When I buy too much kale and don't think I'll use it in time I throw it in the Vitamix with enough water to grind it, then pour it in ice cube trays and when frozen pop them in ziploc bags. When I make a smoothie I just throw a couple of them in.
+Craftlover 9 Ohhh, I love that idea! I have some spinach in my fridge that I need to do that with. Thanks so much :)
+SweetPotatoSoul You are quite welcome!! Thanks for all your videos that are helping me immensely as I am just starting my vegan journey...
you can make fresh mint tea! Its so good! just put the leaves in a cup of hot water and let it sit for a bit. yum :)
I love your style! I just discovered your channel and subscribed immediately! The music in the background, your entire style and aura is just nice! I'm inspired by the healthy foods you're eating because I'm starting to eat clean. I'm not vegan but I'm thinking of incorporating some of these ideas/meals/spices into my arsenal.
JonelleElise yeah. She totally rocks!! She is gorgeous.
With the fresh mint leaves, you Can make tabuleh (a lebanese dish using also bulghur) or some raïta (an indian dip made out of yoghurt, shredded cucumber, mint and ground cumin...so yum!) as a beverage, you could prepare moroccan green tea. Finally, for dessert, you Can mix chopped mint leaves with watermelon cubes and some vegan cheese similar to feta cheese. xxx
For the mint, make a morning water!! Mint, cucumber and lemon. A liter of that when you wake up!! So refreshing, and detoxifying :-D
I was going to say this. Yes !! Yum
I was going to say this. Yes !! Yum
Oh that sounds so good and refreshing... Thanks for the idea ! :0)
Sounds yum!!!
I've been doing a lot of research on Vegan life style after i watched a documentary that shook me to the core. "Lucent"
A lot of the vegans i have been watching tend to have this positive beautiful Ora about them. You are now my favorite! thank you for being you and for these great videos.
I love your videos! I'm a vegetarian, considering going vegan, and you've really helped me get closer to the switch-over. You're very positive (some vegans on UA-cam, sadly aren't as positive), and will be subscribed for a really long time!
+Alexa Rudley (Lexi) Aww, thanks so much Alexa! I'm here to help you along your vegan journey :) You'll always find positivity here!! Sending you lots of happy vibes! xoxo
You're the best person on UA-cam. You should have 7,000,000 subscribers 💕
I'm moving into my first apartment. I've been vegan for about two years but I wanted some inspiration on what to keep in my personal kitchen. I adore your attitude! I subscribed!!
I love your channel!!! Very short, simple, and sweet!!!! Glad I found you!!!
Hi Cutty, You inspire me SO much, I love you! I make salads with fresh mint, with quinoa, colorful peppers, tomatoes and spices. I also make mint tea with black tea, or herbal tea, in boiling water and putting a bouquet of mint after I stopped the heat, put a top, wait a few minutes, and drink that.... also I keep the rest in the fridge in summer and drink on a warm afternoon. I also eat it with falafel, or hummus, SO good. Voila Jenne
How funny, I just left you a comment on another video expressing how I appreciate you guiding us with your ideas and suggestions. I told you I needed help figuring out what to keep in my pantry and this video pops up! :). YASSSSSSS!! Thank you so much!!
I absolutely love this video. I just turned Vegan this January 2017. Like you, I've been transitioning for about 2 years now. I just subscribed mainly because you're a sister an secondly, your videos are AWESOME! YEAH!!! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 Been watching other vegans here on UA-cam too. I'm really happy you're vids are cool. Will be pulling from your recipes and infos a lot. My husband is very supportive and has been cleaning up his diet too. I think he'll be joining me soon. That's a huge help. Thanks a mill for sharing! 👍🏾

My new obsession. 😍 Thank you for making the journey such an enjoyable experience.
could you please do a meal plan for like 5 days??u have a beautiful glow. you are like sunshine. love and light!
This is a great resource! For the mint, I like to include it in frozen banana ice cream. I have a chocolate mint plant in a little pot. It is so delicious and will survive anything.
Hi Jenne', you can make mint tea with your fresh mint.. it's lovely. Just put a few leaves in a mug and pour hot water and let them sit for a few minutes :)
Your positivity is contagious new subby your gorgeous inside and out
officially obsessed with you haha binge watched all your vids
Thank you for mentioning the bread! There was an Ethiopian restaurant in my city that closed a few years ago and I have missed that bread so much since they closed and I didn't know what it was called. Really excited to try making some myself. I'm sure mine won't be as amazing as the owners wife's recipe, but practice might get me there.
You are the absolute cutest! Harissa is my favourite food :) I love to use mint as an infusion in hot or cold water, it's really great.
I would love an update on this! Has you vegan kitchen changed during the last year? Do you have any new favorites? I would LOVE a new vegan kitchen tour! :)
Very good suggestion...I would love to see that also, but I think we would have to email her the idea for her to know we would like an up date...so anyone who reads his and loves Juila Back's idea send an email out ! :0)
I use fresh mint in my lemon water everyday! I love it it's refreshing it's also a natural breath refresher!
loving the positivity and the awesome food :)
I love adding mint to smoothies! it's also great in chocolate puddings.
I've even had it in a salad at a restaurant and it was divine :)
+Goldie S Oh absolutely! I like the way you think. I adore pudding 😋
I've just discovered your channel. I am transitioning to a vegan and feel like I've hit the jackpot with your channel. Thank you!
Unsweetened west soy milk is my favorite too! Trader Joe’s unsweetened soy milk is great as well. I love that I can just keep it on the shelf until I need it. And it’s not sickly sweet like a lot of soy milks tend to be. :)
I'm so happy I found your channel! I already love your style and views. I really like putting mint in my water. It's so fresh.
+Kyla Huebner Thank you Kyla!! You're so sweet 😘 Mint in water would be lovely indeed. I think I'm going to start infusing my water each morning with fresh fruit and mint 😉
I know this is an old video haha, but you are literally glowing! SLAY GIRL!
Great tip about storing kale in water...who would've thunk? My father-in-law makes some 'world-famous' mint ice tea...ok so he used to live in the Bronx but it's some GREAT stuff! Thanks again for inviting us into your kitchen. 😘
+MICHELLE JOHNSON-WELCH Thank you!! Oooo, mint iced tea sounds delightful. I need to do that before it gets too chilly :)
U can use the mints in spring rolls. As a vietnamese, we use in in spring rolls and bun soup or bun xao a lot.
I'm so happy I found your channel.
omg when u pulled out all the tahinis, then the HUGE maple syrup jug and the bouquet of mint :)))))) i swear your my twin sister/soul sister!!!!! love it!!!! :))))) btw chop up the mint superfine(1 tbsp), add 1/2 tbsps tahini, bit of carob molasses 1/2 tbsps, squeeze of lime juice, touch of seasalt and blend!!, now slather this creamy concoction onto your favourite slice of vegan bread!(or mini appetizer/salad)!!!!! bonappetit(afiyet olsun in Turkish)
thank you for the recipes! as a vegan I appreciate them. I will give it a try on the kitchen soon. I hope you keep making videos because I can't really find nice vegan recipes on other channels so! carry on. thanks again and have a great day! :)
Mint & Watermelon blended into a juice/smoothie! One of my faves! P.S. I love your head wrap!
+Becky J Sounds perfecto!! Thanks Becky :)
Love your channel, Queen. I just started a YT vegan cooking show + today I stumbled upon yours. Inspiring, to say the least. Thank You!
You don't really have to soak your beans. In fact, canned beans are not soaked before canning. I cook a 1 lbs bag and freeze the beans in 1-2 serving packets.
omg I just found you and I love love love your energy new sub!!!!
I love ThriveMarket too!
I love your channel. As a newly converted vegan, I will continue to support you by watching all videos. That "Bootylicious" video was the bomb. Keep up the good work.

Love your videos, they're so refreshing. I have a lot of the same items in my kitchen same brands and all. You can make different types of fresh mint tea's: strawberry mint, ginger mint just to name a few. Oh side note you should try the cacao nips, such a great topping for all those vegan desserts you make.
You are my new motivation! I just decided to go vegan and you're recipes make me miss my old eating habits less and less. Thank you so much!

Hi Jenne, I just wanted to thank you for your videos and tell you how much I love your channel! I've been a vegetarian for quite a while now and always knew that becoming vegan was the logical next step, but I found the idea overwhelming and even a bit intimidating. I'd no idea where to even begin! I watched a few of your videos today and I've learned a ton! I feel motivated to go vegan now! So thanks again :)
+Dylan Quinn Hey Dylan! Thank you so much for your kind note. I am so glad to have you as a subbie, and extra happy to know that my videos have been helpful for you. Yay for going vegan! I'm here for you if you have any questions 💞
I actually love you so much
Why do you freeze your compost? I would love to see a video on how you dispose of fruit and veggie waste. I've had a hard time keeping the fruit flies away and some people I share a kitchen with aren't so fond of my the smell of my food scraps.
Hannah Banana freezing it is what will keep the bugs and smell away from your apartment! When you've accumulated enough, you can take it all to a community compost. There are a lot of grocery stores that do that and there's a farm about 45 minutes from me that accepts food scraps for compost so you might be able to find something like that
I have dozens of spices and herbs too. Totally essential. My kitchen looks like rice, canned beans, frozen vegetables, potatoes, canned coconut milk, and coconut milk for cereals, salsa, avocados, corn tortilla chips, nuts, flax, chocolate soymilk, citrus fruits for juicing, and boxes of tea. Oh and peanut butter and jam.
+Sage Haha! I love it :)
Nice tour I just tried the Just Mayo love it, Yes go ahead do the periscope.
+Sharon Burks Thanks Sharon!! Glad you liked Just Mayo :) See you on Periscope! xo

With the mint - chop some up and add it to strawberries with some lemon juice or zest OR add it to grapes with some lemon juice
+Janel Coleman Mmm, I like the way you think! Thanks Janel :)
Fresh mint is really good to make warm tea in the morning! It's really good to speed up metabolism and get your body going. Just a slice of lemon, mint, and hot water😊 let it sit a couple mins and bam. Fresh mint tea☕️. Also making banana ice cream with mint and cacao nibs is my favorite treat😛
+carolannechristine Yes, great idea! I'm going to do that for sure. I added it to a green juice today, and the a pea dip with mint & basil. So good!
Oh, and I'm totally going to make that ice cream ;)

+LaBelle Epoque Oh yes, I have :) ua-cam.com/video/1GehbtHY6c4/v-deo.html
I live in a city too and I've NEVER known what to do with my compost, so I've just been throwing it out :/ Freezing it is such a great idea!! Great video
+Kodii McAllister Thanks!! Oh yeah, I freeze it then take it to the market to compost once or twice a week! Thank you for watching ;;)
If you make your own salsa, mint tastes really nice added to it :))

So sad, Thrive doesn't send out to the US Virgin Islands. I will have to try to figure things out or find a company that does deliver. Thanks
