This lime-infused twist on lemonade is sure to be the hit of your next summer party. FULL RECIPE at: www.tastemade.... Director and DP: Eric Slatkin Food Stylist: Sonya Masinovsky
OMG!! I have all the ingredients including the Vitamix blender. As soon as I am finished watching this video, I will make one. Thank you for the treat!!
Sorry, but I am brazilian too and I NEVER and EVER seen this before!!! It's just lemon and water! JUST THIS! Sugar is optional! Se você ė brasileiro sabe disso!
Concordo.
+Dora Dallanhol Amorim condensed milk is made from regular milk... So really coconut milk is best or soy. Maybe lactose free kind of they're intolerant
Organic produce is great for a lot of reasons, but organic farmers still use pesticides. Some crops, like citrus, cannot be grown in any kind of numbers without the use of pesticides. They just use organic pesticides.
Even though it was a bitter for me, I really like the complex taste. Very refreshing. All videos on thristy for is sooooo amazing. From the music to the settings, utensils, and etc, everything is so carefully selected. LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!
José Moura I was wondering do you really call both lime and lemon "limão"? Because here in Portugal we have the word "lima" for lime (Just noticed how confusing this comment looks xD)
Congratulations! Loved! As a Brazilian myself I never used coconut milk. But it would make it taste nice. And also, never saw someone using condensed milk AND sugar on the same recipe. I know that in the U.S. you have the unsweetened version, but in Brazil we only find the very sweet condensed milk in regular markets. I'll give a try to this versio!
That is not a "Brazilian Lemonade" at all... Here in Brazil we don't add coconut milk or sugar, just the lemons, water, sweetened condensed milk and some ice. And it's funny, that this drink was named "Brazilian Lemonade", because in Brazil we call it "Swiss Lemonade". And Limes and Lemons are not the same around here. Limes are "Limas" and Lemons are "Limões". But this recipe also seems to taste delicious, I'll try it at home! :D
André Moreira Talvez seja diferente nessa parte do Brasil.
I made this yesterday but I cut the recipe in half and I didn't use the peels of the lime, there's no organic where I live. It tasted better than expected! It was sweet, refreshing, and tart! So good!
Hahahah love it! But the funniest thing about this lemonade here in Brazil is that we call it Limonada Suíça.. or! In english, Swiss Lemonade!! Hehe! Don't ask me why! And we normally don't use the coconut milk to make it ... Bur sure looks tasty though.. :)
We call this Swiss Lemonade. I never added coconut milk, but seems a good idea. Our Brazilian Lemonade its just water, sugar and lime/lemon. ;) Nice video
I've never seen lemonade thickened with coconut milk instead of condensed milk (also not very common!) here in Brazil, but it sure looks nice :-) I'll give it a try!
A nossa demora várias e várias horas no fogo... Sem parar de mexer... Kkkk kkkkkk deve ser um desastre mesmo...
Very good but I'm pretty sure this lemonade is Russian, or at least that's how we call it in Brazil. When I first saw it I thought it'd be about caipirinha, which is an alcoholic drink with lime, but you made a lime juice and put condensed milk (something I've never done). Love the music.
just one thing... it's better to drink it right after you make it because as time goes by it gets increasingly bitter. The milk/condensed milk slows the process but it still happens.
Hello, I was wondering if you could possibly show us, or if anyone in the comment section knows how to make the sweetened lime juice that you can find in Belize.
It looks tasty as hell and I wanna have it now, but as per the comments and my own experience, it's anything but Brazilian... oh, well, no harm done, I'll just take a sip and enjoy :)
Lemon we call Silician Lemon (LImão Siciliano) Lime we Call Tahiti Lemom, or Just lemom (Limão Taíti ou só Limão) And this, we call Swiss Lemonade (Switzerland)
In ฿ ℝ Ⱥ ℤ ⱡ Ỻ: *Limão Taiti* = Lime *Limão Siciliano* = Lemon If you just say *Limão* people will assume you mean the most popular one ( Limão Taiti ) for that reason you need to say *Limão Siciliano* if you want lemon.
really tasty, but, to be honest, I don't see why it's called "brazilian lemonade", since, at least where in the region where I live in Brazil, I have never seen this kind of lemonade being so popular (although it is delicious)... Around here a "brazilian lemonade" would be just squeezed lemon + water + sugar + ice.
+Jess Rushworth (JessieRushie) we call limes and lemons the same name in Brazil. We differ the species of lemon and yes you can call it fancy limeade if you want.
is this supposed to be so bitter? i didn't like this at all! used extra sugar and condensed milk but the bitterness still wouldn't go, i had to throw it all away.
Love any recipe that you can use the whole fruit! Amazing summer drink!
We actually call it Swiss Lemonade in Brazil... :P
Melissa Prado and there is no coconut milk in it :)
paulaaquino nor condensed milk...
iufxx Condensed milk, I've seen. Coconut milk?! Not in Brazil.
iufxx I used I saw other used condensed milk in lemonade all the time. But never Coconut milk.
Yep! A Brazilian lemonade is usually just water, lemon and sugar... specially because it's easier to make hahaha
"Karen, why the hell are you pouring condensed milk onto the cutting board?"
"Aesthetic"
OMG!! I have all the ingredients including the Vitamix blender. As soon as I am finished watching this video, I will make one.
Thank you for the treat!!
Maria Bardo How is it?
Maria Bardo nice m8. ill have it some day too.
Tessa T Honestly, it was pretty good. I also tried with pineapple and mint, and I love it.
Remember when Tastemade cancelled their only good show for no reason.
As a brazilian, born and raised, I can sure say I've never seen a lemonade like this anywhere in Brazil.
Carolina Bernardi WRONG, this lemonade is extremely popular in Brazil, you must be from a weird part of the country.
Sorry, but I am brazilian too and I NEVER and EVER seen this before!!!
It's just lemon and water! JUST THIS! Sugar is optional!
Se você ė brasileiro sabe disso!
Concordo.
looks absolutely refreshing! God bless Brazil!
in the "tradicional" reciepe we don't use coconut milk or sugar, just limes, sweetened condensed milk and water and ice
Dora Dallanhol Amorim for those who can not have dairy, can we just add the coconut milk ?
moonlightontheriver YES! I use soymilk sometimes, which horrifies some people but it tastes good to me... haha
*****
lol..so i guess we can just add any dairy free milk that we choose...thanks
moonlightontheriver can't you find any dairy free sweetened condensed milk?
+Dora Dallanhol Amorim condensed milk is made from regular milk... So really coconut milk is best or soy. Maybe lactose free kind of they're intolerant

Funny that we call this Swiss (Switzerland) Lemonade here in Brasil.
José Moura

(Just noticed how confusing this comment looks xD)
Jimcrv we have the word "lima" too
Dora Dallanhol Amorim
I guess they made a little mistake on the intro in that case (:
Jimcrv we do have the word lima, but almost everyone doesn't know that our lemons are just limes, the original lemon we call it limão siciliano.
Jimcrv we use "lima" to name a kindd of orange "laranja lima"
Congratulations! Loved! As a Brazilian myself I never used coconut milk. But it would make it taste nice.

I made this yesterday but I cut the recipe in half and I didn't use the peels of the lime, there's no organic where I live. It tasted better than expected! It was sweet, refreshing, and tart! So good!
These videos are so well made
Looks yummy! :D
I love this recipe, very similar to our Colombian coconut limeade recipe.
these videos are a joy to watch
Hahahah love it! But the funniest thing about this lemonade here in Brazil is that we call it Limonada Suíça.. or! In english, Swiss Lemonade!! Hehe! Don't ask me why! And we normally don't use the coconut milk to make it ... Bur sure looks tasty though.. :)
The music is really relaxing
It's super awesome I first tried it at Fogo de Chao ..a Brazilian resturant ...and I've been making it ever since !!very good highly recommend
Scrumptious!!!
Just made this and it tastes AMAZING! Recommend everybody go try it!
This drink looks delicious.
That looks really good... especially during this mini heatwave! MMmmmM!
Beautiful recipe,a little calorie heavy for my current Macro needs but I bet it tastes incredible none the less.
We call this Swiss Lemonade. I never added coconut milk, but seems a good idea. Our Brazilian Lemonade its just water, sugar and lime/lemon. ;)
Nice video
Great that you can use the whole lime, have you tried it with anything else?
I am Brazilian and in 26 years of life I have NEVER have limped like this LOL
Not Brazilian but must be good anyway :)
First time I saw anyone blend a whole lime- skin and all into a drink was in Peru. And that lemon- well, more of a limeade was delicious.
Sounds amazing
OMG, THE DRINK VIDEOS ARE BACK!!! *HAPPY CRY* ❤❤❤❤
I like this. Limes are my favorite citrus
I definitely have to try this!
limonada is incredible indeed
Nice video, this lemonade is extremely popular in Brazil.
In Brazil I've always called lemons, lima
'Put the lime in the coconut' finally makes sense
I love Thirsty For so much, I like the video before it starts
I've never seen lemonade thickened with coconut milk instead of condensed milk (also not very common!) here in Brazil, but it sure looks nice :-) I'll give it a try!
This looks delightful! How much water do you use? (It is entirely possible that I simply missed this measurement while watching.)
This looks good and I'm sure I can add more condensed milk because I don't like the bitterness as much! But will see if I like it when I make it!
all these videos are so beautiful
This is perfect, and I will be making this!
I love this song! Do you mind sharing the title and artist? Thanks!
Wow . great drink.thank you dear.

Yum yummm i will definitely try it 💛💛💛
A bit more complex than the traditional drink here but still pretty nice!
Indeed
Very good but I'm pretty sure this lemonade is Russian, or at least that's how we call it in Brazil. When I first saw it I thought it'd be about caipirinha, which is an alcoholic drink with lime, but you made a lime juice and put condensed milk (something I've never done). Love the music.
looks like it would be really good with cachaca!
Would taste amazing as a cocktail spiked with some white rum ;)
just one thing... it's better to drink it right after you make it because as time goes by it gets increasingly bitter. The milk/condensed milk slows the process but it still happens.
Mmm, I'm thirsty!
Brazilian or Swiss that recipe looks delicious... =)
Hello, I was wondering if you could possibly show us, or if anyone in the comment section knows how to make the sweetened lime juice that you can find in Belize.
On an unrelated note, I like the music you guys used in the video.
I would like to know the title of it! :)
Love the drink buy what is the song, it's just a great relaxing tune :D
Vietnamese people have a similar recipe it's just lime juice, sweeten condensed milk and ice!
What is the name of the song in this video?
Brazilians sure do love their leite doce
i'm a brazilian and we call that "Limonada Suiça" or translating "Swiss lemonade", but i don't know if is a brazilian recipe or a swiss recipe...
how much water do you add when blending with the whole limes?
It looks tasty as hell and I wanna have it now, but as per the comments and my own experience, it's anything but Brazilian... oh, well, no harm done, I'll just take a sip and enjoy :)
Cassio Ruggeri Cons it's based on a Brazilian drink called swiss lemonade, we juat don't add coconut milk here :)
Lemon we call Silician Lemon (LImão Siciliano)
Lime we Call Tahiti Lemom, or Just lemom (Limão Taíti ou só Limão)
And this, we call Swiss Lemonade (Switzerland)
Actually we call this Swiss Lemonade here in Brazil, lol
what kind of lime is used for this bev?
Nunca fiz isso assim, hahaha
In ฿ ℝ Ⱥ ℤ ⱡ Ỻ:
*Limão Taiti* = Lime
*Limão Siciliano* = Lemon
If you just say *Limão* people will assume you mean the most popular one ( Limão Taiti ) for that reason you need to say *Limão Siciliano* if you want lemon.
really tasty, but, to be honest, I don't see why it's called "brazilian lemonade", since, at least where in the region where I live in Brazil, I have never seen this kind of lemonade being so popular (although it is delicious)... Around here a "brazilian lemonade" would be just squeezed lemon + water + sugar + ice.
thats a lime milkshake yo.
Qual o nome da música ?
when you knew about tastemade before sc 😉
Does anyone know the name to the song in the video? Please help! :)
+Sarah Pedroza 'Ciúme' by Carlos Lyra
whats the song in the video?
What kind of sugar is that
+cheyenne martinez It's brown sugar, but no difference with white
+CatsChannel LOL big difference, and that was raw sugar or cane sugar
Why is it only drinks on this channel now?
You killed it with coconut milk. Limonada suiça doesn't have coconut milk, peloamordedeus!
What's the song?
Anybody know the song?
***** Ciume - Carlos Lyra. It's from Brazilian Bossa Nova classics.
Thanks dude :)
***** are you crazy?
฿ ℝ Ⱥ ℤ ⱡ Ỻ™ Sorry for not being well versed in Brazilian music?
add 1 cup of cachaça or vodka, enjoy
Are organic limes a must? Can't you just wash off the pesticide if there is any?
i thought you just used condensed milk and limes? great vid tho!
Here in Brazil we call this kind of lemonade as "swiss lemonade", not brazilian. Lol
Does anyone know the name of the song?
rainepanda Ciume by Carlos Lyra
thank you A
Lime are called Lima
Limon are called Limão*
Donald T. Silva Lime=Limão taiti Lemon=Limão siciliano
Donald T. Silva Lima é outra coisa.
What's the name of the song? :)
I'm trying to figure that out too!
+Sarah Pedroza It's 'Ciume' by Carlos Lyra :)
Thank you so so much! :)
Só faltou uma cachaça.
Actually limes are called LIMA in Brasil
wait, I missed the part where this has lemons in it? isn't this just a fancy limeade?
+Jess Rushworth (JessieRushie) we call limes and lemons the same name in Brazil. We differ the species of lemon and yes you can call it fancy limeade if you want.
You say "your water" in both the video and the recipe, but fail to mention the amount of water that goes with the limes. A cup?
um, wouldn't this be limeaid not lemonaid.. ?
is this supposed to be so bitter? i didn't like this at all! used extra sugar and condensed milk but the bitterness still wouldn't go, i had to throw it all away.
