Hi Ian, I recently purchased the GUERRILLA, it's my third Royal Enfield... I'm very satisfied, as always. Here there is a little less iron and a little more plastic... but it's still a real Royal! Regards from Italy 👋👋
Bloomin marvellous! 😀 Good morning Ian, thanks a million for the mention 🙏🏼 I’m currently sat at 297 miles with first service booked for this coming Friday (27th). I’ve no complaints with the CEAT tyres, and no issues when I got caught out in the wet. I share your pain with a lot of road users these days, my commute to work in Birmingham can be described as challenging at the best of times, ‘bandit country’ is a good description of the route I take! 😂 Really enjoyed accompanying you and Scorpio on these rides and the awesome scenery. P.S. I’ve ordered a TFT screen protector, I’ll report back if it’s any good 👍🏻
Morning Dave. Scorpio now has 132 miles on the clock, was hoping to get out today, but the forecast was wrong as per usual, and it’s peeing down. We are off down to Bourton on the Water two weeks on Wednesday, then to Hendre Mynach at Barmouth from Sunday 13th October till Thursday the 17th (during the week so I doubt you will be there, but if you are we could meet up, just msg me). I had hoped to have got Scorpio’s service done by then, but it just isn’t going to happen. So the intention is to stop near Nantwich again from Thursday 17th till Sunday 20th, and will get it done then. The next release, on Thursday, will highlight what we have to put up with, I’ll say no more, but keep an eye out for the gold car 😳🫣🤬. I too have ordered an anti glare screen protector from Speedo Angels £10.99, an update today says it’s in the post ! Take care
Hi Ian 👋. Brilliant vlog thank you. Stunning views! I sincerely hope that Ann & yourself don't require "sprinkling" for many more years yet! 😂. Regards, Mo 😊👍.
I collect my playa black one from Keighley next Tuesday cannot wait already have some accessories for it large engine bars, anti glare TFT screen, hand protectors, bench seat and flyscreen then the running in procedure begins😏
Hi @@ianhughesroyalenfieldHitchcocks in the UK have now started releasing some. Im also buying some genuine stuff from RE in India that ive used before to accessories my beloved Hunter 350.
Yes, seen them. Have you seen the price of the touring mirrors at Hitchcock’s though 😳. I am reluctant to buy from India, due to trust, and if I have to pay import tax.
@@ianhughesroyalenfieldHitchcock's arnt always the cheapest option i have used them for some stuff for the hunter and guerrilla. I understand your concerns with ordering from India. Ive never had a problem only time i got stung for additional fees wee the large engine vars for the hunter the box was massive thou but still cheaper than from here. Most parts comes through no fees.
I finally got a test ride this afternoon Ian , the demo bike had been well run in as it was part of a fleet so I was OK to use the revs freely ! Bloody hell what a hoot! It really gets a trot on when you open it up , I had a right good ride over the peaks to Castleon, they handle beautifully don't they , I want one , so going to have to sell a couple of my bikes to fund one , but not my Classic 350! Cheers Mel 🍻
Bloody brilliant Ian; certainly Gods own country. In the vid, the speedo is obscured by reflected sunlight nearly all the time. Is it the same for u when you are riding? That car park is perfect for a picture or a coffee stop. I have never seen it empty before; second time lucky eh. I really hope its many years before you or Ann need "sprinkling". Cheers Ian, really enjoyed the vid and looking forward to the next one. When doing Kirkstone Pass it this direction I tend to cut down The Struggle; the views in this direction are just jawdroppingly beautiful. Enjoy Scorpio mate, she is stunning. Ride safe bud.
Morning Neil. I often think doing a there and back video is a bit lame, but in this instance we had to go, to come back to this view. Fortunately I can see the speedo more than on video, the few inches between my eye-line and what the camera sees makes a difference. Also the recording frame rate makes the screen look blank sometimes too. Recording at 50fps instead of my usual 30fps, helps, as does setting the screen to dark, but doesn’t eliminate it. I will try it with a white background sometime though, first at 50fps then at 25fps. I am usually quite lucky with that lay-by by Ullswater, but not when I really needed to be, I really wanted to do the reveal there 🫣😂. I will do a there and back on The Struggle sometime 😉 Thank you my friend.
Fantastic spot for a photo. Much less familiar with Ullswater than Windermere as we’ve stopped at Bowness on a few holidays. Think we did the route from Bowness to Pooley Bridge on our first stay (1996) but by car. Would love to get up there and ride over the passes
Morning, I much prefer Ullswater over Windermere. Although it does get busy at times, it’s nothing when compared to Windermere. By the way, there will be a ride to Bowness on the Guerrilla coming in the next couple of weeks, I just have to edit it 👍
What more can a man asked for? great roads, great scenery on a wonderfull bike. Did you have to purchase a new helmet ? to accomodate that large smile you have on your face, Enjoy and thanks for the ride out. Bfn Mike ,Sunny Wales. (see you soon)
Great to see more of the new beastie Ian , Certainly a beautiful area in which to enjoy Scorpio. Looking forward to seeing what post 4k rpm brings , Many more smiles I would be betting. 😄😂
It will be, I took the one I test rode up round Stocks reservoir and over the tops. It ripped up them steep hills, I’d say on a b road it’s as quick as anything and faster than most!👍
@@ianhughesroyalenfield I was so surprised at just how fast the Guerrilla was that I did the exact same route on my Bonnie immediately after the test ride to see if it could hustle at the same rate! In conclusion 236kg doesn’t go round tight corners as fast as 184kg (even with fancy fox rear shocks) . Redline 79hp between corners in 2nd and 3rd and you hit higher speeds than 40hp being kept in the sweet spot. Swings and roundabouts but it was a lot more effort on the Bonnie than the Guerrilla which felt fast without even trying!😂 I know the Guerrilla was new and my Bonnie is 8 yrs old now (but it had just been serviced) but the Guerrilla’s brakes felt way better too!👍

I have just edited a short video, (out in a few weeks), whereby I wave a Ducati past, saying I can’t have a play due to the running in, 4K rev limit, god I was tempted 😂
Hi Simon, in the review I did, I was adamant that I was going to get the Yellow, but when I went into the shop, the Black was in the window. Both Ann and I said in total unison “BLACK”…..it was that simple.
It is a Beeline Moto 2 navigation device. It works from an app on your phone. It’s ok, but not great in my opinion. You can plan routes, and save to the app….but if you are in a low phone internet area (which I often am), let’s say H+, and you just want to get home, the app won’t let you plot the route due to insufficient internet. Defeats the object for me.
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Thanks for that Ian. I've since realized I wouldn't need one anyway. I should be getting my 350 Classic next week and Eddys are going to stick a Totom on for me, it was one of those brain fade moments I have a lot of lately lol.
You love the lakes, i love the lakes but so does every man and his dog and with so many caravans, motorhomes and big SUVs on the road, these day's, it gets very busy and difficult to overtake on those back roads. Still keep going though but usually when the kids are in school.

Thanks Mike, yes those views as we come out of the trees. We had to go up, to come back for that ……. 😎. Even with just over 130 miles on the clock, Scorpio is just starting to smooth out, definitely not as tight as the 350’s though, by a long way. We are definitely going to have some serious fun 😈😎

My Guerrilla was delivered to me (so say PDI'd) with nearly 50 psi in each!!
