I agree, you know what would’ve been so cool. Have the Spirit of Fire show up at the end of Infinite’s campaign, Chief and the marines left are on the verge of being killed when the Spirit breaks through the clouds as we cut to Jerome-092 in the driver seat of a Grizzly, possibly with Johnson. Imagine that.
Hello, i know this channel is dedicated to Halo but would you consider covering the engeenering and technology of The Expanse? I have a feeling you’ll find the franchise most intriguing.
If they make a Halo Wars 3, they could make it so the Spirit of Fire discovers Johnson in a forerunner medical facility in stasis after Mendicant Bias teleports him to the Ark where Lifeworker Huragok heals him and from that point Johnson comes back and replaces Sgt Forge(RIP) and considering his history he would be a great addition to a stranded Spirit of Fire, everything from his being a Spartan 1 to mentoring the Spartan IIs during Silent Storm to his part in the OG Halo trilogy. He "died" in Halo 3, would be poetic for him to come back in Halo Wars 3. The idea of him replacing Forge and then working hand in hand with Red Team who he should know from Operation Silent Shadow would be mind blowing.
@enrgys_world I want Johnson back too, but for what it’s worth Palmer is supposed to be jarring, we were expecting a Spartan and while Palmer is a Spartan, her first line is supposed to show the difference between the 4’s and 2’s, namely that she’s a normal person not a traumatised child soldier. It’s a good bit of subtextual storytelling.
If this does happen... This is how I would like the first exchange between Chief and Johnson to go. Chief: *Sees movement coming from a cave or some other hideaway. Raises assault rifle.* Johnson: *Speaking from the cave* "Chief? Is that you?" Chief: Johnson? How? I Watched you die." Johnson: *Steps into the light, gray haired and grizzled* " Turns out, I'm as stubborn as you are."
He had this almost exact convo in First Strike when Chief accused him of being infected by the Flood. Would be poetic to return to form with a similar scene.

Just a alternative thought. Johnson upon being teleported to another facility for recovery by the life workers. The life workers upon identifying him as human would likely also see his Project Orion Augmentation possibly identifying it as an incomplete attempt at the same augmentations done to the ancient humans. The life workers could “complete” his transformation making him an ancient Spartan and equip him with a battle skin.
@@malcolmsaint I can’t remember, has the Boren’s syndrome (scrambling of the central nervous system due to survival of close proximity detonation of a plasma grenade) explanation for his immunity been retconned too?
@@jonathans44 borens syndrome was used as a cover up for the spartan 1s to "explain" why their nervous system and what not was mildly different from a normal humans, it was never the "reason" iirc
Indeed there is much potential possibility for Johnson to return to Halo. Contact Harvest prequal game being the main one, but thanks to Mendicant, the door is open for him to return in the 2560s era as well.
In the words of the man himself: Sgt. Johnson: "Dear 343, I hope you brought enough popcorn because I'm about to give you a masterclass in kicking butt!"
I'm surprised no one has brought up the possibility of AI Johnson. I know Cortana is the only known instance of a clone's brain being scanned to create an AI, but there's always a chance with him being an Orion candidates that they cloned him for organ transplants if he was injured in the field. We also have instances of AI kinda holding onto their prior mannerisms as humans, like black box and governor Sloan.
Or, you know, having Mendicant Bias do it. Brain Scans don't retain the original's memory, but the Forerunner process does, and in fact needs to partition that data away. Having Johnson in The Domain means that he could have met Rampency!Cortana, and wouldn't THAT be some lovely drama to mine.
So I was watching the Autopsy video and got this idea, Interrogations. The UNSC did take prisoners of war, and one thing you usually do with POWs is to interrogate them. Sure they would not be cooperative but it could be interesting. Or you can do it post war, more like an interview. That way the audience gets the information about for example Sangheli culture from a first hand source in universe. I really like Mgalekgolos and since they don't actively hate humanity (generally) they could be a suitable interrogation subject. Though capturing one would be hard, and if their bond brother was killed I doubt they would be cooperative. Just a thought
I'm so happy to see more Halo content creators jumping onto the "so much lore, so many possibilities for different games of different genres!" bandwagon :D I've been screaming it at least internally for years
Quite frankly, the lore IS there. I haven't read Ghosts of Onyx in a while but wasn't there a squad of Spartan 3s that got saved by some Onyx Sentinels? Considering how Mendicant Bias was following us throughout Halo 3 I could see Mendicant Bias snatching him prior to the place exploding and putting him into a stasis bubble. (I'm writing this just as I'm getting to this point in your video, same ideas it seems!) Johnson coming back in the proper way, and at the right time, could mean EVERYTHING for the universe. Seeing him being dropped from the SoF into a dire battle in his HW2 suit, flanked by a few colossus and saying something snappy/reminiscent would bring a euphoria like no other.
If memory serves I think it was all of gamma company those two from the prologue of the book and a handful of others from one or two other companies it's been awhile since I read it too 🤔
Yes. It has been a few years but I do recall that Katana Team (One of the other Gamma company squads onboard during the training exercise) along side Saber Team (Olivia, Ash, and Co. Squad) and Katana. Gladius team was wiped out, all KIA. Meanwhile Katana were injured, but the Huragok put them in Slipspace Field Pods, which are more advanced Cryo Chambers that trap a target in a field of compressed slipspace that protects users from harm from events in "normal" space and also causes time to pass much slower for the occupants. It is possible he could've been put in Stasus and he would've been fine, and even Katana Team while in the Slipspace Chambers were capable of being transported through portals, so it was possible he could've been shipped off the Ark, or to a different part of it. And then the Healer Huragok's could come in and heal them at their leisure, and either they wake him up after his healing, or they put him back in status until the Banished arrive or the Spirit of Fire Arrives Side Note: Forerunner's applications of Slipspace is truly fascinating. Not only they were able to cross small distances in an instant, they could cross the Galaxy in less than a week (Can't remember the exact timeframe). But they also could use Slipspace in small fields as stasis fields, as well as compress a solar system sized space to be only the size of a football in realspace, and filled that solar system sized void with shit and basically make a planet the size of a solar system. It would be even more hilarious if like the Slipspace Pods, they could just portal around with an entire Solar System Sized Planet contained in their pocket. You can't tell me they don't have Pocket Dimension Backpacks like Doomguy/Doomslayer. Just a fucking dimension of shit they keep in there so they don't have to cart it around, they legit given the amount of mass they can fit in a football sized field, could carry personal Starships and other vehicles with them, as well as an entire armory filled with Plasma, Hardlight, and other various highly advanced weaponry. No wonder Ancient Humanity lost, imagine you are fighting a Forerunner Warrior Servant, and he pulls 100s of fucking weapons, a War Sphinx, and a tank. What the fuck do you do in that Scenario? They legit could keep Huragok in their pocket! Pocket Healer!
Imagine helping another fireteam in later Infinite campaign, and there's Johnson holding it down with his team waiting on reinforcement as Banished units close in.
johnson, as a very healthy orion candidate, most likely has cat2 genes. this, combined with his orion augmentations would basicly mean his combined augs would be spartan 2 level, as well as his genes and experience. johnson as a spartan "5" (4+1) would be on par with spartan 2's.
Yea no way, late age augmentations to match Spartan 2. I think its one of those situations where you move on. Sargent Johnson walked around with catchy lines. He is not a main character. Just filled the story points to have something other than a robot talk to Master Chief.
@@1014p as one of the few spartan 1 successes he has spartan 2 candidate genes most likely. and his spartan 1 plus the spartan 4 augs should stack to be close to spartan 2 augs.
Very interesting and plausible theory. Ever since playing Halo 3 way back I always wondered if it could have been possible Mendicant Bias could have somehow intervened with Johnson surviving and thus returning at some point. As you too mentioned, I had noticed that as grievous the attack and injury *looked,* the armor didn't seem to be fully pierced. And hoo boy, if Sergeant Johnson did indeed return as a SPARTAN-IV, my jaw would hit the floor (so long as it's written well and makes sense). I think I'd have to pause the game a bit and take a breath for real man... 😭😭
Give us a prequel game in the 2530s. Play as Johnson during the massacre of the Outer Colonies, trying to live through the opening years of the War while you keep your Marine buddies alive. Imagine a scene where you and Jenkins and other Marines and Army troopers are desperately trying to hold an evac, and suddenly a whole squad of early Spartan-IIs come in and stomp the Covenant assaulting you.
Hell, I'd even be thrilled to see Johnson be in the lore moving forwards as his Halo Wars 2 self, it'd be especially fun if we got to play as him rather than Chief for once, perhaps even based with the Spirit Of Fire, getting to see it in first person for the first time, experiencing it beyond the cutscenes.
I'm still waiting for my game to go over the life and time of Johnson something that takes things from Titanfall 2, Halo ODST and Medal Of Honour with some elements from Star Wars Republic Commando to go over everything that happened to him and everything he did. Maybe each game can go through a different era of his life from the very beginning to the end.
I can't believe I actually believe this. I absolutely loved Johnson and was heartbroken when he died in Halo 3, I sorta feared if they brought him back because it meant there would be more retconning and that 343 might write him differently. But I admit, if this is possible then I'm actually hopeful he comes back, if there's one void Johnson filled, it was the badass and humour void, and he did a hell of a job at it. We've been missing that for so long and maybe there's a chance to bring it back.
The one issue i see with putting Johnson through another augmentation program is that he's considerably old by soldier and especially spartan metrics. Plus the flood infection he was able to fend off definitely would make him a very... challenging subject to undergo the spartan-IV augmentation process, even without taking into account that he already has had one augmentation process performed on him. Sure, if we talk about badass factor, he'll make it because that's what he does, but realistically speaking, why would the UNSC, or even humanity altogether risk losing him again through such a tricky operation? He is unique in more than one way and while I see him being useful still in the future, i don't think doubling down on the augmentations is the way to make the most out of him.
Honestly, you have a solid argument and have provided all the reason for Johnson to return. If they provided even just a short cutscene with Johnson explaining what happened, I think it would sell. Making him a Spartan IV as well, definitely the right choice.
As much as I would like to see Johnson, if he had returned in halo 4 the response would have been people complaining about 343 watering down his sacrifice, not celebrating his return.
I agree. Bringing him back in a canon capacity in the current date in-universe is a terrible idea. I'd love to see him in a prequel, but anything else it just stupid.
I'm as torn as HiddenXperia is. I feel like bringing him back could be a contrivance, but it's also a contrivance I would want. However I would rather him stay a marine or an ODST than a Spartan IV, because there's as been a very noticeable lack of significant UNSC presence in the classic way we got them. The marines on Zeta need a Sargent-Major, or hell, make him a Lt-Colonel. He deserves a upgrade in rank. I had my own Theory as to how this could be pulled off, but it requires some Office of Naval Intelligence clandestine stuff going on. What if there was a ONI operator or few shadowing Chief and Arbiter? They would have good reason to since they won't trust the elites. So here's my suggestion, they recover him, a Spartan-I is an asset to them, and this may or may not compromise his secret resistance to the flood becoming known to ONI, so what if, they give him other augmentations and basically Adam Jensen him? He's now back, leading a team of badass ODST's. For now though, he's in my Xcom 2 campaign.
7:48 Also, Linda had his head half melted in TFoR and Halsey, who's not a medic, bring her back to live a couple weeks later on a bunker while under siege and no assistants. I'm pretty sure Forerunner medicine can do necromancy.
An ODST style campaign where you play as Stg. Johnson through his whole military career and his survival of Halo 3 to reuniting with Master Chief would be awesome.
A game about the CMA vs the insurrection movement with original Orion project candidates in action. Highlighting their procedures units power armor etcetera and a Segway into them currently especially the 1.1's
12:56 While that is an interesting idea; is it feasible to Re - Augment an existing spartan in such a way? I mean the cybernetic implants and bio - fabricated organs are one thing that is undoubtedly possible. But are the neurological, genetic, and hormonal procedures capable of being implemented on a human whose nervous system has already been altered in the way that the Orion Phase II Super Soldiers were altered. I am not saying his baseline augmentations can't be tweaked slightly as we know from the Hellcat Class Mjolnir compatible Spartan IV that such a thing is possible.
Yes, in stories like Halo, it is pretty much always possible to find some reason to revive characters who died an emotionally impactful on-screen death. That does not mean you should do it. If Halo creatives want to by all means they should "bring him back" in prequels. They can even do a quirky marvel moment and have him "killed" in the prequel, having him remark on how hard it is to actually kill him.
Everyone loves Johnson, and sees him as a true Spartan. Everyone hates the IVs, and consider them not worthy of being Spartans. They are the same. Both augmented as adults. Both spitting banter and talkative. Both professional and take care of business when crap hits the fan. You can't have it both ways...
Here’s my dilemma. Other than 343 utterly keeping a masterpiece alive after bungie passed the torch.. 343 have been throwing different “johnsons” our way in a way to not mimic but show hey this is our sgt johnson. I think first it was Palmer, then it’s this spartan argur something can’t remember her name cause that’s how low impacting she was as a character introduced. And even seeing if she would be reoccurring like Palmer, it isn’t as real or flesh out like Johnson. I just wish bungie still had halo and halo 1-3 could continue the nostalgic way.
Halo wars 3 during a mission you get a unarthorized transmission on old UNSC frequencies and its mostly garbled but you hear "Dear Humanity" next mission you investigate said signal and when you discover it its Johnson who say "Dear Humanity, took you long enough."
I like fanfics and a lot of them have characters like noble 6 somehow suriving their death, so i alwaulys had this idea of an oni skunk works team that didn't exist. A 4 man team where all tge members are dead. Johnson, noble 6, and the rookie and a dead sparran two. Never new who the s2 would be. The idea was to essentially have a team of all 4 generations of Spartans.
For the SII, you could use 034 Samuel. More is known about him than the majority of the other SIIs outside of Blue Team, Red Team, Grey Team, & Jorge. He was also the first SII to die in combat against the Covenant. I believe he was known as the strongest physically of that generation. 051 Kurt is also a good option since he bridged the SII & SIII projects.
A Halo game with Johnson as the main character hell yeah I'd play that but Johnson coming out in Halo 4 with Lasky and the others wouldn't have worked cause Johnson ain't going to wear no helmet he'll have his armor his hat and a cigar we would have seen the Embers on the cigar would have been too much of a giveaway lol
"Master Chief." "Sergeant. MJOLNIR looks good on you." "Anything looks good on me, Master Chief," the newly minted Spartan-IV said with a smirk before he reached down and grabbed his cigar with the utmost care.
I absolutely love Johnsons character, and as such, I think it would be a great disservice to his character if he is brought back. It diminishes his heroic sacrifice. He was there when humanity and the covenant first made contact, and his actions (and therefore his sacrifice) brought an end to the human covenant war. He should remain at peace, at least with concerns to post-Halo 3 timeline games.
Personally I think bringing him back would diminish the weight of his death almost entirely, that being said I got goosebumps when you talked about him returning in Halo 4 and reuniting with Chief. Since that opportunity has passed I thought it would be cool to bring him back in Halo Wars 3 in a cutscene where Red Team infiltrates a banished structure to find Johnson alive and being held captive. I see it in my head as a mix between the first contact with Aatriox in Halo Wars 2 and Chief finding Griffin in Infinite. I really like the idea you mentioned of The Spirit of Fire appearing at Zeta Halo at the end of Infinite because after Anders re-entered the galaxy I would imagine the crew of The Spirit of Fire would want to find her and Johnson with his knowledge of the rings and the Ark would be the perfect person to show Isabel how to open the portal back to the galaxy to save Anders and group with the rest of the UNSC to fight The Banished, replenished and upgraded with tech developed in the time they have been gone. I was also a HUGE fan of the idea of Chief being with Johnson as he underwent the Spartan 4 augmentations. Loved the video, best Halo channel IMO.
You're also forgetting the enhanced healing factor Johnson inherited from the attempted Flood assimilation too. His healing factor may have stabilized him enough so that he didn't die until he could be properly treated by a Lifeworker Huragok.
Spartan Linda-058... As they jumped out of their Pelican to open the bay doors, she was hit by several overcharged bolts from plasma pistols and plasma rifles, which penetrated her armor and flesh all the way to the carbonized bone. One of the globules of plasma hit her in the back of the skull. Linda was recovered by John, but her vitals flatlined, and she was presumed dead. She was clinically deceased through the entire Halo Installation 04 Campaign. After returning to Reach and reestablishing contact with Blue Team & Dr Halsey, Dr Halsey ended up performing surgery on Linda, transplanting to her newly flash-cloned kidneys and liver, which needed to be replaced due to her injuries. The operation was successful and Linda survived, but Doctor Halsey said it would be at least a week before she should even get out of bed; however, Linda disregarded this due to the imminent threat to Earth and seemed to recover at least enough to go on a mission within a few days. Johnson could've been teleported to another part of the Ark and repaired.
I honestly reckon it would be better and easier to just have a brain scan of Johnson in his prime, turn him into an AI and have him as a trainer AI for all the new recruits and trainees, while having MasterChief reminisce everytime he runs into a Johnson AI who continues to be his character with all the funny quips and personality, it would be a good send off and would open up the chance for spin offs with the Johnson AI and chief completing missions together.
You might have missed a huge part of Johnston's lore that could have helped with his survival and recovery the fact that the man has flood super cells coursing through his veins.
@@mnrvaprjct in Halo CE Sergeant Johnson came very close to being infected by the flood. So close that Master Chief pulled a gun on him after the events of the game when Master Chief and Cortana met up with a shipped that happen to have Sergeant Johnson and a few others on board. Cortana had to convince Master Chief not to shoot him. A while later doctor Halsey ran tests on his blood and found that he had dormant flood supercells in him. Or something like that.
We need a Sgt Johnson video game series, as well as a game playing as a grunt who is participating in the invasion of earth during the events of Halo 2 and 3
The Spirit Of Fire doesn't have a slipspace drive, so it would need to reach Zeta in a similar fashion to how it reached The Ark. This is actually a good thing, because it would require The Spirit Of Fire to source a replacement, perhaps from a UNSC ship that has otherwise already been destroyed. Yes, I propose that The Spirit Of Fire shows up for some reason, learns that survivors are trapped on Zeta, decides to stick it out since Cutter wouldn't run like Lasky, has to fend off Banished ships while the hulk formerly known as The Infinity is pilfered for tech upgrades, and then can either make a tactical retreat to incorporate the new Mac guns and other toys once all contactable UNSC forces on the ring are evacuated and the slipspace drive is installed. We now have the outline for an entire game, a better send off of the Infinity than it ever deserved, a way to reestablish the original UNSC's doctrine and spine, and a way to bring Johnson in his Halo Wars 2 suit back into Chief's narrative. As an added bonus, The Spirit Of Fire, a ship with history and fans, would be vying for position of most powerful and influential ship in the UNSC, after upgrading with the Infinity's remains and some hardware excuse for there being zero connection to forerunner technology is slapped on.
Cloning is a thing they could bring him back that way seeing how he was in two places at the same time during halo 2 and odst, how he was a dlc character for halo wars 2, how he spawns in when you kill enough unsc at the pelican mission during halo 4 and how he survived the destruction of the first discovered halo even though he was blown up.
I think it may have been HX, but i like the idea that Jorge may have survived the slipspace blast.. if he put his helmet back on right before the blast.. and that he might have woken up in the other half of the covenant cruiser..
It should be noted…Johnson _is_ a playable leader in Halo Wars 2. His unique quirk is that his units are based around mechs, like Mantises. But the thing is…Johnson’s Hero Unit *_is Johnson._* I mean sure, its Johnson wearing a mech suit not unlike that of a Cyclops, but it _is_ Johnson.
I’ve always felt that if a certain character has died in a good fashion, then they should stay dead. Remember how Cortana “died”? It was such an emotional scene because she’s been with us since the start (like Johnson) and she was such a big personality that we all grew to love. It was perfect because she sacrificed herself to save the Chief. But then… well then they brought her back, as a villain, no less. My point is that if they keep bringing back dead characters, it kinda makes death a bit meaningless, doesn’t it? Now obviously as you’ve described in this video it’s absolutely possible for Johnson to come back. But just because he can, doesn’t necessarily mean that he *should*. I love Johnson. He’s honestly my favourite Halo character alongside Chief. That’s why I feel like if they brought him back, it would be doing him a disservice, in a way. Plus idk what David Scully is doing nowadays… haven’t heard a peep out of him so even IF they brought him back… it would maybe have to be a different voice actor. I think the only way you could bring him back into the franchise without ruining his sacrifice is to have him appear in spin offs and prequels.
For the record, I don't speak for oni's reaction to the following possibility: One way to bring him back at least in spirit, could say he had a son/daughter who took after him a lot (obviously from prior to his orion augmentation). Of course they could still be their own person, don't get me wrong. Hell, perhaps chief could even make a couple comments on it like "your dad would be proud" or something similar. Just a thought
A game following Sgt Johnson and Mendicant bias similarly to Chief/Cortana would be cool. Maybe Johnson needed cybernetics (as he couldn’t be fully saved by Mendicant) and/or is suffering from PTSD Actually touched on in (Contact Harvest). Additionally Mendicant could have also suffered negative effects from his “exile”, maybe being a bit crazy and/or just being really passive or shy. This is aside from whatever the major plot point would be.
I will kill some of that enthusiasm. I don't remember if it was Generalkidd or Rocket Sloth but I remember one of them showed the model for Johnson has a massive hole in it from where he got shot. You can't see it in game as he lays on his back and honestly it's more amazing he isn't dead instantly with it being nearly center mass. I think it's more likely Chief and Arbiter survived the same shots as they have shields which Johnson did not. We even see Chief's flare up after being hit.
abt johnson's entrance, i think it would be cooler he appearing in a boss fight cutscene, the boss is abt to kill chief when he gets hit by a spartan lazer shot, and we a close shot on the lazer then turns to show johnson's while he says something badass
I said it before in Hiddenxperia's video and I'll say it again, I think Johnson should just stay dead. I don't mind him appearing in prequels and spin-off's kinda like how he was playable in ODST's firefight, a voice in Reach, a DLC character in Halo Wars 2, I'm still surprise he hasn't become an AI in Halo Infinite yet. He might be dead but that doesn't mean they can't stop using him.
I know it's just a game design detail but can we at least acknowledge Johnson's ability to be in multiple locations at once? He was part of Fire Team Zulu during the Assault on the Control Room in CE both on the radio and behind the crashed pelican with a sniper MEANWHILE also leading Second Squad with Captain Keyes in 343 Guilty Spark.
Chief meets Johnson: Chief: how? Johnson: classified, even to you chief. *Brief pause* oh alright don't look at me with those puppy dog eyes. It was one of them floatin lightbulbs. *Chews cigar* I didn't need his help.
I'm a hundred percent in on bringing Johnson back and I know he went through spark1 augmentations he probably spent time in cryo but making him a Spartan for had almost 80 years old seams a bit much
I WANT Johnson back. So Johnson can come back in several ways, just dlc voice lines for multiplayer or gag scenes or easter egg like references, a family member fighting as a marine as well who admired and idolized Johnson and his accomplishments along with his personality, and or like you said with Mendicant Bias doing a "I see you" moment with Johnson being teleported and administered advance technological medical care by an aware and compassionate AI and is currently waiting in stasis to be released. He can return spiritually or legitimately. And for everyone else I believe N6 could have survived but writing said no. Forge is dead I don't see any way out. Rookie is in fact dead and an unnecessary tragedy, unless writers have a way of faking his death and turning him into an Oni spartan, the next Noble 6 basically. Jorge of Noble died destroying a Covenant ship, but maybe he survived as he was sent somewhere though without his helmet on and not being torn apart first makes it doubtful.
It’s absolutely possible, honestly with advanced human tech, I thought maybe Johnson was a clone of a perfect master sgt with spartan augmentation basically he could die infinity number of times, love your idea of him coming back from the dead yet again, why not, epic character the games been missing, bring back John, Arby and the flood and we have our selves an epic halo game like back in the day, also bring back gung-ho marines with sailer mouths and a Cortana that’s confident and can hand the situation and isn’t confused about everything and we might have something that rivals the trilogy

Johnson would be identified as a Reclaimer, so naturally MB would want to preserve him.

A quesiton about the vídeo, would jhonson be a spartan 4 as he already had been injected with previous serum? Would it rlly work?
I like the idea of Johnson coming back and his character/story being done right :D
I like the idea that Johnson has always been partially infected by the flood and that this might give him some form of self regeneration
He can't be infected by the flood because of the augmentation done to him how he has survived from several flood attacks
@@evoheretic9370 that was retconned.
If he was infected then he would've become Flood.
*Marty O’Donnell comments on UA-cam video*
Entire community: don’t do that, don’t get my hopes up
In the words of the man himself:
Sgt.
I'm so happy to see more Halo content creators jumping onto the "so much lore, so many possibilities for different games of different genres!" bandwagon :D I've been screaming it at least internally for years
Oh man! Now you got me excited!! I definitely think it's possible and it should definitely happen ASAP
Sgt. Major Avery Johnson was one of my favorites as a Spartan-I.
I would honestly love to see his character remastered in a *Halo 3: Anniversary.*
Johnson walks out and says you “jumped again didn’t you?!” or “your still a flying brick!”
(I'm writing this just as I'm getting to this point in your video, same ideas it seems!)
Johnson coming back in the proper way, and at the right time, could mean EVERYTHING for the universe. Seeing him being dropped from the SoF into a dire battle in his HW2 suit, flanked by a few colossus and saying something snappy/reminiscent would bring a euphoria like no other.
If memory serves I think it was all of gamma company those two from the prologue of the book and a handful of others from one or two other companies it's been awhile since I read it too 🤔
@@EastlakeRasta7 it was also jun and Halsey as well.
And then the Healer Huragok's could come in and heal them at their leisure, and either they wake him up after his healing, or they put him back in status until the Banished arrive or the Spirit of Fire Arrives
Side Note: Forerunner's applications of Slipspace is truly fascinating.
343 had better keep their grubby, character-assassinating hands off our boy.
johnson, as a very healthy orion candidate, most likely has cat2 genes. this, combined with his orion augmentations would basicly mean his combined augs would be spartan 2 level, as well as his genes and experience. johnson as a spartan "5" (4+1) would be on par with spartan 2's.
That would honestly be the best way to bring him back. Have us play as him back in his hay day as a normal Marine. That’d be dope
HALO: HARVEST
They might not be able to bring Johnson back, but couldn't they have used another character? Sgt. Stacker for example.
@@bable6314 agreed. I’m pretty surprised that not many people see how this wouldn’t work that well. I mean, look what happened with Cortana in Halo 5
I loved Johnson as much as the next guy but this video just gets my hopes up with butts every couple minutes, you’re breaking my heart. Ooh Rah
What the next halo book say: “the spirit of fire got blown up, nobody made it”
I admit it. That theory does sound possible. I really want to see Johnson return.
Ugh yesterday I got him in my squad but then he perished. A fucking Lancer got him 😭
I love how you dive deep into these theories
Personally, I'm team Forerunner AI Johnson. Sure, Spartan 4 Johnson would be fun, but would require more setup than 343 seems willing to do.
If they could bring him back best it be prequel content. Let him rest in game.
I would love for Sergeant Avery 'Awesome' Johnson to come back, no matter how improbable the means.
Yes I think that's a great idea and I think it's fully possible.😮
A game about the CMA vs the insurrection movement with original Orion project candidates in action. Highlighting their procedures units power armor etcetera and a Segway into them currently especially the 1.1's
i love it, the idea that Sg. Johnson could become a s4 sounds awesome.
I've been asking for this for literally years and years..... and years!!! And they should give him his own game!!!!
9:50 *Cosmo screaming at Timmy meme
*"HIS NAME IS BROHAMMER!!!!!"*
"Master Chief."
"Sergeant. MJOLNIR looks good on you."
"Anything looks good on me, Master Chief," the newly minted Spartan-IV said with a smirk before he reached down and grabbed his cigar with the utmost care.
Love this man! Hope we see a prequel game, personally!
I wouldn’t be surprised if Sergeant Johnson came back as a fully fledged cyber Spartan
You're also forgetting the enhanced healing factor Johnson inherited from the attempted Flood assimilation too. His healing factor may have stabilized him enough so that he didn't die until he could be properly treated by a Lifeworker Huragok.
This would be amazing. The game was definitely missing his quips and one liners
"I gotta say, son... This armor looks a helluva lot sexier on me..."
5:53 where is this awesome artwork from?
Johnson has never been replaced with another good character since his death.
I think he should be revealed as a Spartan-IV at the end of the next game.
"Wake up Chief we got a Ring to save!"
Me: “how?”
Installation 00: “explains”
Me” He did it… the crazy SOB he did it”
In First Strike Halsey tells Master Chief privately that Sgt Johnson gained regenerative abilities from his failed infection by the flood.
What?
@@mnrvaprjct in Halo CE Sergeant Johnson came very close to being infected by the flood. So close that Master Chief pulled a gun on him after the events of the game when Master Chief and Cortana met up with a shipped that happen to have Sergeant Johnson and a few others on board. Cortana had to convince Master Chief not to shoot him. A while later doctor Halsey ran tests on his blood and found that he had dormant flood supercells in him. Or something like that.
We need a Sgt Johnson video game series, as well as a game playing as a grunt who is participating in the invasion of earth during the events of Halo 2 and 3
Imagine Johnson showed up on the pillar of autumn II and it’s captained by recently promoted captain stacker
Don't do this to me, don't give me hope, I can't risk losing him again
For the record, I don't speak for oni's reaction to the following possibility:
One way to bring him back at least in spirit, could say he had a son/daughter who took after him a lot (obviously from prior to his orion augmentation). Of course they could still be their own person, don't get me wrong. Hell, perhaps chief could even make a couple comments on it like "your dad would be proud" or something similar.
Just a thought
I LOVE THIS IDEA!
Oh yeah, he knows what the ladies like: titanium-A plating and a 120mm cannon.
Considering we had an instance of a Spartan lll climbing a space elevator I think its fully possible.
abt johnson's entrance, i think it would be cooler he appearing in a boss fight cutscene, the boss is abt to kill chief when he gets hit by a spartan lazer shot, and we a close shot on the lazer then turns to show johnson's while he says something badass
Or make a joke about chief being affect by his age
Could you please make a video about the life of chief Mendez? The trainer of the Spartan II’s?
Honestly I would love to see sgt Johnson hop out the back of a pelican and him just say I ain't dying to a floating ball
Chief meets Johnson:
Chief: how?
Johnson: classified, even to you chief. *Brief pause* oh alright don't look at me with those puppy dog eyes. It was one of them floatin lightbulbs. *Chews cigar* I didn't need his help.
I think it's a great idea!
I'm a hundred percent in on bringing Johnson back and I know he went through spark1 augmentations he probably spent time in cryo but making him a Spartan for had almost 80 years old seams a bit much
I would love a cheesy arcade shooter that's basically Duke Nukem, but with Sgt. Johnson being completely self aware for how absurd the situation is.
If Jonson and red team make it into the game it could be a cool way to introduce companions
Let the Johnson content flow!
Unrelated question
Are you going to play the newest interation of halo cursed edition?
guys.. 343 needs to hire this man
I would like to see a duo with Johnson and Forge.
