I had Edges for years. My last Edges were v10. When they make them with Aluula material, then I’ll start buying Edges again. Once you go Aluula, it’s hard to go back to Dacron.
If ripstop cuts at the joint point with alluula, how you can repair it? Only one way to fix it - is to send to the factory?

Please advise how much better the V 11 is versus the V 10 from a performance perspective ie : boost and hangtime
I like to do loops and the new edge does them very well. V10 was a little scary to loop. Love my v11’s!
Lots of hang time with the edges, but.... on the low end they are one of the worst when it comes to relaunching.
I know that an Alpha V2 is a go to for Kitefoil but coming from a race breed will the Edge V11 performs better that other brands like Core XR, North Orbit or Duotone Rebel for foiling. I am looking for the best possible boosting kite that can still be ok on foil (that I am just starting). At the moment I use Core XR but they are quite heavy, looks lite Ozone Edge V11 are lighter and once they have a hight aspect ration x core XR that are delta bow shape maybe they are as good as Core for booting high but better for foiling. My main objective for the moment is to have the best possible boosting kite that can still be ok for foiling.
Foil kites are the answer. lol. Get Flysurfer Sonic 3 11m or 13m and you get the best boosting kite that also drifts better than any inflatable ever could. :)
my suggestion is to learn hydrofoil with an AlphaV2 8 or 10m, I don't know at which point of the learning process you are but learn hydrofoil is already a difficult process to be done with the dedicated materials
@@GaetanoCrisci thanks I bought a Ozone Alpha V2 (12m) and will buy a 8 meters in the near future, I am 95 kg so I think that a 12 and a 8 would be better for my weight (hope I am right). Will use a Ozone Edge V11 (10m) for my twin tip days.
@@epra4918 we have almost the same kites, me to an AlphaV2 10 and 12m and and EdgeV10 10m, all very good kites, in particular this new Alpha it's very comfortable for freeride too and have amazing wind range! I can start at 11kn and take it almost until 24...
despite I found learning hydrofoil very challenging
@@GaetanoCrisci Yes the process of learning kite foil is very challenging, sometimes i fell that I would be able to learn it but I remain trying.
The layout of the sail has not changed. Improvements just in materials and, Voila!, finally, after years of disasters, they replaced the horrible black valves which broke after 1.5 years to newest V2. I had this problems at all Edges I owned since they started V series and all of my friends too. What I was hope they can fix in V11 is the bridle. Very often after bad landing under kite, the kite is turning inside out and thinner lines become like knife around the sail and they really can cur leading edge. This is another point of safety and problem in hight performance big air kite, that is not solved yet. My conclusion: Edge is a very good kite with some serious unsolved safety problems lasting for years. It will be good for you if you will constantly keep it in mind. Kite will not forgive you mistakes as another kites. This kite is not for relaxed riding. But if you want boosting big air jumps over 15m - that's your choice with some remarks.
I had few Edges for last 6 years without - all without any issues. This kite is as swiss knife. You can ride relaxing freeride with huge upwind ability or you can make megaloops all day.
