It's an Alpha, you don't have to buy it to play the game on Release. You only buy these keys if you want to support the project. People forget that Intrepid is a indie studio afterall, creating their first game, they don't have infinite money like Amazon or Blizzard. When the game releases it will be "free" you don't have to buy it or pay for future expansions you only pay the monthly sub. Don't buy a Alpha key if you want to play a game, you're paying to support the development of a future game, one of the last ones that is TRYING (but not guaranteed) to create something different in an industry in absolute decline, but it still has every chance of ending bad like all the others. At the same time it also shows lots of potential to be successful. They seem sincere and consistent in what they say, and show real progress every month. Time will tell.
@@vbm4780 Man, the problem is not the fact that you vote with your wallet. That is obvious. The issue is that you are asking people to pay up to 250$ to play an alpha phase of a game. And who cares about them not having the infinite money of a major corporation. Who forced them to make a game that wants to rival those who are made by multibillion dollar corporations? Sorry but this type of marketing leaves a lot to be desired in terms of integrity. The least they could've done is to offer something to these people if they decide to pay in order to play the alpha. They don't even get free access to beta. Play testing is something people are paid to do, not something the people must pay to do.
@@Kalimdor199Menegroth Have you ever heard of a Kickstarter? That is basicly how games that don't have infinite money like the big corporations finance their games, that they otherwise could not have been created. Path of exile started as a Kickstarter with public funding before launching, Albion as well. Path of Exile now competes head-to-head with Blizzard, in fact it's better. This would never have been possible without the public helping to fund the initial project. How is this different from selling keys to the alpha, which is completely optional? It's very simple, small studios need money to create the game, Intrepid have been showing good progress every month with real gameplay. You guys try way too hard to find issues with this game, much more than it deserves.
@@Kalimdor199Menegrothwhen did they ask you to buy it? Tbh since this is gonna be a long alpha. 120 for 2-3 years of entertainment isn’t that much if you want to test the game. You’ll spend 3-5 dollars a month. If you want to play the game just don’t buy and wait until the release with me.
Looking around in comments sections after the announcement made me realize in what kind of absolutely insane echo chamber these early adopters actually live in, constantly trying to justify any poor move by Intrepid as predictable and totally ethical. Sunk-Cost Fallacy in full effect.
@@Neeko2lo Neeko, respectfully, a coconut is not a nut. 🥥 Also dont get so emotionally invested in a game that literally doesnt exist, join the wow nation like the rest of us. There is no light in the mmorpg tunnel.
Star Citizen is actually a game. You can but a "startar ship" for 35 Bucks at sales. And you can get better stuff and ships with the money you earn in game. No subscriprions needed.
@@santosnroses Yeah, there's valid criticisms of how Star Citizen finances development but it's nowhere near as bad as this. And yet there's people who call Star Citizen an "evil scam" who are all in on AoC. (not naming names but there's a big streamer like that)
It’s obvious what’s going on by now. The studio is trying to make the most money before final release. Once they release the game, it will be a broken mess. I won’t be surprised if they start selling membership to get early access to monthly updates, view monthly updates 2-3 days before anyone else. 😂
Man AoC is probably one of the biggest crowdfunding gaming scams at least games like Star Citizen let you "playtest" for free from time to time on top of giving you access for like 40 bucks or so and that for a lifetime. AoC has not that much to innovate most of the systems they try to make have been in countless other MMORPGS. Star Citizen has to actually code most of their stuff from the grounds up to work properly not to mention all the simulation type stuff they add. Star Citizen compared to AoC seems like less of a scam ^^
No clue how there are so many people defending this in the comments. Yes, no one forces anyone to buy this, but it's fair to call it out for what it is. Just like how we call out crap from other companies.
I like how the game devs themselves are like "guy don't buy the alpha. We don't need the money. Watch streamers to see what we are doing" If they are testing fundamental systems that are broken and want stability, testing a few days a week and fixing the others makes more sense since, again, they've already said this isin't a product. I honestly think too many people have been treating this as a game and being disappointed that its just an alpha. I don't think anyone should pay for this, just wait until the actual release instead of crying. Consumers in this industry fucking suck. we whine cause cyberpunk was delayed than whined again when it released in a buggy state. If they were charging subs to play right now like an open test, than yea that's a scam. but they clearly are testing coresystems before dumping time into actually adding the bulk of content. A majority of the dev time is adding the core systems and making them fun. Adding content should be like...the last priority . And they are not saying anywhere its a finished game. It is super valid criticism to say that maybe taking this longto make the game means it will launch in an outdated state and be dead on arrival. This makes sense and is a concern I have for the game. But they are not making money on the game right now. They are not a scam. They are clearly trying to make a game. The 120 dollar price point also makes sense as it prices out people that might take up space in the limited servers but won't actually spend time submitting feedback consistantly. I know that this straw man oversimplification and loud angry shtick makes for more views but it feels disingenuous. I am far more angry at ubisofts thirty pre order tiers or blizzards monetization than this game. I say all of this as someone who hasn't spent a cent on the game and doesn't plan to until release or at least until there is plenty of gameplay streamed online. Everyone just needs to wait and see, let the devs cook before shitting on everything.
I strongly disagree with a 120 dollar price point for an alphy only access making sense in any way. If, as you said, the goal is to get feedback, its stupid as hell. People that bought access for 120 bucks will justify their own decision and tell you the game is better than it really is. That kind of feedback is disingenuous and overall a bad idea. If their plan is to test systems instead of getting feedback, there is no reason to "outprice" anyone. Yes, limit the access, but putting it behind a paywall like that is nothing more than a scam. Even if they tell you you should expect nothing. I really wouldnt want anyone else to copy shitty business practices like these
@@lukip6304 I would also point out that the price as it is now is likely damage control to keep older backers happy as well. If I paid 400 dollars for backing this and they opened up testing which is the main appeal of backing and it was 20 dollars I would feel I was scammed. I feel the 80 to 100 dollar range might have been less harsh for people but I so think that previous backers were part of the reason too. It's like when a game has a bunch of pre order packages but goes free to play after 3 months. It definetly kills my interest in a game when that happens.
@@pianodevotion I understand your point and agree that having alpha access was the main appeal, but you also got a bunch of other stuff, including, if I remember correctly, half a year or even a full year of access after launch, which definitely makes the price more justifyable. But this right now is a joke. You pay $120 to playtest an unfinished (duh) game, get nothing in return, and even get your key revoked for future tests ._. This should be **nothing** to pay money for at all. At least give me a few months of playtime for the release when I invest in your game now
Oh wait, Steven will now give beta access to everyone purchasing Alpha 2 keys but does this deal actually contain an ACTUAL game copy later on when (god knows) it launches? I know they are talking sub based but I was assuming is a buy + sub a-la how Everquest or WoW did.
Nvm just checked, does not include the actual game purchase nor game time (in the golden era all box purchases that had sub would include at least 1 month of gameplay). This is simply the biggest scam in the industry I've seen, even fatter than Star Citizen, at least there I paid $45 or something like that and got a ship that can be brought to the game when it finisheslolol and allows me to play that damn bugfest 24/7 - I have got my share of hours worth of entertainment from SC at less than half the price tag they ask players to test AOC. Sad.
These "indie devs" pushing asset flip "alphas" earn more money than entire game studios were making 15 years ago by selling finished games. They figured out that milking the alpha asset flip and bailing out is legal , Star Citizen paved the way.
Such an obvious scam..Looking forward to following the lawsuits. Paying to be a playtester is insane.. it's like going to work and paying your employer instead of getting a paycheck yourself. People are crazy to think this is ok.
Im somone who really wanted to see this game get made and succeed to the point where i bought a $500 pack a couple years ago. That pack included all the testing phases AND a bunch of cosmetics AND game time at launch AND premium currency. I rememeber telling people dont buy just for alpha, alpha is a little bonus, youre paying for cosmetics and game time when the game drops. Paying $100+ in order to ALPHA TEST a game is absurd and its insulting they would even offer this
The pricing is expensive but was expected because the ridiculous earlier packages. That beta isnt included is a complete joke, agree on that one. Time to get a job, neeko (im sure even yapping about everything gets boring)
Just a quick thing before anyone gets scared. Betas will be on separate servers and alpha 2 servers will carry on through UP UNTIL the release of the game! :)
They're going to have alpha up for a year, wipe progress, sell beta keys for $200-$300 dollars, keep the beta up for a year, and then, maybe, at some point, they will release a game that's going to cost another $70-$150 dollars. And usually, when a game does this... it's not a good sign. They are probably short on money, even though they claim they're not. Wouldn't be surprised if the alpha is gonna be an absolute mess, where for "development reasons" people are limited to 1-3 zones. Certainly not because nothing else exists in the game.
Objecting to paying to test is the wrong view. The objection is "using players to fund a MMO". It's fine to object to that and also to how they have gone about it (communication etc), but should be totally clear. They even spent 20mins asking content creators to emphaize "this is not a completed game, this is not early-access", that you are paying for "play testing", but I didn't see that in the vid. You show the "no beta" clip, but don't explain that Alpha gives you test access. Test builds will go to beta and eventually beta is released and test stops. Also there will be some NDA testing on Test builds. Could say beta acess is trash since who will actually be playing it (will have seen all the content on Test etc). But not explaining what Alpha gives you and implying no beta is terrible seems wrong. "you've never seen..." that's because no game has trying to fund like this before. Again can object to how it's being done, but should explain what it is they are saying they are doing (and whether your believe them etc.) It's 100% a delay and if you ever thought Alpha was less than 3 years then I don't know what to say. Note I've not bought access, I don't agree with a ton of stuff they are doing, but almost all the hate I see is attacking the wrong thing.
Amen, you hit the nail on the head for everything. The culture around game development has become a toxic consumer last goldsink abusive relationship. Tester is a legitimate job, but its being turned around into a privilege you should pay 100+€ for. In 10 years people will pay for the privilege to help develop a game and be a "part of production". Its a clownfest thatll stay this way as long as people are gullible and stupid enough to buy into it.
There is more and more room for those who call this "project" a scam game, to be right, 8 years of making a game that did not exceed its 10-20% of what was promised, apart from these expensive values even for those with purchasing power loud and meaningless, you will pay to test a game for others with no guarantee of a return on that investment. that said, 100% scam
it seems like when the game releases it will be free , you will pay just for the monthly fee, so paying for alpha that will go on for quite few years ( and it costs to run it) its kinda right no ? wait the streamers to play it and if you like what you see then buy
You paying 120$ to playtest a game thats barely even playable and not even getting beta access is unacceptable. You should be being paid for this, you should be rewarded for playtesting, not the other way around.
@@Neeko2lo They have infinite people to playtest the game. Why are you being so mentally ill about this? Obviously people have wanted to get early access to games they want. Now they have an option and freaks like you are throwing a tantrum.
And that is totally respectable. Steven has even said so. If you want a finished game, play the launch which comes with no box cost and with $15 a month
Steven made his money in MLM multi level marketing. He IS using the same concepts to reach consumers through hype and paid YT creators aka Trolls. Anyway. Put out the game Steven. Seriously, just finally put it out or get out and Shuddup Steven.
Thanks alot for calling it for what it is. If u have a proper product and a plan u dont need to make people pay for a beta. if they want money and have a good project they could sell stocks!!
That not paying taxes thing could be pretty signifigant if true. Doesnt seem wise to mess with irs though since skipping on those payments usually leads to much deeper problems in the end. Uncle Sam isnt kidding around when it wants to get the tax it thinks belongs to him.
"when the test is over, you have to buy another one"??? Where tf did you pull that from..? the 120 pack gives you access to a2 and both betas even beyond the full launch of the game... atleast do a smidge more than 5 minute research before ranting about it...
And one more thing: They have all those classes, systems etc. "planned" but what is the main vision? Where is the prioritization in the last 8years of development?
Yep i am staying away from this, Seeing this I already know how it will be when the game releases and they will have a shop, maybe even BP and who knows. So sick of this Crap. I would have paid maybe 20$ to play a beta key or something but 100$+ wtf NOPE stay far away.

@@harmoney-tk5wd It kind of is. And they are still in alpha. God knows how many years it will take to deliver an early access, let alone a complete product.
I'm going to start off my post by saying that people are entitled to feel how they want, about whatever they want. Do you. Having said that, if you're going to speak about someone/something, you should be knowledgeable about what you're saying, at a bare minimum, imo. Regarding the tax lien, that was initiated in 2021. It's three years later, and Intrepid is still operating. Which should tell you that whatever the underlying issue was, it was resolved. Otherwise, the lien would have turned into a levy, and there would be no more Intrepid. And, the lawsuit that is mentioned in that Reddit post was filed in 2020, and dismissed in 2021. Again, three years ago. I'm not sure how this is supposed to be "evidence" of some type of malfeasance on Steven/Intrepid's part... Seems a bit of a reach, aided by unsubstantiated conjecture. As for the price of the Alpha keys, I fail to see the issue. This isn't a single player game. This an MMO in development. It takes money to run/maintain servers. Especially when you're talking about opening them to a sizable number of the public. Also, when you consider that people who pledged to the game had to pay for similar access, it would have been a spit in their face if the price was too low. AND, another consideration is...once again...this is NOT a game. Alpha 2 is a TEST. Which means that Intrepid needs people who are serious about testing the game, to push forward with development. If the entry into Alpha was negligible, to free, then people would treat it as such. Negligible. By giving access value, that means that anyone who pays REALLY wants to test, and will take the responsibility seriously, because of the investment. I'm by no means rich, or close to it. $100-$120 is not punitive. Alpha testing is more than likely going to be more than a year, imo. But, even if it was just a year, that's around $10-$12 a month. If that's abhorrent to anyone, just don't buy it. It's not going to hurt you, or the game, if you pass. Life goes on. I get it that this video was most likely made for clicks/clout. Even with that said, do better. Peace.
I'd assume it's some sort of entitlement that they feel the price has to be lowered for them. As you clearly illustrated this is merely a test. The actual game release will have no box price and only a subscription. People feeling entitled that they should be allowed into an alpha are being ridiculous. Steven himself said to not purchase any of this. Only people who want to financially support the game should make the purchase. People who don't purchase it should have no opinion on those who do because they only have to wait for the game. Anyone complaining about the wait time need to play another game and move on. These things take time. Nice comment Dominic. This video was low effort and misinformed.
@@dominicjherr Sorry, but I cannot in good fate trust someone who says that he doesn't see an issue in asking for money so you can test a product. Imagine asking a potential customer to pay upfront to test a sample. That's cringe. Especially when the industry standard in regards to testing a game is 1) If you have the money you hire testers or 2) If you don't have the money to hire testers you give free access to people willing to test if for you. You don't ask volunteers to pay to test your game. On top of asking for 100$+ to test an alpha, you don't get anything else beyond having access to this alpha stage. No access to any future alpha nor the beta release. Practically you pay up to do their job. Isn't that cringe enough? Lastly, can you expect a proper evaluation and non-bias from people who can sink so much money into an incomplete product? Given the sunk-cost fallacy? Think again. I would trust more someone who doesn't have anything at stake in this game to provide a proper evaluation than someone who has sunk a lot of money in it.
If you buy access to the Alpha of Ashes of Creation, you should get access for beta as well and get game time at launch. That's how you spark people's interest.
Im amazed how some of the comments, is literally people fuming over the price tag, like they FORCE you to pay them? Just dont buy it lol... There is no NDA, you can literally just watch it from others and see if it's something you want in on, and if you do? Just wait for the release...
That will never happen, if ppl keep giving them money for no fuckin reason and after 8years not even a beta testing. Pay to test alpha 🤯, some ppl are really dumb simps
The issue is not about them forcing you to buy the alpha. But the practice itself. We have come from people being hired to test products, to people voluntarily testing products for free to having to pay to test a product. That's egregious and bad business practice.

Still closer to release than Star Citizen. They could get funding by bigger companies, but they refuse to do that. Steven is afraid that if he gets financial backing by a larger company he'll lose control of his investment. By getting many smaller donations he can stay in control. That has pros and cons, I'm still really excited to see the game. Don't know if Im going to invest in the Alpha. Probably will, but...

Ferrari cars today are tested by paid employees. You don't get to pay to test them. And they pay really well for you to test every aspect of a new car. Testing properly the new car before it is mass produced/sold is crucial, because that could mean saving up a lot of money post-release. Imagine how difficult, time-consuming and cost-inefficient is for a car company to have to recall cars into service because of issues that appear post-release. 4. There are very good reasons for people to believe this is a scam. They are asking you to pay to gain access to a game that is incomplete for the purpose of testing it. People that have invested hundreds, maybe thousands of $ in this, do you trust them to give a correct assessment of this game after they invested so much in it? Also, I do not even want to explain why this is bad for the overall state of the gaming industry. We have come to a point that even single player games today are infested with microtransaction, let alone MMOs. Having to pay to test an alpha is a new low.
Is there even any incentive for them to fully flesh out and release the game at this point? Like surely they are making more money just selling 100$ alpha access. See you in 6~months when there's Beta wave 3 for 150$
He aka the one person funding the entire game is obviously losing money for obvious reasons. The incentive to release the game is obviously the same as when He started making it with his personal money.

Surely we are going to put thousands of hours into a game that isn't even out yet and isn't even a game, so-to-speak right now. This is a whole new level of greed. Gaming corporations hire people to test their game. Indie developers hand them over for free, or provide an early access for people to test them for free. This is the first time I hear of a gaming developer asking people to pay to test their alpha.
2 things. They want people who will actually test.. random morons who9 just want to play a game. Also, they want serious players who will create content, who will also make the creator money.
L take as usual. Testing a game or any product is something someone pays you to do. You are being hired to test it. Indie developers who cannot afford to hire testers, either test the game themselves, or they hand over free copies to people, or release the game for free to a wider audience for testing purposes.

If any game development that can't exit out of alpha stage in 5 years of development, it's just a scam at that point.
No clue how there are so many people defending this in the comments. Yes, no one forces anyone to buy this, but it's fair to call it out for what it is. Just like how we call out crap from other companies.
The defenders are probably working PR for AoC. 😂 Eff AoC, those devs can ghet eff'd. 😂

the day before vibes
I'll probably be a 40 years old casual Dad of 4 when this game releases
That's optimistic. We'll all be long dead before that happens 😂
they literally created the alpha of the alpha to delay the real alpha.
I like how the game devs themselves are like "guy don't buy the alpha. We don't need the money. Watch streamers to see what we are doing"
If they are testing fundamental systems that are broken and want stability, testing a few days a week and fixing the others makes more sense since, again, they've already said this isin't a product.

@@pianodevotion
I understand your point and agree that having alpha access was the main appeal, but you also got a bunch of other stuff, including, if I remember correctly, half a year or even a full year of access after launch, which definitely makes the price more justifyable.
But this right now is a joke. You pay $120 to playtest an unfinished (duh) game, get nothing in return, and even get your key revoked for future tests ._. This should be **nothing** to pay money for at all. At least give me a few months of playtime for the release when I invest in your game now
But that is what happen, u get acces to beta stages, u get subtime for final Release as well.
People supporting this game reminds me of the same clowns investing in mlm pyramid schemes.😅😅😅
These "indie devs" pushing asset flip "alphas" earn more money than entire game studios were making 15 years ago by selling finished games. They figured out that milking the alpha asset flip and bailing out is legal , Star Citizen paved the way.

@@gokenji1194 yes! :)
And...... why f*ckin pay the stupid guy to test a game? If ya'll playing, your the problem we got with gaming right now.
Again can object to how it's being done, but should explain what it is they are saying they are doing (and whether your believe them etc.)
It's 100% a delay and if you ever thought Alpha was less than 3 years then I don't know what to say.
Note I've not bought access, I don't agree with a ton of stuff they are doing, but almost all the hate I see is attacking the wrong thing.
They are obviously not using players to fund the game obviously for obvious reasons

it seems like when the game releases it will be free , you will pay just for the monthly fee, so paying for alpha that will go on for quite few years ( and it costs to run it) its kinda right no ? wait the streamers to play it and if you like what you see then buy

@@harmoney-tk5wd It kind of is. And they are still in alpha. God knows how many years it will take to deliver an early access, let alone a complete product.
Yes it's a scam.
Peace.
this is a well known doomer content creator for mmos
I'd assume it's some sort of entitlement that they feel the price has to be lowered for them. As you clearly illustrated this is merely a test. The actual game release will have no box price and only a subscription. People feeling entitled that they should be allowed into an alpha are being ridiculous. Steven himself said to not purchase any of this. Only people who want to financially support the game should make the purchase. People who don't purchase it should have no opinion on those who do because they only have to wait for the game.

When will all the crybabies understand how an economy works? They put a price on a product that has a value: play the game or test it, whatever, in advance. If people value that product, they will pay. If people dont value, they move on and go into something else. Simple as that! Stop complaining about it, one way or the other!
Where's the value in this? Testing a game for the dev who's obvious scamming you guys for 8years now. Tell me which other studio that was not a scam operate like this.....
@@sprmn1983 maybe people like Steve and want to give him money. Maybe thats the value. Maybe people want to pay in order to play a game in advance and even consider it cheap. Ferrari cars costs a fortune and spend most time in the mechanic. Early days Lamborghini cars were incredibly bad and expensive too. Yet, nobody called them scammer because people saw a value in it.
In the end, it all comes down to this: its their money, what do you care?
@@Malbabo 1. You won't get to pay to play a game in advance. In fact the dev even admitted this alpha phase is far from being an actual game.
2. It is outrageous to ask for money to playtest a game when gaming corporation pay YOU to test their game and indie devs give free copies for volunteers to test. This is not industry standard.
This is no early access type of a game because at this point AoC is not even a game. The purchase that you make is only for alpha 2. It does not include access to other iterations of this game, like alpha 3 (if it will be another alpha) or beta.
5. You are right, people vote with their wallet at the very end. But how can you expect to get a good product when people buy alphas for testing and fall for the sunk cost fallacy? People that have invested hundreds, maybe thousands of $ in this, do you trust them to give a correct assessment of this game after they invested so much in it? Also, I do not even want to explain why this is bad for the overall state of the gaming industry. We have come to a point that even single player games today are infested with microtransaction, let alone MMOs. Having to pay to test an alpha is a new low.
@@Kalimdor199Menegroth Couldn't have said it better 😆
Ashes of Star Citizen 2: Electric Boogaloo
Is there even any incentive for them to fully flesh out and release the game at this point? Like surely they are making more money just selling 100$ alpha access.
See you in 6~months when there's Beta wave 3 for 150$
Thats what a lot of people are speculating
He aka the one person funding the entire game is obviously losing money for obvious reasons. The incentive to release the game is obviously the same as when He started making it with his personal money.
This game is never coming out
i really don't get why people are so upset about this
Alpha testers having to pay money is some truly 2024 shit in the gaming industry. AND ITS 100+ oh my.
Because you gotta weed out all the trolls, and this way you make sure you only get those THAT really want to test or is serious about it. I dont see a problem with it, dont want it? Dont buy it that easy.
You personally HAVE TO guy a plane ticket to europe and take a dump on the street. You have no choice in the matter.
@@flaarezwow2693 And all the cows stay in they can milk
@@flaarezwow2693 Surely. Weed the trolls, and attract people who suffer from sunk cost fallacy. Expect these people to give proper feedback, after they sunk so much money in this.
Seeing these small youtubers try and ragebait for clicks off a game they're going to put thousands of hours into is just sad. You're not gonna make it if this is the level you operate at after 8 years of making videos. What an insane waste of time, lol.
Every EA Titel on Steam is a Testfield
2 things. They want people who will actually test.. random morons who9 just want to play a game. Also, they want serious players who will create content, who will also make the creator money.
So they want people who test the game properly... without paying them.
L take as usual. Testing a game or any product is something someone pays you to do. You are being hired to test it. Indie developers who cannot afford to hire testers, either test the game themselves, or they hand over free copies to people, or release the game for free to a wider audience for testing purposes.
Now I cannot say for sure that this is the first time I heard of one having to pay for a key to test a game in development. There might've been such cases in the past. This is the first I hear about such a practice.
@@Kalimdor199Menegroth The purchase of the alp[ha key gives you access to both Betas, 1 month of sub and in game currency...
@@ZoneChaos1701 Yeah, now. After the backlash. Initially it did not give any of those. Still unreasonable IMO. Imagine paying to test an alpha, when people are hired to test games, or do it for free in the case of indie devs.
Typical Korean game 😆
Ohh i finally can see how average twitch chatter looks like irl! thank you Neeko2lo! Love from Czechia, your reviews were the worst of all on youtube
Overexaggerate and dramatic.
You're trying way too hard to find problems with this game before even playing it.
what about it is either?
@@Neeko2lobro you said it’s way worse than you’ve ever imagined. Idk what your expectations were but you must have been expecting to test everything. It’s not as bad as you think. I understand your disappointment in non persistent alpha. I’m also disappointed in that too since they told us it was going to be persistent. Just a side note if you are complaining about why it’s taking so long do a little research about the first 4 years.
What game? There is no game stupid, open your eye's and think harder than a gold fish. It's all a fuckin scam....
noone is twisting your arms to participate in the alpha or beta ! you dont have to pay wait until the game is released in 2,5 years or so but if you do want to participate in the development of the game buy giving intrepid invalueable information while participating in the game and to get a feel for the classes skills nodes etc . i think you get a lot for the alpha and beta access keys. first of all to be able to test different characters abilitys and really get a feel for what the game is going to be for me its priceless but i guess its not for everyone .but whining about it please get a beer..
I expect you to write me an apology letter in 5 years when the game is still in alpha.
is not a scam..wtf. Steven responded on reddit. the price is hight to be sure that people gonna buy it if they are serius about testing. And aplha2 gonna last minium a year. that mean 12 13 euro /dollar montly..grow up. Also keeping a server up , gonna cost some money
you understand that can be a marketing trick bc until may 2025 you only have a few days of alpha 2 few days in a few months and then a few days in dec. Only in may 2025 they plan to have a longer going alpha session planned but if they delay that lets say till august or september and then do only 1 or 2 months of alpha 2 ,then technically they didnt lie about more then a year of alpha 2. And dont start that we must trust them bc we see delay after delay with many of their stuff.
People are so entitled these days, they get an opportunity to visit a car factory and sit in a concept car and demand being paid engineer wage to do it.
But you're not there to visit. You're there to test the car. Would you test the car for free, when someone else does this regularly and gets a salary for it?
who are you anyway = just a hater go back do Dead World
