- I love long exposure and fine art photography. Over the last 2 weeks, I've photographed Pin mill and Osea beach huts to create so fine art photography. This is how I process my images in Lightroom and Photoshop

How I did it...
By watching Gary Gough. 😂
But seriously, cracking video mate. 👌🏻
Your not wrong 😁
My compliments on your ability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of adversity! Great video as always Steve!
Thanks Jim, it was a trial tbh
Very nice tutorial sir. You are blessed to have such beautiful locations in your relative area, love your photos. Thank you for sharing your post processing skills with us. I've found that other photographers with very similar styles as yours tend to only show their finished photos and don't get into the "nuts and bolts" details of how they actually post process their images to get to the final view, unless of course you pay for their courses. Well done on your part sir and thank you for sharing. Also nice to see other Sony shooters.
My pleasure and thank you for watching ❤️👍
Thanks for sharing your process Steve, fantastic, well worth the effort 👍
Thanks for watching mate
Nice one Steve. It's great to see how people use different techniques to achieve the same goal and also a great insight for those wishing to do a bit of fine art without prior knowledge on how to or where to start. Cracking final image mate. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching mate 👍
thanks Steve you taught this old man a lot tonight, ive just graduated over to digital, and getting my old head around photoshop and Lightroom
My pleasure mate 👍
Well done Steve. Many thanks for your efforts.
Not a problem thank you
Super work Steve, and thank you for sharing with us your processing , a lot of work for you , but what a difference , just chalk and cheese
Thanks for watching and hope it’s helps in some way
Brilliant video Steve, very informative, great to see how you edited those images. Thanks for taking the time to do it.. Images are quality..
Paddy....
Thanks Paddy 👍
Great to see how you achieve the final image.. very well explained 👍👍
Thanks Pat 👍
Fantastic video Steve really liked to see how you edited these pin mill images. Really liked the fog technique, it worked really well finishing the blending of the sky and water, think I'll call it the 'Stain effect' 😉 The final image was superb mate 👌
I like that lol, thanks for watching mate, much appreciated
Thanks for the detailed tutorial, Steve! I am someone who dreads using Photoshop. But your use of traditional mouse and menu style has pumped in a bit of confidence in me to go ahead and try my hand at PS.
That’s brilliant, check out my YourRaw videos they should help to too, have a great day
Fantastic mate, look forward to future editing videos, picked up a few tips, interesting to see the different ways we go about editing 👍
There more that one way to skin a rabbit, as my mother used to say 😁
@@Stainphotography I was always told cat hahaha, but then wonder to myself why I'd want to skin a cat? 😂
Excellent 🙏 thank you
Thanks for watching
Nice one Mr, very informative 😉👍🏻
Thanks mate
Cheers Steve, I found that really informative & quite inspirational that i now want to whizz up the A12 to Ipswich with the camera & try this out myself. Lots of tools there i never really knew how to use before, looking forward to what your future videos will contain.
That’s brilliant, thank you
Good tutorial Steve. Some great tips in there. Just wondering... would you consider using the selection tools (object, quick or polyganol) to constrain where your brush is going? I;ve found that useful (although I've rarely done the editing to the extent you did here. Also an interesting tip on the dehaze tool to see spots. I tend to just turn on visualise spots on the healing brush but always good to have some different ideas. Thanks for sharing and the final image was superb
That’s for watching Ralph, like the selection tool idea and would work well
Thanks Stan. I do most of that but learnt a couple of new tricks. Might have another play in the coming days. Thanks
That’s great and what it’s all about, that’s for watching mate 👍
@@Stainphotography keep doing this Steve it’s great.
@@paulwbakerphotography will do mate
excellent vidio steve, did not realise there was so much work ,patience, and technique, involved to get the final results,I have only recently started using photoshop, and just about getting my head around producing stacking images to get a overhaul from front to back sharp image, I think it is going to be some time for me to be able to achieve what you are doing mate, but brilliant to watch your processing,i will hopefully get there one day.
My advice is just keep trying, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Great video Steve. Just found your channel and this technique is something that just transforms the image.
Thanks for sharing 👍 new subscriber here.
That’s brilliant thank you and hope you enjoy the channel going forward ❤️👍📸
great video Stan
Thanks Lee 👍
Inspiring! Thank you 👍
Thank you 👍
Hiya Steve what a brilliant vlog you've done something I've been hoping to learn for yonks.
I've taken away how to do straight lines (the mast and rigging) to make them stand out I'm well chuffed all the best fella cheers Mike.
That’s brilliant 👍
Thanks for posting this excellent video! I was desperate to find a video explaining how to do this! I’ve got some shots of pin mill but I’m not very good with photoshop and wanted to edit them as fine art but couldn’t figure out how to use photoshop to remove the far bank on the horizon, I’ll be trying to copy what you’ve succinctly explained step by step (probably even the bits you deleted 😂). I was pointed towards your channel by Paul W Baker after commenting on his vlog of a photoshoot at pin mill! Thanks once again I’ll let you know how I get on
That’s brilliant, hope it helps you out, if you need any help let me know, I do offer online tutorials but that should help you hopefully 👍
Thanks Steve I just have one question. When you save your image from photoshop what settings do you use to send it back to lightroom?
@@ianmcdonald9885 just press save it sends it in Lightroom as a tiff automatically
Thanks Steve, I've always wanted to know how this was done ...something to do on a rainy day and we get plenty of those in Snowdonia..
Definitely mate, made even easier now with generative fill
hi did you visit these boat 6 months ago ---- i wonder if the masts are still standing ? Thanks
It was February of this year I think 👍
What size are those prints and what printer do you use please ❤
The prints are a4 and the printer is a Epson x900 👍
@@Stainphotography thank you very much mate there fantastic
I wish the resolution was better. Maybe it's my connection.
That’s a shame, I’m sure it is the connection
sorry first part couldn’t understand last was ok
That’s a shame, sorry about that
Hi Steve i love they way you do the process just couldn’t folow the first half will pay it again 👍@@Stainphotography
@@johnsimpson-wb1kq cool, if I can I will try and help you 👍
oh no another Gary Gough thinking this is photography. It isnt. Fine art doesnt mean you can manipulate something to death so it no longer has any resemblance to the original. Its not photographically. Manipulation Art.
We all have an opinion, thanks for watching and appreciate your thoughts ❤️👍
Great job!
Thanks 👍
