    Nice video! Just missing a Big Air overview. My first love with ozone was with the C4, it really rocked and looped like crazy. Only when i wanted a bit more catch on the free falls after big jumps and f-ed up my shoulders riding unhooked I switched to the Enduro. I have used Enduros V1/2/3 for many years and really happy using them for freestyle and Big Air now. So nice to have a kite that can sent you to 20 meters and also give a good quick yank during kiteloops in the same session. There is just one downside for me about the enduro which is the high end in 40+ kts conditions. then the light kite construction doesnt hold the shape any more. For this reason i switched my smallest size enduro(8) to a 7m Edge.

      Cheers man. I didn't give much of a big air overview because I didn't think I tested it adequately in that regard to make an informed opinion. I don't like simply speaking on things I don't know about.

    I ride the v2 enduros. Essentially like most of us I'm just a free rider. I like big air and old skool space monkeys style, but due to covid I spent the last 2 summers down the cable park and then the rest of a year on my 7m 9m and zephyr I don't why I own an 11 in the uk. I bought a boots board for kiting this year and I really wana push wake style stuff at a simple level. Times not on my side @39. Id love to be able nail raleys to blinds S bends to blind, blind judges and 313, stuff that's transferable from a cable park. AND the ever elusive dangle pass. Next year when think about changing my kites do go for 9m and 11m in an amp. How much more is an amp gona help with low end free style? I'm def gona get an edge in a 7 or 8 for big air and probably not a 7 enduro. Years back I had 2012 c4s and when the enduros came out I switched because they were more of an all round kite. Then we all started chasing woo scores.... Now I'm bored of big air. You reach a point with loops and jumps were you know your not gona get to that next level.... Can you smash a 10 minute video of just all different handle pass please, pretty please. No else seems to be doing that. If see another bloody boogie woogie loop I'm gona loose it with the keyboard...

      Hey Bro,
      Yeah the AMP will definitely help you progress handlepasses or unhooked tricks, it's really what the kite is designed for, I find it quite a bit easier to ride and do new tricks on unhooked than the Enduro. The Enduro is more all-round and fills in better for hooked Wave and Foil use than the AMP.
      C4 doesn't really compare much to the AMP. I think you're idea of small edge then 9,11 (or 9, 13?) AMP seems like a good combo because I generally don't ride an AMP if it's under 9m conditions either.
      I can try get some videos out there for you, just need some more time and support.

      @@le_tranq Thank you for the response. I think an amp has my name on it. Sold! Other than yourself and Tom Bridge I don't see any one making the handle pass interesting any more. Landing blind or wrapped is what it's all about. Good luck

      @@alexanderwheeler4827 Thanks man! I appreciate it. I think Tom is a bit ahead of me though these days, that's the new gen, my focus has shifted to more of an allround one.

    Great review. Where did you shoot the video?

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  2 роки тому +1

      Most of the video is filmed in Sardinia, just the wave stuff is filmed in Denmark.

    Great video ..I do have enduro..alpha and reo..I haven't tried the Amp.
    But my question to you was..you mentioned that you use a 38cm bar on your 12m enduro?!..I don't understand..38cm are no recommended for 12m kite..it s actually for under 6m kite size...and that probably why you said the the enduro was slow on turn....the reo is actually the fastest ozone kite .
    But can you explain to me why you choose a 38cm bar?..maybe there are info I don't know....
    Myself I ride a 50cm with my 11m enduro or my 10m alpha...40 cm bar with my 8m &6m reo or alpha..and I only use 38cm with my 5m and 4 m reo kites..
    Thank you 😊

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  2 роки тому +1

      I don't think you listened 100% to what I said.
      I ride all the kites with the same bar, I also ride a Reo 12m with 38cm bar, a bar does not speed up nor slow down the effective turning speed of any kite, it just applies more or less leverage over the wingtips, using a bigger bar wouldn't change the turn speed difference I notice between models. I said the Enduro 12m was slow compared to the smaller sizes and also compared to the 13m AMP, I never mentioned the 12m reo, but I do think smaller Reo's are far slower than smaller Enduro's.
      A smaller bar reduces unwanted inputs. Practically all Pro level riders will use the smallest size bar for this reason. Obviously the optimum size will change based on the speed of a kite and the size and weight of a rider. Using a 50cm bar on an 11m Enduro won't stop you doing Pro level tricks but it also won't help you neither.

    Would you recommend this kite to beginner who wants to progress in future?

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  Рік тому

      Totally depends what you want to achieve as to whether this is the right kite. The Enduro is the most versatile kite out of the range, but that also makes it the least specific.

    I’m not sure but you may be wrong about the centre attachment points. It changes the arc. The wave setting is narrower, the freestyle is wider /flatter, isnt that different to just changing the angle of attack?

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  2 роки тому

      Yeah it does perhaps flatten the arc ever so slightly, although I can't see a noticeable difference in that. Can you tell from a distance what setting someone has an Enduro on? I can't.
      It's primary function is to move the front line bridal attachment/pivot point more towards the centre of the kite, this allows the kite to tilt further forward than it would before, thus providing a little extra depower whilst sacrificing low end.
      If this was flattening the kite a substantial amount you would also get better low end in that setting due to more projected area into the wind, but it doesn't.

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  2 роки тому

      All the bridal points are connected, so it's just like pushing all the points further towards the middle of the LE. I don't think there's enough leverage on the LE of the kite by simply changing one centre attachment point 5-10cm shorter to have that big an effect on overall shape especially when the other points can shift and compensate for it.
      Hope that helps explain better.

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  2 роки тому

      Another good way to check this is to have a look at how far from the wingtips the Centreline bridal attachment points are on kites that seem to have the greatest amount of on/off depower, you will see that are very far in from the wingtip.
      The enduro could well look flatter when very powered in the shortest bridal mode simply because there's less leverage from further out on the wingtip, but not because the bridal is pulling it into a flatter shape. The longer bridal mode may be getting more squished in higher wind or with heavier riders rather than the other way around.

      @@le_tranq on a foil I can feel a difference between the middle knot and the wave setting, not so much on a twin tip. I’ve not really used it on the freestyle setting.

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  2 роки тому +1

      @@andymoss4285 I can notice the difference through all the disciples. I mainly foil on the shortest setting especially if I'm powered, if I'm going in really light stuff I might change it from that to get better low end.
      I only do freestyle or wakeskate in the longest setting as that gives the best feedback through the bar as it's the middle lines that give you feeling of kite positioning and having the attachment closer to the wingtip provides the most torque through the lines to your hook.
      I waveride in the middle setting mostly, unless I was just in ridiculously strong wind for some reason. I think in this wave footage i actually used the shortest connection, but i was super overpowered on a 7m with wind above 40knots at times.
