Saturday morning 4AM, I'm on acid and goddamn this clip was a trip. The side profile shots of Simon - just the right upkick of intensity and elegance, 9:00 hit different. The score, even the AI visuals, of which I do not generally care for, alas were captivating. Now to my spot of bother, not embedding subtitles is doing a SERIOUS disservice to the crafts of the writers, Simon shoots with such eloquent efficiency that I fear much of the language might be missed or at the very least, go unappreciated. Isn't it true humans can generally read faster with better comprehension than we are able to hear or listen? I see you. Just a thought. Damn, what a symphony delivered this was though
@@giselematthews7949 I wrote a chat bot program that extensively uses AI to not only generate multiple characters to interact with at the same time but, obviously, uses AI for the chat sessions. @@MonkeySimius Dude, calm down. Nobody is saying AI is just terrible period. And nobody is attacking you personally. What people are objecting to is the use of poorly-done obvious AI images for b-roll, particularly when there are public domain photographs of the stuff being talked about. It looks cheap and probably means someone in the Simon Whistler production line lost a job recently. People expect a higher standard from this team.
Yeah I've had about enough of it. I came here for the real, historical stuff. If there's no pictures just let us look at Simon while he talks about it. There's plenty of documentation on stuff like this, that it feels lazy and unnecessary. It's not what I come here for.
AI pictures REALLY lower the quality of this channel. I’ve complained about this before on this channel. Maybe whoever does this part doesn’t care about quality. I’ll just listen to it from now on.
Some of y'all are way to sensitive and probably should step away from the internet for a bit. This group has many channels and millions of viewers that they supply lengthy information to and a few AI pictures have you acting like a toddler that didn't get the cookie you want.
Nope, there are plenty of other images that could be put in place. Once you are using AI photos it's easy to slip to "let's just spice this up a bit". You could, even unintentionally, convey something really problematic. Especially as AI is still at the point of sticking random things all over.
Far i have seen from documentaries & co The change of the meeting from the Bunker to the wooden hut at an earlier hour, unabled Srauffenberg of activating both bombs and he decided not to put both in the briefcase, he dumped the inactivated 1 after leaving the complex while being taken to the nearby aerodrome(that bomb was later found). If he had left both bombs together in the briefcase, the implosion of the 1st would have ignited the 2nd and the outcome would probably have been different.
Oh. Is THAT why a new "channel I've never heard of" started popping up in my sidebar? Bad move on their part. There's so much bad info in war-related content that I have a high bar for starting to watch what I believe to be something new in that area.

In a case like this I don't see why people have an issue with the use of AI created images. It's not like they're going to pay if they used real photos, nor are they going to pay someone to create images like the ones shown and it's probably impossible to find images that would help tell the story as the ones used do, especially as I said they're not going to pay anyway. So it's not like them using ai images in their videos is taking work from anyone and honestly other than that why care. Because ai doesn’t search for photos, it cobbles together an image based on a prompt. There are many images taken by news outlets and periodicals that can be included under fair use. Images that convey reality. Which seems like a key component of an educational channel

A lot of what you have said is incorrect. You should watch the BBC documentary called, Nazis A warning from History. It talks about people who were there and knew him. He was not a ‘tenacious leader, who worked tirelessly to attain his goals.’ But a lazy, malevolent narcissist, who sat watching movies, while everyone else did his bidding. Whilst looking at plans for his building projects, for the new Germany. Normally your work is acutely detailed, but this one is not. Sorry, but I must take issue with this.

From what I've read, he was tenacious at the start--in the 30s when he was clawing his way upwards. I have no doubt he was still a malevolent narcissist though, heh. I don't know the full timeframe of his descent into the delusional, flatulent and Parkinson's-riddled genital wart that did the only useful thing he'd ever done in his life by blowing his own brains out under Berlin, but I assume he was well on the way by '41.
While I think the subject matter is fascinating, I really don't like the use of AI images because it's not like there's a lack of images from World War 2.

I'm surprised that there wasn't any mention of the 2008 movie "Valkyrie". Especially since Tom Cruise played Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg.
