That looks great. I don’t know if I’d do purple for myself, but purple actually looks great with navy and teal, both of which I love. I think with the right interior scheme, a wallpaper to tie everything in, etc. it could work really well. The white interior really pops and keeps the purple from being “too much”.
This turned out great. I painted one very similar to this a few months ago. My pedestal or finial or whatever that thing is called was connected differently and came right off. I painted mine with Heirloom Traditions Paint. Outside is coliseum (white with a tinge of grey) and inside is spruce (dark bluish green). Tried to attach photo but couldn’t figure out how.
I have that same exact piece! I found mine for $15 at an estate sale. The window mullions on mine are wood & alittle more scroll-y looking so I left them, I like the original detail. I made my own chalk paint, layering blue, sage & a hint of yellow, one of my favorite pieces, used the crystal knobs too, almost like yours!
I probably would not do purple. However I love the inlaid part of the wood designs that go in the windows of secretaries. I would have liked to have seen that remain with the piece. It makes them so unique and beautiful. Aside from the color though, the whole process you went through was informative and helpful and I appreciated it very much. Thank you for sharing the ups and downs. That's one thing that makes me really connect with your work along with the fact that you do great work.
When using that particular paint, after you roll on, you need to brush over it with a dry brush. That’s called tipping. That way none of those bumps and bubbles will be there
..i don't know.. my favourite color is black..i love contrasts though.. i can see it in black, and interior yellow, red, or green/aston martin.. but i'm a guy..
It doesn’t look cherry, more like purple, yuck! Purple is my least favorite color! 😖 Your work is always immaculate, I just don’t always agree with your choice of color…just a matter of differing taste. ✌🏼❤️
I love how painting allows us to individualize the items we love 💜💜💜
Beautiful!
Maybe add black to it to make a nice deep dark purple on another project?
Yes! I definitely would want to paint 🎨 my furniture purple. My favorite color btw🙂.
Yes, love the purple
Love the color!
Thank you!!
💜💜💜💜 love the colour.
Beautiful color!
Purple no, eggplant yesss. Add a bit of deep blue to that purple to get an amazing color.
Oh my! Love in this idea. Sounds beautiful.

Was nervous about that color but it fits this piece beautifully!
I completely agree!
That is gorgeous 😍🤩💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Oh I'm so glad you love it!
@@ARayofSunlight yes you chose a great color. And the diamond handles were pretty.
Love it, I’m starting on the same project, same piece. Was my grandparents,

Quite good colour but i think it would much nice if you had a colour more darker than it is
Purple is not my jam but I love your work 🥰 And, I know a lot of people that would ❤ this piece.
I love it! Too bad you weren't able to remove that top iece though.
Bellisimo!!!
What kind of sander is that??
Were you able to sell it?
You said you weren’t sure you’d use that paint again as you had others you love. What type/brand paint would you use instead?
I love Heirloom Traditions Paint and Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane paint.

What a "sing-song" voice! LOL!!!
I would not put purple furniture in my house, but it would be fun to paint with it. And then I might rub some black wax in the details.
I would never paint with purple unless it is a custom piece and then that color choice is on them!!!
