- The currency / money lost 90% of its value in Lebanon. I'm in Beirut to understand how its banking crisis is causing multiple exchange rates leading to hyperinflation, and total collapse.

New series starting! Very excited to explore Lebanon and share everything with you. What are your thoughts on Lebanon? 🇱🇧
I had no idea about economical situation…
USD will make Lebanon lifes worsen off. Congratulation!
Why don't you first show all the homeless and economic problems, inflations and corruption, bank problems and poverty in Argentina before talking about other countries. ua-cam.com/video/SRVaIGZex3s/v-deo.htmlsi=HKytek_mq_Pc-efK
Or even better why dont you show how countries like Israel are killing innocent people.
This will eventually happen in all fiat currency countries. Gold and Silver is the solution!!!!!!!!!
Lebanon was my home. I grew up with so much resentment towards the rich people who all they cared about papi this and mami that and how their family is ouf so popular and well known "walaw", everyday with a different new car and phone. The poor Lebanese people knew about this government corruption and knew how rich their families would get for decades but didn't care to revolt with violance because they care about peace more and fear for their lives. So they have been bullied around with money and agreements with government officials to sell their livelihood for cheap. Lebanese people let this issue drag on for so long as it was their comfort zone, "oh there is hope, you will see inshallah God willing God will smile upon us one day and make this beautiful country return back to its former glory". I sat and watched my grandparents, my parents, my cusins, my neighbors , my friends all say the same thing over and over again. All this time they were in denial, and didn't believe in something called "false hope". My message to the Lebanese people, rich or poor, if you continue to vote for the wrong people and do not do anything to contribute to your country, all will fail. Stop with your, "one day it will be okay"...start acting if you are an influencer and got the support, the rest will support you too. Don't be that rich mami and papi, and oh my family is well known for this and that. If you love your country do something about it or the remaining population will end up like me..an immigrant with no roots or home to go to. Sadly I do not have the influence or financial support to do any change in Lebanon other than donating to the red cross when incidents like in 2019 happen. I encourage Lebanese people who are suffering together to work together, fight corruption, those who are educated and got their degrees use them to contribute to the economy (don't frame them) and hold the corrupt people accountable with all your might. Because if you can't put up a fight, all will be lost and you will be held hostage in your own beloved country with the media tainting your reputation and assocaiting the good Lebanese people to the corrupt government. I have seen it all..and I left it behind me, didn't have the chance to see my grandparents be burried because nothing has been affordable. Just an immigrant surviving and counting my blessings.
This reality that people live in Lebanon is close unimaginable, my heart sank hearing what they need to face everyday. Thanks for sharing, these series are so powerful, cannot wait to see what's next.
So sad indeed, hope there's a bright future in some decades there! 🙏
The Lebanese guy even manages to smile. They have such strong spirits.
Way to start the series. For us, the currency situation is unbelievable. What a difficult thing to keep up with. Your salad story really put it into perspective.
Super sad unfortunately, hope the situation improves in the future 😔
Excellent Jon Mr. Salvino. Thank you

Excelente video !!! Que cruel realidad .
Increíble!
Wow- this is terrifying- thank you so much for sharing- I had no idea what was going on. 🙏 for the people that live there
Indeed, daily life is hard for many people there, hopefully the situation improves one day Lisa 🙏
Saludos. Excelente video. Coincido con usted, Venezuela y Argentina están en situación parecida. Muy triste y no se ven soluciones rápidas.
Gracias! Realmente triste y probablemente nada se solucione a corto plazo, pero esperemos que en algunas décadas esto mejore.
Good case study! Crazy how lives can change over night! Wish everyone there a path that leads them to be healthy and whole as soon as possible.
So true Abhi, in the blink of an eye from having a "normal" life we can have a nightmare. Hope the situation improves in the future 🙏
amazing video for such a small channel.
Glad you liked it!
@@AleSalvino say it like it is ;)
Good job my dude
The best way for Lebanon to move forward is to join economic forces with moderate countries in the region, including Saudi Arabia, Oil rich gulf countries, and Israel. Time for Lebanon to stop its "friendly" relation with failed states like Syria and Iran.
Wowwwwwwwwww!!! There is so much in common between Argentina and Lebanon.
Indeed!
So, you're saying if I visit lebanon from the US I should bring lots of small denominations?
thank you for explaining to the world how we are living here. We the people deserve this we ve elected those corrupted criminals...
Thanks for sharing, I did`nt know things are so bad in Lebanon. But they are survivors they will survive this. Thanks so much
Indeed, they're fighters but at some point I hope the situation improves too!
This is going to visit every country in the world eventually. For those who are outside of Lebanon, Turkey, and other high inflation nations, do what you can to save your money NOT IN DOLLARS, but in Gold & Silver.
And bitcoin
@@Yeshua73732 So they say, but there's too much counter-party risk there for me.
@@veritasfiles not if you but it yourself direct theres no risk
@@Yeshua73732 Too dependent upon things that I have zero control over. Electricity, functioning grid and internet infrastructure, semi-conductor chip supply, etc...
!Excelente! !Te felicito! Dios ayude a los ciudadanos del Libano para que logren tener una mejor vida y más estabilidad.
Gracias y esperemos que sea de esa manera!
Hmm.. so sad to see Lebanon country .. actually my country Indonesia not so bad like Lebanon eventhough rate ex change is 1$ = Rp 15000( Rupiah) . I have currensy money Rp100000 😢but everything is stable not mess up. Though still many people lessacceptiing about the economic situation ...it’s the world😅
Why the reach middle eastern brother countries are not helping?
20$ it's now 2million in lebanon? It used to be 30,000 Lira.Thats really sad
9:28 $1,200 USD for a month of working?
Wow inflation reality check! On the bright side, I can't imagine them wanting to get into war.
before Hisballa destroyed Lebanon, many Lebanonies used to work in Israel and made 2000% more money than in lebanon... but Hisballa closed the border and will not let them out. now workers from Thailand and India have taken their place.
😂😂
I don't understand their currency sometimes.. It's crazy. 🤣🤣🤣
So so tragic and sad! It’s unbelievable that government doesn’t do anything to help the situation.
Crazy situation really
The government created the inflation 😅😅
😢😢😢😢
Ahh Im feeling so sorry for Lebanon people😶❤
Indeed, crazy stuff going on now!
I happen to work in Dubai..and met a very wicked Lebanese......he was acting very important 😂😂😂😂
Not a fan of crypto, but I cant help but think how things could have been better if the infrastructure supported it in situations like this by removing the power from banks and corrupt governments.
They have to go with another system than banks the World banking system has broke the economy this was an economic war if US do not like your government they break you 😢😢
Peoples from lebanon --->
Btw im from lebanon
i send a lot of support to lebanon from israel, in hope you see soon better days ♥ i believe that israel could help and give some economic support to the lebanons people if we have even a "cold peace". hope one day we let go of the past and be good neighbors to each other- for the prosperity of all the people in region.
The Lebanese Do Not need a dirty crimminals money with the blood of palastinian keep your hipocrites kindness
Use bitcoin! Same price all over the world
They call it their achievements while trying to establish something they call it their religious beliefs. Just find out who are those countries .
Bütün dinlerden kurtulamayınca insanlara huzur yok umarım bütün dinler en kısa zamanda ortadan kalkar insanlar Müslüman hıristiyan ayrımcılığı ortadan kalkar ben dinsizliği allahsızlığı peygambersizliği seçtim şimdi huzur içindeyim
A perfect solution for hyperinflation is Bitcoin.
A world in a crisis with no saviour on sight regrettably and where will those poor souls run to when these western imperialists have had enough already 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
They can go to the eastern imperialists 😂
Crypto is the answer.
Lebanon was a rich country decades ago. Then the Palestinians arrived.
