Thanks for having a backup I could use. It’s not the first time the Deus 2 coil has let me down. Coil did show a full charge when I started then shortly after quit working.
Gene, I found that the Deus was just to high maintenance for me. I loved it on the land but just too much to keep up with when beach/water hunting. (Coil dies then the mile or two trek back to the truck to get my legend.) The deus is an awesome detector technology wise, but it just couldn't keep up build/durability wise and the charging of everything is crazy. 🏖️🧲(((💍🌊 Always great to see you out with Gig!
Great advice Steve; a factory re-set every now and then is sound practice, especially if you suspect a gliche.... Priority number one😉though, in my op: make sure to jot down your previous P F B G settings first, if they are your 'go to' ones. It may help. But always do a factory re-set before you start ranting. and try to stay "ground-balanced!"
Hi Gig great tip. If you coul do an updated settings tutorial for the legend. There are so many more features added with the 1.11/1.13 update, Thanks for all the videos its the best MD channel.
Thanks for the tip. I just got the update kit for mine and will be installing the elliptical coil for better separation. Do they recommend a reset after changing coils? I am ready to hit some iron areas to see if she outdoes my old Minelab. :)
Nokta also recommends a factory reset after a firmware upgrade. (Pretty common practice for lots of electronics products actually in that customized settings may no longer map correctly to new or changed software features that may have been modified by the manufacturer.). Anyway, thanks for the reset tip! Not that easy to find if browsing through the manual.
Rumor mill says they will have a new detector sometime next year! But the one to get right now is the one with the all carbon fiber handle, the new arm cuff, and the elliptical coil. It's way lighter than the original version. Happy hunting!
Same as with re-booting/re-setting your mobile phone or you pc. It helps to "clean the air-waves," with all computerised engineering at times, so to say. Nothing's wrong with the electronics, except the clutter people ram them with by fiddling and/or "over-thinking things". Changing coils, obsessive fiddling.........

I agree with you on the Deus. Guess I’ll have to get my Legend out more often. I’ve definitely seen the Legend find Gold as easily as the Deus!

Hi gig i know you had issues with the equinox 600 800 flooding...any plans to try the 700 or 900 to see if they stay dry?
Time will be the judge there. 😢😢

Hi Gig. I am thinking about buying the Nokta Legend. Which model did you buy? There are several.
Same machine different combinations. One has the new pinpointer with it. Call Don at (706) 264-6011

Gig thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you so much for this, it was driving me crazy. It is a lot to learn coming from a Fisher F75.
Why would Legend have to be reset? What's wrong with electronics?😮
