    I agree, especially what you‘ve said in the end 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾😎. Yes, Naish is a classic brand with history and keeping a real C kite in the range is fantastic. Cheers

      Yep, it's needed to have equipment that riders can reach the highest levels on, there's enough average performing "all-round" kites out there.

    Thanks for taking the time bro. Not enough videos on this stuff. ⚡️ Definitely true about being able to ride powered. Often I’m comfortable on a 13 when others take 11’s. Different kite but similar power to the torch.

      Thanks Man! Yep a lot of people are quite confused about C-kites and the relative power of them. They assume SLE's have more power but that assumption is really a moot point because most C-kites actually turn faster than an SLE for the given size so if you're worried about having enough juice just size up... haha. Also a C-kite has a much better usable unhooked range than any SLE does.

    Nice video! Love the in-depth nature of the comparison.
    One question on the sizing of the Torch; don’t you think they feel smaller because of the thinner leading edge? (Instead of less square meters of material??)
    I think the thicker the LE is, the more power it generates, but the less it is able to shoot forward - which of course is exactly why the Torch is a thin LE? I notice this on my Airush Razors, have never flown a Torch so of course I cannot tell - just a thought!

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  Рік тому +1

      That can definitely play a role in how powerful a kite feels (or how little depower it has), personally I don't think a thick LE gives you more power it just gives you a kite that flies deeper in the window with less ability to shoot forward (so seems more powerful). AMP and Torch have pretty similar LE thickness. The Torch is undersized if you measure it.

    If you ever cut down a bar to make it shorter, could you do a video about it? That would be really interesting, I never saw anything on that matter. Shorter bar would be really advantageous for wakestyle

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  Рік тому +1

      Yep I could do it for sure, unfortunately most newer bars are becoming much harder to shorten yourself.

    With the torch I’ve heard about lengthening the back lines a bit as excess tension can cause stalling - would you be able to lend any insight into that?

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  Рік тому

      In my experience the Torch back-stalls the least of many C-kites I've used. I've never found the back line to front line ratio to be off on my bars, but if it's looking over-sheeted then pull those bits out of the end of the bar and lengthen them.

    Alex, I appreciate your insight a lot in your videos, I am wondering for reference though when you say to size down on the naish torch's , what size board are you using and weight are you? I am only asking for reference, that is very good knowledge to know. The reason I am asking is just to have a reference point in the sizes of kites you choose

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  Рік тому

      I'm actually saying to size up on the Torch's because they are slightly smaller than their numbers represent.
      Board size is anything from a 150-159 twintip down to a 41inch wakeskate. I'm 6'1 and 87kg.

    Great review as usual,
    I don't know if I missed something, but it would be great to know, why did you switch from ozone to naish ? and I was wondering why you wouldn't ride on Ozone Reo it seems like it was supposed to be a great kite for your style of riding ? whats your general opinion on wave kites ?
    thanks

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  Рік тому

      Long story short I found the communication at Ozone with the constant change of people in managerial roles frustrating, primarily though I wanted to be a part of a team that supported other freestyle and park riders (also Women in those disciplines) who I could work alongside and do projects with.
      I didn't ride Ozone Reo much because it's not a very good kite to ride unhooked with, the AMP is a much better kite to ride unhooked with as that's probably what I do 50% of the time in the waves. The difference between Reo and AMP isn't that great that it was worth to kite or travel with both.
      I think wave kites have their place for sure, if it's your primary discipline and you're a hooked-in rider it makes sense to have a kite that's better for waves (something that has a softer pull, drifts well and doesn't yank so hard through loops.). Some of the one strut foiling kites also make pretty good wave kites.

    Can you estimate the size of the torch compering to the Vegas? For example if I'm riding 13m vegas so I'll feel the same with 14m torch?

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  3 місяці тому

      It wouldn't be the same, it would depend on your weight and wind conditions. If you wan't something slightly larger than the 13 Vegas then get the 14 Torch. The Torch has slightly more depower than the Vegas so I think 14 is the right choice.

      @@le_tranq thanks for your answer!
      You recommended to use one size bigger than what you used with the amp. So I meant to ask if you think it's applied on the vegas as well? Should i get one size bigger than what i use with a vegas?

    • @le_tranq
      @le_tranq  3 місяці тому +1

      @@yoavravnizki9592 Yeah probably. The Torch doesn't come in a 13m anyway, so you only have 12 or 14 to choose from, so 14m makes the most sense.

    I really don't like the graphics on new naish kites. Looks too old and poor for my taste. I really enjoyed the 2017 to 2020 tho. Love your videos. Kiters and companies tyring to get as far away as possible from c-kites so you feel like one of a few gems in a sea full of big air kiters

      If you didn't grow up in that era I can see how maybe it's not very appealing, it's more nostalgia to me than anything else, takes me back to being a 16year old. You're right, it's a shame, hopefully we see some more progress again in this segment as people come back around to learning more tricks again. Thanks for the support man!
