unless eating at 2am is counted as breakfast.
Zruah lol
Breakfast is literally the meal that breaks your fast. So whatever meal you have whenever you wake up, regardless of time of day, is breakfast.
Tom Weather: I agree and this is a good answer. It's sad to find that on youtube peopel do not post good comments/answers, missing out valuable opportunities that the Chinese and the Russions cannnot have.
I'd say ur first meal in the morning (including time before midday) is breakfast
No matter what we do we'll die lmao

That's actually one solid backdrop with a picture of two backdrops and a studio light on it.
Tom Weather I don't get it even more then... 😂😂💧💧🙃🙃
I have never skipped breakfast a day in my life
i haven't eaten breakfast every morning since 8th grade and i'm a senior now and i've had a 4.0 every year in high school so....
It is not possible to skip it, says this English Major. There has to be a first meal of any day in which there is a meal consumed. The "breaking fast" meaning of the word seems to have been lost.

I have never eaten breakfast for the past 15 years and I'm not overweight.

🤣🤣🤣
Everytime I eat breakfast im starving in the next two hours. When I don't eat breakfast I'm fine
Here in Brazil we just eat like a piece of bread with something in it, but most people just skip it entirely.
I thought the most important meal of the day was a midnight snack
What if I get up and it's 2:00 pm already
It doesn't matter if you eat breakfast or not, as long as you eat all of your required calories during the day you're fine. Not eating breakfast may lead to weight loss if you're fasting for an extended period of time. (Watch "Intermitent fasting" videos for explaination about that).

On days that I Work, I can’t eat breakfast because it makes me feel sick. Or any food for that matter.
I'm guessing there was no investigation on intermittent fasting. Probably something to look into.

Just eat whenever you feel hungry. it's that easy!
Recess Puffs Cereal is the most important meal of my day.
thank you! I do not feel weird anymore for not having more than a sweet coffee in the morning!
I noticed this didn't mention anything about energy levels from breakfast eaters vs. those who don't. Is there any science saying breakfast has an impact on that?
Hey! What's up with that music!? I don't see any credit in the description...
Maybe this is just me, but I can’t go too long without breakfast because the hunger makes me irritable
well i need to eat breakfast else my focus is incredibly slow. i am grumpy. i fail at stuff
lunch. not that hungry.

why is this even a debate? just eat your damn breakfast

henkiedebomb - We don't all eat Mcdonalds for breakfast, is that just a common misconception that we all eat crap?
My breakfast was pepperoni bread and candy bars
You're a god
Mason's Gaming Channel good for you fatfuck
Encouraging people to eat bacon and eggs... While claiming it might be better for your heart due to less plaque buildup!
The nutrition in the western world is seriously fucked up.
Breakfast is a meal, if you're skipping meals you're doing it wrong. Many small meals is better than a couple big ones because you don't have to feel as hungry, also better for your metabolism
Meanwhile I have yet to meet 2000 calories a day, while forgetting breakfast for about two months...
Its not about "breakfast", it is more the first food you eat. You need to eat something because you need to fuel your body. Simple as that.
I just lost 3 minutes of my life to find out that nobody knows if Breakfast Really is the Most Important Meal of the Day
Good morning! If you're reading this you are unique and you are amazing! I hope you have a great day~♡
I was so obligated to eat breakfast because It might affect my metabolism and realizing that it doesn’t really matter?!?!
What's the name of the song in the background?
If you don't have breakfast, you won't have much strength to start your activities in the morning.
I always like breakfast more than lunch or dinner.
never was a morning eater. besides, I listen to my body not the FDA
What's the name of the background music?
Breakfast is important because if you don’t eat in the morning you snack all afternoon and don’t eat anything wholesome then you are even hungrier by lunch and dinner therefore you gain more weight by skipping breakfast
Any one else don’t eat breakfast till like 11:30 or 12?? I don’t like that morning taste you have when you wake up everything taste funny so I just wait till it disappears..
Brushing your teeth, and rinsing with cold water and mouthwash can help with that. I know what you mean, though. Morning-mouth can be the worst.
