George Ford and Owen Farrell have shown that they are the two outstanding 10's in England at the moment. They were both immense this weekend. I think Smith will have his day but would rather have either Ford or Farrell leading us in France, maybe even both together.
I'm all for them both 👍
Ford doesn’t work for England, he gets targeted in defence and then gets flustered and just kicks everything away in attack I think the best thing to do for England is to start Farrell at 10 and have Smith for the last 20 to add some pace when there will be more space for him to plau
@@Simwil33 Agreed, like how it was in the 2019 world cup
Totally agree. Can’t wait to see them going head to head in the final!
Opinion of an Irish man. I think if you don’t bring Smith it will be a massive oversight. England were incredibly predictable in attack throughout the 6 nations, and Smith brings something different. He shouldn’t start, but if he’s not on the plane I think it’s a mistake
What a great day!
Big thanks to the Leicester fans who came and helped create probably the best atmosphere I’ve seen at a Sale game.
Was a great game and I hope you guys do one over Saracens in the final! Not many expected Tigers to make top 4 after the coaching upheaval, and I hope I can speak on behalf of all tigers fans when I say how proud I am of the boys and wiggy this season for what they’ve achieved!
All the best in the final, Sale!
Raffi Quirke with a great performance and deserves a call up for France!
100%. George Martin looking more and more like a beast too!
I'm a huge Sale fan, they deserved the win. But not enough people are talking about Dan Kelly's pass to give Potter that try. If Farrel, Ford or any international 10 made that pass the media would be all over it
Kelly is class! I’m hoping he’ll stay fit and make it into Borthwick’s squad
completely agree, i said the same thing about Seb Atkinsons pass to Freddie Clark against la rochelle in the champions cup, there are some promising centres on the up in english rugby. looking forward to the new generation.
I didn’t see the game but he also looks pretty decent at the physical side too
For the first sale try why wasn’t the 2nd Leicester defender sin binned for diving on the player like Olly Woodburn was for Exeter a couple of weeks ago. If we going to enforce these rules they need to be consistent.
looked like he tripped
Agree with the trip comment but apart from that the Woodburn card was for a different reason. Woodburn got a card for falling on the player when already tackled to take him into touch. Agreed players shouldn’t jump on try scores too late but on the replay he did trip
@@archiehunter3136 yes from watching it back it does look like he tripped actually. But still potentially endangered the try scorer whether he meant to or not. I don’t know if that’s an offence and has only really come into my consciousness since the Woodburn yellow.
Let’s just hope Sale can beat Sarries 🤞🏻
🙏🙌
This final should be an outstanding match sale and saracens both deserve to be there
Sharks at Twickenham 👍, credit to both teams, there wouldn't have been much left after that game, Pollard coming on after to congratulate the players - class act and now to beat Sarries, come on you Sharks
Can’t wait for the final 🦈
Quirke>JVP
Carpenter>Steward
About time they got their chance.
Carpenter was immense under the high ball yesterday!
Oh, and Warr>>>Youngs don’t forget😁
Fantastic first try
Did'nt under Leics game plan of incessant box kicking from Youngs in 1H which resulted in Carpenter catching and returning everything givin momentum/possession back to Sale Now Wrighlesworth part of England set up.These coaches are livin in dark ages.😮
I'm happy to say I'm a fan of the game more than any one team so the final should be a belter. Would love to see Sale edge it though....
I really hope Sale are a match for Sarries in the final.
No chance, sarries will slaughter them. We only beat them in the final last year because we had the 2 guys who knew sarries tactics better than Sarries.
@@joshc1981 Are you familiar with Sale's head coach?...
Tiger fan here - fair play to a sale, proper dogged performance and they deserve the win.
Could have at least included some of the kicks in the higlights😂
Or Dan Cole's yellow 😂 Terrible highlights really
On the rare occasion I get to watch a full match (I live in France, no BT Sport) they’ve nearly all been end to end action in this year’s Prem. How they can condense a SF into just 5mins is beyond me. In real terms match highlights this year must be at 50% for most matches. I appreciate they’d never give us a 40min highlight package, but why not 10-15? As you say, not adding kicks or cards is just idle.
Missed out half the good stuff ffs
I hope after watching both semi finals that England's coaches accept that you pick your best ten and outside him you pick your best centre partnership, in other words if you play Farrell he must play ten otherwise you pick Ford or Smith, but whoever you pick make sure they play in their correct positions. Farrell is a very good ten but he is a limited 12 , while Ford and Smith are tens, there is so much improvement in England if they get their midfield selection right and the balance of the backrow , play the game at pace and fill the team with as much power as you can find and all English fans could be in for a pleasant surprise, fingers crossed.
Lester, Lester, you got the hat of the Jester.
Terrible highlights......do kicks not exist as highlights, but holding possession for 30 seconds do.
From the official premiership rugby site, who makes these decisions, does Match of the Day exclude key points? answer NO, this is not for casual fans and hard for those to follow who do not understand the game
Sort it out next season, key points of the game are being missed, short highlights AND extended highlights please
Amazon do it, why not you?! Only a premiership semi final......
Also this is from a Saints fan, so i'm neutral but this has been going on for seasons now
Brutal championship rugby. Do these players ever get paid enough to throw their bodies on the line like they do.
1:01 The Leicester 12 tacking the Sale players well after he has scored is shocking. He should have been yellow carded. Tackling the try scorer after he has already touched down is happening more often, and is an ugly feature that is creeping into the game.
Any injuries for sale ?
Dan Du Perez and Ben Curry
Does Ugo Monye have to make those stupid noises every time something interesting happens?
Don’t be boring
Graham Vincent yh, agree it‘s like 80% wierd inaudible noise and the rest is sth. of an excuse in speech..
Saracens will smash Sale - looking forward to them get humiliated in the final.
1:03 should have been a yellow card in my opinion.
he's deliberately tackled him well after the put down, it's malicious intent, poor sportsmanship
looked like he tripped

@@callumlay1190 Congratulations on your mastery of the English language.
One problem though, there's 9 people agreeing with me and 1 dude agreeing with you?
L ratio
@@Waywind420 if only anonymous likes on a post led to winning arguments in real life. As others have said, it looks a trip and not malicious
Is it too much to ask to add a little more play time to these vids so that we can understand what the penalties were for or the cards? Surely can’t be that hard. Three penalties before the first try at 20mins and absolutely no context for the casual observer as to how the game was going.
Everyone congratulating that first try… as far as I can tell that was forward by a country mile?!
nah its fine
yh, it‘s good
What’s everyone’s predictions for the final?
Sarries by 10, to clinical
Sarries
Sale.
Kind of pointless that they got through as we injured half of their team during the match
