Figure Rise Standard Amplified Machinedramon Review

- Review of the Figure Rise Standard Amplified Machinedramon from the Digimon anime series. For the first time we got a model kit of the enemy digimon from the line and the kit has been made very well. The kit itself is tall and bulky and yet the joints are very stable thanks to the semi ratchet joints. A lot of people were complaining about the size before release but i can assure that the kit is MUCH BIGGER than the previous wargreymon and metal garumon kit. The articulation on certain areas might be limited due to the structure but the character itself never had a dynamic moving design so its all fine. One of my favorite digimon kit so far.

My brain being snapped back to 1999 by seeing this, when playing Digimon World 1.
"I want this"
I will never forget how he was supposed to be the single Digimon who was 100% human created out of pure machinery.
assembled from various parts they created on other Digimon as prototypes. (Metalgreymon, Metalmamemon and so on)
Machinedramon being that singular being capable of going beyond the "perfect" level (Ultimate level), that was the pinnacle of Digimon evolution at the time.
He's the OG badass from the series.
Ah, the once king of cyborg Digimons.
Fancy looking.
Imo he’s still king, def the coolest.
The kit is actually capable of the extreme ab crunch but you have to attach the chest pieces with the joint semi extended.
I really want a Jesmon. The outlier within the Royal Knights.
His Un Pour Tous attack is AMAZING Second to "Collapsing Star, Roaring Cannon" attack by Boros in OPM.
now I that Mugendramon got a model kit, I want a Beelzebumon blast mode kit
And Seraphimon
@@quzarsongolas1081 AngeWomon, LadyDevimon and Mastemon would bring big bucks if they were to be produced.
I would pre-order a beelzebumon today if it was available
Rather have Alphamon
@@gudakoalter those fit more in Figurarts line
The left claw arm is heavier than the right arm, so sometimes balancing the kit might get tricky. Also the main reason why the right arm kept popping off on mine.
thanks for pointing this out!
I'm thinking of getting this kit, what would be the best way to stop the arm falling off?
@@halapenopepper a little bit of glue i guess. Or you could paint the main peg
I am in the process of building this figure in my free time but I screwed up cutting the lead wire too short because I forgot to add one little spine piece. So now I have to look for a replacement lead cable piece so I'm gonna check home depot after work tommorrow but if I can' find the cable there I don't know where to go next.
I wanna see Bandai make Milleniummon. That would be something.
Also, for some reason the knees remind me of Metal Etemon's head.
The heads on the knees is actually from Andromon's
@@lancerotalucardhd8793 Yeap. I know that already. All I'm saying is that they remind me of metal etemon.
@@DarkROSkull013 That's really odd but since Andromon isn't a outstanding character in the series i doubt Bandai will make an amplified version of him,i wish an amplified version of DarkKnightmon would be sick tho.
@@lancerotalucardhd8793 Yeap. I doubt they'd go for those characters. An Amplified Cherrymon. Hehe. As for me, either an Amplified Millenniummon, or Samurdramon, or anybody from Kowloon Corp would do.
Danmnn.... i hope they do metalseadramon next.
I hope if they do they include a base for it. This one for it's price I really wish came with a base, but Metalseadramon would kinda need one.
Just build mine yesterday.
Was fun, but unfortunately I'm slightly disappointed in some parts, his right claw's just connect well, so they are prone to falling out when you adjust them.
and the red "lasers" on top of his canons are not attached to anything, so aiming the canons down will just have them falling out of their place.
Attaching the end of his tail is also a big problem.
Its a shame that so many parts of the build fit so well, and are designed to "stick", but those 3 parts just fall off and have no means of securing them properly. (save for glue I guess)
Hopefully they do the other 3 dark masters
Thankfully the small sticker sheet is a nice thing
Machinedramon reminds me of the killer dino robot from the 1994 movie Death Machine they look very similar minus the backpack
Still trying to start blackwargreymon.... something about these are off putting and jarring.
Thanks for posting this
Can anyone tell me what the following Polycaps are for?
PC2, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10
I've been looking everywhere to see where they're used, but no luck. I'm still fairly new to models in general, so I'd like some help to figure this out.
They are just leftover parts. Model kits tend to use the same polycap plates hence certain kits dont use all of them.
@@marasai426 Fair enough. Is there any reason I could use them? Like, for a specific kit or something? Cause I am planning on getting MetalGarurumon, WarGreymon, and Alphamon (When it comes out).
@@alpacinoisking123 up to you. Throw them away, keep it for spare parts in case you lose a part from a different kit etc. They are leftovers
I kind of messed up one of the silver stickers on his cheeks. I'm considering getting rid of them altogether. How necessary would you say they are?
Not too necessary since the clear red parts are pretty dark
@@marasai426 i took off the stickers, im much more satisfied with it now.
Stickers on gunpla never look good
@@hahahahahohohoho5085 at least the stickers on this kit are mostly covered up by clear pieces so its manageable. Good thing it worked out for you
Do u recommend top coating or panel lining it?
Can you change the position of the arm? Left arm become right arm, and right arm become left arm?
Yes. They got the same connections
shit, now i wanna buy 2 of this kit so i can make machinegigadramon
JP and in my country calls him Mugendramon
do you know which action base 4 this kit uses? 1/100 or 1/144?
This is a big kit. But at the same time not sure if youll need one. If you want this airborne then 1/100 but as a support for standing up then 1/144
@@marasai426 thanks
Machinedramon was a dark digivolution
Also if you ask about the size, that means you did not watch the review properly. And no i will not measure the exact length since there are multiple stuff that I need to take into account.
Omegamon is the same kit from before.
thats surprising
Huh?
@@marasai426 it's pretty much the same but different for some parts like the head, the chest. the cape is the same but different material(somewhat clear red instead of solid red like the old one)
That's why it's crap and I wouldn't buy it.
Those lead wires are a pain in the ass.
They were a tad bit annoying
of all amplified digimons to make the list, machinedramon is in lol who would've thought :P
Had to reward Bandai for the move so I bought one.
@@wulf8889 if that’s the case, then bring in the dark masters entirely! I want to see metalseadramon amplified!
It's nice to have extra cash.
This is a main digivilution for agumom on the reboot
