How to replace the MAF on a Porsche Boxster 986 DON'T BUY THIS

Has the MAF Mass Air Flow sensor gone out in your Porsche Boxster 986 or Carrera 911 996? If your Porsche Boxster or Carrera 911 is running rough, this little piece of plastic might be the issue. The Porsche dealer will charge you over $1,000 bucks to change it, you can buy a cheap $16 eBay MAF, or do the right thing and just start with a Bosch MAF and keep driving your Porsche Boxster or Carrera 911 996.

I've been using my Ebay MAF sensor on my 986 for 3 years now! Going Strong! Maybe you have other issues or bought a bad sensor.
Did you test your old sensor before buying a new one?

2001 Boxster S. I had the same issue. Found a 65$ cheap MAF sensor, and it was shit. Checked it out with Durametric and it was giving the wrong voltage numbers right off the bat.
