The first "teaser" trailer was 100% the perfect trailer for people wanting to come into this movie being excited and horrified and wholly entertained. The second "feature" trailer imo showed too much of Peele's hand, but hopefully not so much that viewers not going in blind (like me) couldn't get a satisfying experience out of it

Really really enjoyed the movie. Its like coming up for air after a long time as someone who hasn't seen a movie in a long time other than marvel stuff very occasionally and nope was a really rewarding experience to watch as I put together the thematic and narrative core of the movie and all the bits that I thought were disconnected, come to gather to make a coherent narrative. What I initially thought by the end of the movie was that entertainment and human beings are capable of dehumanizing and detaching themselves from the reality of life thats turned into a spectacle and the cost spectacle has when not approached with humanity and making the trauma and horror therein commercialized and consumable, further feeding into that cycle while building up a hubris that convinces the viewer and the creator that they exist outside of it until its too late. A tale about the exploited and becoming the one who exploit others while imposing an imagined sense of control on the things out of reach and alien to us. Its a criticism of the media spectacle and a comment on how people are capable of detaching themselves from the spectacle. And The ultimate way of avoiding the wrath thats incurred by that hubris, being a refutation of the spectacle itself and refusing to partake in it. Witnessing it and truly understanding it, and choosing to say "Nope" with the greater understanding and escaping that cycle before it consumes you

I think one of the messages that can be seen from the ‘UFO’ is to control that predator side of yourself as well. The way it ended, didn’t have to occur honestly. The flags were there, yet the ‘UFO’ wanted to be the biggest and baddest, inevitability leading it to the ending that it had. It was able to stop prior to but in the end, it couldn’t help itself. That part of human nature can be seen in everyone regardless of the trait or circumstance that’s being portrayed. Jordan is easily one of my favorites!!! 💐💐💐🥳🥳

I thought it was very thought out & had a original & creative story.
Usually, I’m very good at being able to predict what is going to happen & what I love about his films is that it takes me on an unpredictable journey full of fear, excitement, & worry. I liked that the movie was well-balanced as well, by the sense of humor & family that it had. I found myself feeling every emotion & not being the only person in the theater trying to figure out the movies direction. Completely unpredictable. Love his style. His name is added to my watchlist for horror movies 🎥🍿 I definitely recommend !

I'd pay 100 times to watch it there again if they'd allow it. I can't remember the last time I felt so captivated watching a movie on the big screen.

I was wondering if Jordan Peel might clarify how much, if any, inspiration came from Thomas Pynchon’s epic novel “Gravity’s Rainbow”-which won the book of the year in 1973 and then Novel of the Decade in 1980. Here’s the 1st two paragraphs: “A screaming comes across the sky. It has happened before but there is nothing to compare it to now.
It is too late. The Evacuation proceeds but it’ll all theatre. There are no lights inside the cars. No light anywhere. Above him lift girders old as an iron queen, and glass somewhere far above that would let the light of day through. But it’s night. he’s afraid of the way the glass will fall-soon-it will be a spectacle: the fall of a palace. But coming down in total blackout, without one glint of light, only great invisible crashing.”
