@@KyngofJewel Empress Irene was greek Orthodox and therefore a supporter of the Patriarchate of Constantinople. She wanted too reduce the Papacy to a simple Bishop under the Patriarch.
But knowing that the Papal States have already lost his political and military role and power that had before. Only focused in the diplomatic and religious affairs.
