The story with the step mother I can totally relate to. My mom died when I was 11 and my dad remarried les than a 1 1/2 years later. My parents ran a foster home for mentally handicapped adults so there were 12 women, known around town as the ladies, since before us two kids were born. “Joan” moved in about 8 months before they got married and this Hag decided to cleanse the house of anything that my mom had had a hand in. She painted every wall, took down all the pictures which she lovingly placed in a box and put in the garbage, kept us apart from our dad by locking us out of that part of the house and refused to eat with us. We always ate supper together with the ladies but she had to have HER time with dad. She also came with 5 daughters but only one of them was young enough to live there. We never got along. My sister would just leave and avoid her but I always stayed because I was worried about what she would do to the women. Just walk away was what my sister would say but I just couldn’t let that Hag take away everything of my mom’s. And my Dad did nothing. He never said anything to her, even when she started hitting me. That started when I was 12 and I always wondered what he would do if he knew. The day she beat me so bad I couldn’t get up off the floor, he just stood there and did nothing, then walked away. That was the last time she beat me. I was now 15 and had enough. 2 days later she punched me in the back and I put her up against the wall with my hand around her throat and very calmly told her if she ever touched me again, I would throw her through our plate glass window. She stopped the physical abuse and started with the emotional abuse. My dad hardly ever spoke to me again because she told him I was the one that attacked her. As far as the rest of my family goes, my dad’s side stopped speaking to us when I was 9 and my mom’s side just never spoke to us again after she died. No explanation, just never heard from them again. It became a war zone at our home because she always wanted to fight and I would never back down, never. The worst part was after she stopped beating me was she started being really nice to my sister and started including her in spending time with dad. That really hurt and even after she died she still managed to keep my dad from me but he had Alzheimer’s so he had no clue who I was anyway. The only good that came from it was I learned how not to be a stepmom and because of it, I have the best relationship with my step kids. They love me and call me mom and that is the best thing in the world. Sometimes we have to stand our ground and fight, no matter the consequences...
Wow .. u went through so much as a kid .. 😢 I'm glad that it made u into a strong n kind person but no child deserves to be treated that way or should hv to bear so much pain n hurt... The key indicator for me was when the luxury handbags were mentioned. I'm thinking the new wife isn't as well off as it seems, and is looking for someone to support her and her brats. Home office should have had a lock on it by the end of the day after brat walked in. Even after they move ut, keep a lock on the door. At work office, do they leave the doors unlocked at night?.
I work for the world's largest 'beauty' corporation. Some of the gen Z people do, think it's cool. I think it's totally careless to do that with someone else's (company's) equipment. It facilitates easer unauthorized entry to computer systems. Drives security crazy. If corporate I T gets wind of it, some of those offices could end up empty.
At the end of the first section, OP is wrong - SHE didn't make her father choose. She tried to get along with them and support him, THEY and by extension, him, did that by themselves. 14:59 the father earns 6 FIGURES! WTAF is she handing over money to them? What does the father do with all his cash he earns? What have they done to earn a share of the fathers stuff in the will? They treated his only child appallingly.
Yeah I didn't agree with that. Give 'em nothing, take 'em nowhere, and drop 'em off halfway, buck naked, face down in a barbed wire canoe, no map and headed for Niagara Falls.
I thought the same. If I had a child and remarried and they and their ADULT step kids mistreated my kid, I’m out. Goodbye, not in my will. As for OP, if the dad makes 6 figures how the heck does he need help with a down payment? Does he spend it all and not save?
That woman thought her old boyfriend lived in this wonderful mansion and just couldn't believe that it wasn't his but OP's. I also don't think OP's mom did anything to her except for marrying her old high school boyfriend. I bet the marriage doesn't last too long.
Glad to hear OP decided to still keep in some contact with her father, even though he's an idiot, telling stepmom it was his house, and presumably thinking with his neither regions. Of course also glad OP got stepmom, stepsisters, and their 2 dogs out of her house.
You did the right thing. This is YOUR house and YOUR rules. If they can't follow rules, throw them out. Change your locks and have a security system installed.
I have a feeling the dad is living in a phase of what life could've been like with his highschool sweetheart. The immediately put his new wife and step daughters in his will... Yikes... For someone who was supposedly close to his daughter to not tell her he was dating let alone get married tells you a lot about the dad. He thought she wouldn't take it well if OP found out it was his highschool sweetheart but thought she would take it well if he just moved her and her daughter's in the house...doesn't make sense. OP don't even question that part because she didn't like confrontation... SMH...seems like she just brushed everything under the rug and as long as dad doesn't bring his new family around then she's ok? So none of the issues were addressed...
Honestly while the dad did screw up im not convinced he is a bad man, he infatuated with a gold digger and thats clouding his judgment, hopefully he'll come to his senses one day.
Op is too nice I would not help the deposit. The father and step family have failed as human beings. He deserves to live on the street with the step family
OP was a fool to allow them into the house in the first place. Especially after not being invited to the wedding, that was a clear ‘canary in the coal mine’ situation.
I think seeing her dad lonely made her do it.. she allowed to so she could hv her dad around but didn't realise she was inviting in witches to live with her.. dad seems to be lost in the fantasy world of having his high school sweetheart back in his life.. he doesn't see anything clearly ; seeing how he never once reprimanded those witches n just made excuses for them.. i hope realises soon or it will be too late. Addin those brats in his will was a stupid move as well.
The best advised I had was from my old supervisor, she told me once that I can make billions but if I don't know how to manage it, I can lose it overnight. I was 17 and I still hold on to that piece of wisdom. She shared a lot of financial responsibility talk to me when she had the time. She was only like 26 herself at the time. I wonder if OP's father never met someone like my old supervisor and never learned about financial responsibilities.
Red Flag #1: Didn't tell daughter he was dating seriously (or at all) until he was marrying his high school sweetheart, who he's apparently been in contact with for 2 years. Red Flag #2: Didn't invite said daughter to the wedding Red Flag #3: After convincing good daughter to let new wife and stepdaughters move into HER house, let them do whatever they want regardless of good daughter's feelings. Strike three and you're out Dad. I'm at 5:19 and I already think she should not only cut her step-siblings/mother out of her life, but maybe even her dad. Edit: So, after finishing the story, I'm positive the stepmom is an entitled gold digger and the daughters are following behind. The fact that she was under the impression that it was OP's dad's house tells me that she thought that the house was important to her for some reason. Second, the attempted removing of anything to do with OP's mom's side of the family while bashing her mom makes me think that she was trying to cement herself as the only woman in his heart and mind. Thirdly, the expensive bags that apparently took an entire closet to carry mixed with the fact that the dad apparently makes a lot. Fourth, with her apparent influence over OP's dad, I don't believe his excuses about why he didn't tell her about the wedding or the dating for a second. It was clear she was already working on diving a wedge between them. Finally, I wouldn't be surprised if she told her her daughters to act that way in order to push OP into moving out of the house, so she could live a high-class life without OP around. In short, I anticipate a bad ending to this marriage once the stepmom has leeched off as much money as she can from the dad. She'll either divorce him once she's put him in enough debt or she finds out he can't give her the life she thinks she deserves or he finds out she's cheating on him because that's how all of these stories end up with the entitled person thinking they deserve something on the side because of some minor failing on the behalf of their significant other.
I had to restart the story to catch the ages again because I was thinking OP was a minor until I go to “my office”. Wtf you’re a grown adult and they are trying to treat you like a child, and it’s your house!
Knew that from the start. New wife and her kids thought the house was the dad's house. They didn't know the house was her house and dad stayed with her. They thought they landed the jackpot. They so so didn't lol Dad earns well, but OP gave help with the deposit/ down payment on his new house. He's obviously not got enough in the bank.
@@JariDawnchild Very likely has tbh. They thought he had money and an expensive house. Guarantee he's been splashing the cash for "appearances". Same as a likely expensive wedding
Sorry OP but daddy is a PW loser. He's just so happy to be getting some that he is willing to lose you to get it. Obviously she chose him for the big house, thinking it was his. Quicky secret wedding was her idea to keep you from stopping her gravy train. You are right to be worried about his safety when she finds out she is in the will.
I bet the stepmother was angry that the father didn’t own that big house and wasn’t as wealthy as she thought. The father will come crawling back to OP once she and her demon spawn burn through everything he has and discards him.
When op mentioned dad didn’t like her bf bc he’s middle class that completely convinced there was no misunderstanding and dad straight up told Steph that op lived with him and made it out to be his house.
I haven’t even started the video properly but read the first line of the original post. I’m so happy that pieced this story together! I wanted to see how it played out. This is why I liked this channel so much
This is why you leave your assets to your children instead of your spouse and if they're underage, make sure it's in a trust. It doesn't matter how much you love or trust them because when you're dead, you can't protect your children if your living spouse forgets that they're supposed to be a parent first. OP was lucky it happened when she's an adult, if she had been a child and her father had control of the finance, who knows what would've happened. Make no mistake, this man *is* a pushover and a doormat. He was siding with his new wife over the comfort and safety of his own daughter. Even if he hadn't outright lied the house was his, he implied enough that it can be taken in that context which makes him a liar. OP should be really careful with her father stomping on her boundaries even if their relationship got better over time.
The father should NEVER have brought his new family to live in OP's home! It isn't as if he even told her he was dating! What a cheek - I'm not sure I would have allowed them in to MY home in the first place as it's obvious he & they have NO regard for OP at all. Made me FURIOUS!
If I have learned anything from listening to these Reddit stories, it's that a lot of these people have been trained from a young age in order to be compliant.
I don't understand why some people act like absolute tools when you show them great kindness. Some people are so ungrateful and need to learn humility.
Absolutely, you're doing the right thing! They can't just steamroll you and YOUR property! My parents divorced when I was in high school, and my Dad remarried to a woman with 4 worthless kids (the youngest was my age, 16 at the time, and the oldest was in her 20's). They all moved into OUR childhood home and they quickly started marking their territory: insisting on having an addition built, remodeling with gaudy colors/patterns, etc. Dad was trying so hard to gain the kids' "approval" so he gave in to whatever they wanted, and kept telling us kids that he of course loved us, but was trying to get her kids to like him, so he gave in to basically all their requests, but not ours (me, the oldest [F], a sister and 2 brothers -- all younger than me). Dad and his bimbo new wife had only been married for about 5 months, when we found out that Dad had ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease, which is terminal. He was 43 at the time). Dad had already told me, but told us ALL in a "family meeting" with both families. Wifey-poo announced that at 44 yrs old, she was too young to "be burdened with taking care of a sick husband" -- and her rotten kids agreed. Dad kicked them all out and told them to not show up at his funeral, and he divorced Entitled Wifey Wench (who took MY car with her on the way out!). We never heard from her or her kids again at all. Not only had they all been loading up the new furniture and appliances to take with them (Dad and us kids just wanted them GONE, so we just told them to take it), but Skanky Wife took my little VW Bug that+ Dad had bought for me! I later learned from a friend that Selfish Wifey was driving my Bug one day when it caught fire while she was driving, and she thought that the faster she drove, the quicker the flames would go out (they didn't), but she had developed breast cancer and her kids were forced to care for her until she died. They eventually lost their apartment, had no car, or money (they lost all benefits through our Dad's work -- including health insurance). Oh, and Arrogant Wifey said she was "too pretty to work and just wanted "to model" so then they had no money, because she couldn't land another husband in time. Karma don't like bitches...
The nerve of this entitled woman, her brats and her badly behaved dogs, living under OP's roof and acting as if the house actually belongs to her and thinking she sets the rules and can remove family pictures and replace them with her own. Don't even get me started on those dogs using OP's home as a toilet and injuring her pup. OP is well within her rights to turf the lot of them out. If dad wants to be with them so badly, he's welcome to join them.
07:49 And there it is. OP just about admits to being a pushover, which is the cause of this trouble on her end. There are many bad people all over the world. Do not show weakness and let your guard down. You can do this without living an overly paranoid life.
I hope OP has a contract about her investment in their new home. And I have fingers crossed that should something happen between OP‘s dad and his new wife that new wife doesn’t get the House that OP helped them buy with the down payment.
The new wife is a horrible woman, and the NERVE of this woman is horrifying. The dad is a spineless, less of a man. His ability to be spineless cost him a relationship with his daughter. The new family and the dad, they deserve each other while OP deserves so much better than that.
Bravo OP! Your Mum would be proud of you. Yes, it's admirable to be kind and generous, but not so much as to be a doormat. Also, kudos to the Reddit community, they seemed to have really come through for OP with suggestions and advice. Impressive and I'll keep it in mind if I ever need help. (Jeez! It's hard to type and touch wood at the same time!)
I hate when posts like this villainize the partner and not the parent. OP’s dad is the problem here all around. Yes everyone else is an AH but dad deserves the most criticism. It sounds like he lied to this garbage woman and her kids. And then he expected his daughter to accommodate him and his new family? The dad is a psycho.
Funny how the Dad think the bf is only middle class. Dad forgets that he MARRIED into the upper class, and that he has since downgraded to "no class" with Steph.
This is gonna sound bad , but I think OP should check who's in charge of her mums grave ( if it's a plot grave), keep the documents in the case she mentioned, and tell her "father" and his "family " to plan and save for his own funeral and grave , I wouldn't want him barried with my mum if it was me
I would have kicked him out the moment i heard about his wedding without me. That would be the sign for me that i am not important enough for that person so they can f off.
At least she has more balls than her dad. Good for her, sad that it ended up that way but her dad will eventually figure out the mess he got himself into
So who wants to bet that the twins are his bio kids he had when he had an affair with the ex-girlfriend while still married and they broke up then she disappeared before finding out she was pregnant. Now he's trying to 'make it right' to his kids he never knew.
Kicking your weak father, entitled stepmother, and immature stepsiblings out is a big part of revenge webnovels, and I love to see it. Although, I've never heard of the second wife insulting the first wife while also trying to take advantage of the first wife's inheritance happen in real life! The absolute AUDACITY to talk badly about raising kids when your own children are inept and rude. Unfortunately, like some people say, getting a new stepmother is like getting a stepfather too. When a parent remarries, they rearrange priorities, and it seems OP's dad is weak-willed and isn't willing to stand up against his new wife even if he loves OP.
You did the right thing kicking them out. But dad’s not going to choose you. She’s obviously got the spineless fool by the ⚽️, but OP, he’s married to her, she IS his family now. Did you really expect him to chose to live with his daughter over his wife? You’re puzzled why he chose to live with her? One curious thing though. If dad’s an engineer on 6 figures and Steph has money to blow on a closet full of handbags why did you give them money towards the deposit on their new place?
OP was far too kind to help find them a new place, especially so close by. Also the harpies didn't take away her father. He chose them over her. Pathetic weakling.
Story 1: Hell yes you did the right thing. I'm surprised it took you that long. Insult my deceased mother, I'm not even giving you a warning, cops called, problem removed.

You go girl!!!! Treasure you stepkids and good things will come your way!
Wow .. u went through so much as a kid .. 😢 I'm glad that it made u into a strong n kind person but no child deserves to be treated that way or should hv to bear so much pain n hurt... Sorry to say this but ur dad was a spineless loser . He wasn't a real father if he didn't care enough to stand up for u or look after u...I'm glad u hv a nice n happy family now... Stay strong n happy ❤
@@Kayenne54 😂
I thought the same. If I had a child and remarried and they and their ADULT step kids mistreated my kid, I’m out. Goodbye, not in my will. As for OP, if the dad makes 6 figures how the heck does he need help with a down payment? Does he spend it all and not save?
I think she did it just to get them out asap! Why wait for whole 30 days? I probably would have done that. Ease of mental health. And my pet.
Her dad is a POS for doing that. My oldest brother always treated step kids better than his own.
That woman thought her old boyfriend lived in this wonderful mansion and just couldn't believe that it wasn't his but OP's. I also don't think OP's mom did anything to her except for marrying her old high school boyfriend. I bet the marriage doesn't last too long.
It’s a good thing OP had a good lawyer and her mom had a solid will otherwise this story was the setup to Cinderella
First story actually brought tears to my eyes. No good deed goes unpunished. Almost a modern day Cinderella story. So sad for OP.
Thanks LG for the story.
I honestly wish the father good luck. He's going to need it.
I hope OP can build a new family. One with integrity, humility and heart.
Seriously, they've got the money, they can handle it.
I can’t understand why he didn’t have the money for down payment on a house.. he makes 6 figures… girl was too nice.
I find it odd that Dad makes 6 figures but couldn't provide a new home for his new family.
He probably has some secret debt.
Yeah, maybe he's a gambler or something.
Two guesses on where those luxury bags came from.
I had a sil like that, except it was shoes, they took up the entire spare bedroom of her house. Crazy.
Red Flag #2: Didn't invite said daughter to the wedding
Red Flag #3: After convincing good daughter to let new wife and stepdaughters move into HER house, let them do whatever they want regardless of good daughter's feelings.
I would've billed them for damages and cleaning for everything they did.
I've watched this one from you numerous times, so entertaining!
I had to restart the story to catch the ages again because I was thinking OP was a minor until I go to “my office”. Wtf you’re a grown adult and they are trying to treat you like a child, and it’s your house!
I remember this story.
Same. The audacity

Who could forget…
I do too it's like you can't find any new ones on this channel
@@Kingdan2011 I usually switch around channels usually 3 and sometimes I find the same story over 3 weeks in atleast 1 or two videos
Knew that from the start.
New wife and her kids thought the house was the dad's house.
They didn't know the house was her house and dad stayed with her.
They thought they landed the jackpot.
They so so didn't lol
Dad earns well, but OP gave help with the deposit/ down payment on his new house. He's obviously not got enough in the bank.
Nope, because it's sunk into those luxury bags of Steph's, most likely.
@@JariDawnchild
Very likely has tbh.
As was said in “The Princess and the Frog”:
“You got what you wanted; but you lost what you had.”
Truer words have never been spoken.
Your step Mum crossed soo many lines and it's a shame your dad isn't more understanding intact he also crossed so many lines
I bet the stepmother was angry that the father didn’t own that big house and wasn’t as wealthy as she thought. The father will come crawling back to OP once she and her demon spawn burn through everything he has and discards him.
Op got a level of patience that I hope to never EVER have
When op mentioned dad didn’t like her bf bc he’s middle class that completely convinced there was no misunderstanding and dad straight up told Steph that op lived with him and made it out to be his house.
I haven’t even started the video properly but read the first line of the original post. I’m so happy that pieced this story together! I wanted to see how it played out. This is why I liked this channel so much
i doubt she would follow thru but i would love a 5yr update, for 1 i can't see Dad's marriage lasting for the long run.
@Lost Genre Thank you for covering the update on this story. I have been waiting to hear how things turned out for her. Thanks again.
I swear every single redditor in these stories treats being spineless as a personality trait, it's infuriating as hell
If I have learned anything from listening to these Reddit stories, it's that a lot of these people have been trained from a young age in order to be compliant.
Agreed They let to much slide before taking action
If my father didn't invite me to his wedding, he isn't going to be invited to mine.
Thanks for the video LG. Why would the dad think it was a good idea to lie about who owned the house?
He cheated on his deceased wife and those twins are really his daughters.
Wow, you know these people? If you don't what proof do you have?
I think its a hunch. I feel it too
@@mkaylor121 I don't trust hunches, if they were any use we would all be rich.

@@mkaylor121 do you? Then you are either very lucky or mistaken. Most are mistaken according to studies on intuition.
I don't understand why some people act like absolute tools when you show them great kindness. Some people are so ungrateful and need to learn humility.
That shiny spine...I love it, NTA ..OP did the right thing.
Haha I love the voices LG does to reflect the people involved XD
6:25 The comment about contesting the inheritance: If it has been 3 years, the will has probably already been probated and can no longer be contested.
07:49 And there it is. OP just about admits to being a pushover, which is the cause of this trouble on her end.
There are many bad people all over the world. Do not show weakness and let your guard down. You can do this without living an overly paranoid life.
Op story 1 is so great!! Not fold under father's plea
Gotta wonder if the step sisters are half sisters
Ha! Good point!
OP is a massive pushover. After all that she still gives them money for a house. Wtf. What a doormat. She needs to grow a spine
Duuude, did you think that maybe she did that just to get them out of her hair sooner?
I hope OP has a contract about her investment in their new home. And I have fingers crossed that should something happen between OP‘s dad and his new wife that new wife doesn’t get the House that OP helped them buy with the down payment.
This is the story of Cinderella, with OP having to clean up the stepsister's doggie leavings.
The new wife is a horrible woman, and the NERVE of this woman is horrifying. The dad is a spineless, less of a man. His ability to be spineless cost him a relationship with his daughter. The new family and the dad, they deserve each other while OP deserves so much better than that.
Hey Dutch!
Well, he had to be pretty spineless to marry OP's very rich mom.
Love the new voices you're doing lately 💚💚
The way LG said “girl” when reading the comments on the first story?? really did something for me, I love it here
Good story combo! Thank you
Poor OP:/ lost her mother and her dad
I hate when posts like this villainize the partner and not the parent. OP’s dad is the problem here all around. Yes everyone else is an AH but dad deserves the most criticism. It sounds like he lied to this garbage woman and her kids. And then he expected his daughter to accommodate him and his new family? The dad is a psycho.
Great story! Thanks for the complete tale. ❤️❤️
I do not understand these men who readily abandon their literal flesh and blood for other people.
Funny how the Dad think the bf is only middle class. Dad forgets that he MARRIED into the upper class, and that he has since downgraded to "no class" with Steph.
This story would definitely fit in an apple texts video lol
Ugh what horrible people!! ETA: “harpies” is a great way to describe that gang of awful women!
OP needs to make sure her father is NOT in her will just in case something "happens." I hate for Steph and her daughters to get a windfall.
Tell them to GET OUT! It's NOT HER HOUSE.
Hahaha I love the "derp derp derp" version of your voice
Another good story and reading!
The moment their dogs bite Moxie would have been the moment that if I was OP, I'd have told them to take their useless aggressive dogs and get out.
I was expecting stepmom handbags to be a golddigger and for her to lose interest in Op's dad upon realizing how much of the money was OP's
she's so desperate for a dad, and he treats her like nothing. Disgusting. She is too desperate it makes me feel gross.
I disagree. I just think she was well raised, gracious, and a class act. Her father is acting like he has something to hide. Weird.
Stepmother presumed that the house belonged to daddy, so it was now hers by marriage. But it is yours by inheritance, so she needed to be woken up.
At least she has more balls than her dad. Good for her, sad that it ended up that way but her dad will eventually figure out the mess he got himself into
This is a modern-day Cinderella story... evil step-mother and twin sisters included !
OP NTA ...your dad is a jellyfish not choosing you and steph and wicked stepsisters are toxic. Kudos to you. 🙌
OP was far too kind to help find them a new place, especially so close by. Also the harpies didn't take away her father. He chose them over her. Pathetic weakling.
This is a real life Cinderella story omg
I also feel bad for Moxie .. poor baby had to deal with hellhounds..!!
If Op knew her stepsisters had a habit of barging in a room, she should have a lock on her door.
I'll bet anything the woman didn't know the house wasn't her new husband's
Edit: ha!
Show all of them the door, lock the doors, and change the locks!!!
op should keep in contact with the dad, at least minimum
The second story reminds me of Cinderella, before the father died.
Op your dad chose them the moment he decided not to tell you he was dating and got married without letting you know.
A lot of people here including myself would’ve gone no contact with the father just based on him not telling me he got married
Story 1: Hell yes you did the right thing. I'm surprised it took you that long. Insult my deceased mother, I'm not even giving you a warning, cops called, problem removed.
7:24 “Ah-Hyuk!!!”
The 'hyuck-cent' you added to one of the comments immitating the dad took me out LMAO
"...she's got him wrapped around her little fingers..."
MUCH more likely the other way around!
Must be fun being from the upper 10%.
😑
If being a medicine student counts as "middle class" I guess I am just f*ing poor.
This is literally a Cinderella situation only op actually has a backbone and stuck up for herself without the prince charming.
