What I love about this, that the episode demonstrated so well, is that the team doesn't just give Reacher sh!t. They are also just as capable as fighters. They're all soldiers. This team just knows they're gonna win any fight they walk into.
And their different roles on the team.
- "Maybe he ran off so fast because he knew three pissed-off soldiers and a kaiju were coming for him" made me laugh so hard 😂😂
Me too. Unfortunately it's probably gonna be a line that flies over most people's heads; not everyone's gonna know what a "kaiju" is.
I love how you just immediately dropped your thought when Finlay showed up. (It's exactly what I did, too, it's amazing to see him again!)
That was a fun episode and I just love that they wrote in Finley for a few minutes…in a series that doesn’t normally have repeat characters, it was a nice treat 🥰

Having Finely back was a good way to show how when Reacher makes real friends
It's for life, showing the trust between them.
It also shows that they mean something to him
As a lot of the prodding against him these last few episodes is how he doesn't follow up on friends and etc.
One thing I really love about this season is the choreography. It was really good in season 1, too, but the fact that they went above and beyond to give each member of the 110th their own unique fighting style adds so much to the fights. You have Dixon grabbing anything she can find for bludgeoning and stabbing, Neagley as a close quarters boxer, O’Donnel pushing people back with his knuckle dusters to give him a chance to shoot or throw knives or other weapons, and the gorilla that is Reacher maiming in every way he can
I just realized that it was a code when O’Donnell was talking to his “son” hand is for helping not hitting and share your legos no (don’t use guns tell your mates ) and when he was in the car he saw someone following and told nothing . He framed swan and he is dirty . My theory anyway but the writers might intended to look like it was a setup 😂😂😂
It took me a moment on AM being from "Sandman" as well as Det Russo from Daredevil as Fisk's dad.

Right after I finished watching this episode, I came straight to your video because I knew how excited you would be when Finlay showed up. Your reaction did not disappoint!

You are spot on about the writing of this show, the comedy is so well done. Also love how they show that even though characters like O'Donnell, and Dixon, and Negley aren't as big as Reacher. They can still hold their own in a fight.
They are doing good on giving us red herrings to believe everyone but Neagley could be in on it but also reasons they could not be. Like Swan would still not let his dog die.

My theory at the moment is that Swann is a Fed of some sort, maybe CIA, and he was placed at new age to keep an eye on the new tech being developed and he may have hired the other three guys to look into AM when Marla likely let him know he was sniffing around (because she might be his informant) and the guys got too involved and too close and freaked out New Age. When Reacher and Neagley started investigating, and then the ladies showed up at New Age, Swann took Marla and took off. New Age maybe found O'Donnell, and I can't figure out how long they have been out but I suspect he does have a wife a maybe toddler kids, but New Age came after them and are threatening them. So at most, he's an unwilling participant. Like he has done things that you could see as suspicious but also maybe cries for help. Like wouldn't it have made sense if he was meeting up with Reacher and Nealey that once he saw the rooms, he would have waited at least in the hall. Or even checking out the tail, he immediately was calling attention to himself thinking someone would ask.
I think Dixion / O'Donall are clean . Both were in mortal danger at the house raid and the biker fight . None of the bad guys ignored or went easy on them like they would if "they" were working for the baddies . I think O'Donalls phone call is just some guy trying to live family life while trying to stay on a tough undercover type assingnment . Not sure of Swann , but still think that even if he was dirty he would have had someone take care of his dog
There are definitely a lot of suspicious moments with him and his actions, which I why I hope you are right. If they are indeed dropping hints to set him up as dirty then the fight scenes just don't make sense; and my favorite thing about Reacher as a program is the distinct lack of things that don't make sense. S2 E1 had me worried because there were more "yeah no" moments in it than all of Season 1, but it's definitely improved on that front since then. An O'Donnell plot twist would put a real sour taste in my mouth at this point.
The coke scene was very sus. It seemed to me like he dropped it down behind the seat. So, if nobody noticed it was gone, he would've kept it, but if someone noticed, he'd just say it accidentally fell and be in the clear. Unless someone else dropped it in his car, and I thing it could've been the guy who loaded them. I'm very sus of him and Swann. I really like O'Donnell, so I'm biased. I doubt it could be Neagley. Dixon would be a great choice from the writing perspective, since she's not very sus, she's with the crew always and it would be the hardest for Reacher to accept. The one he loves the most, to be the traitor.
Also out of all the backstories I think O'Donnell's sounds pretty solid. If it was fake and he didn't actually have a family, he could've come up with a cover story that fits his personality more

I like the Jack Ryan/Jason Bourne kinda vibe this season is adding to the mix. It's not only personal for Reacher, but now there's bigger national/international implications as well! Can't wait to see what's next!!

I read the book years ago and can’t remember the plot trying to resist looking it up. Incidentally as far as I can remember there’s only a handful of characters who return in the books, pretty sure Finlay is not one of them, nice to see him though. I think Neagley features in at least five books. This is a great book.

Being a book-reader really limits me in commenting on some of the stuff you brought up. But, as always, loved the reaction, man. We're in for a great ride, I think.
I’ve never been more glad to go into an adaptation blind. I have absolutely no idea where any of these stories go and it makes the tension and build up absolutely incredible.
@@pumpedupbricks There were some changes in season 1, so I'm thinking they might throw a curveball at book readers too. I'm definitely not expecting it to go precisely the way the novel did.
@@byronabrahams871 Yeah, I read up on the plot of the book recently, and to my knowledge the KJ & Kliner Sr change seemed to be the biggest diversion but doesn’t seem to change much. I do hope they make sensible changes for the sake of yourself and other people who have read the books. Good to keep you all on your toes without discrediting the originals.
@@pumpedupbricks I actually trust that they'll do exactly that. The Kliner change was the big one, yes. Took me by surprise. It didn't make too much difference, except I preffered Senior as a villain. I just thought the actor was superior. But it was fine. If they make smart changes that add to the story, give it flavour, then I'm behind the showrunners. Yes, I know all the Reacher stories, but watching the show is a new, frresh experience. Getting to see it through their lens. If it wasn't, anyone who's read the books might as well not even bother watching if it's just a copy and paste job from the books.
I think O'Donnel id a red herring. I have a feeling it is the boss that met them at the bar. I think his name is Hortenz. They keep showing him in the flashback and I don't think it is for no reason.

Please read the books... This scene was so much more brutal than the show adapted. Just like most of the books. They are ALL R rated sometimes NC-17 😂
I've already made this prediction before but I think it's the guy that died in a car crash, he's not dead that death is boring I know it's the most superficial piece of evidence on the planet but compared to the rest of the 110th a boring normal car crash is... BORING... And Boring means fake.
