Hi everyone! In this video I'm showing you how I'm setting up my Loot Filter Ingame Tierlist for Last Epoch. Ideally you follow along to setup the Loot Filter yourself because you need to add your build's important affixes yourself.

It's insane how in-depth but clear the loot filter can be. It's obvious that the devs have played an APRG before and know how important it is.
The options are endless! I love this.
I love the simple logic of this filter style, one of the things im guilty of is setting up my filter and forgetting what color means what. With your kind of filter it follows the rarity progression to keep it straight in your mind. Even better is when you want to see nothing but exalted you can just add "Rarity: Exalted" to each tier at endgame. Thank you!

Thank you so much! I've watched tons of item filter guide videos and none of them made sense to me. It made it very hard to understand the item progression in this game.
This item filter follows the exact logic I want out of an item filter, haha! Will definitely be using it at launch. I also like how you're future-proofing the idols if they come out with more affixes tham 2 :D
I'll probably play around with it a bit more to have certain level ranges beucase of the different base types that become available at different levels but that's a mini-game on its own already haha.

It is definitely very barebones and can be editted with certain implicits for example but I wanted s very concise video and not bore every with a 20 minute explanation. I‘ll follow up with that item filter update video for sure though.
Yes, exactly! Having a base to start working off from and build up the item filter will be much more helpful to beginners and those who wish to customize it in their own way, for their own build.

@@macciebe Yes thats exactly what you need to do following my logic. Make sure to include all the Affixes your build requires!
Awesome guide, thanks for the video! New player here, couple of probably dumb questions: 1) Why is the T7 filter needed if we're showing exalted items? Aren't all items with a T6 or T7 considered exalted? 2) Why do we need the third and fourth tier of filter for idols (3 and 4 selected affixes)? Are there eventually idols with more than 2 affixes? I just finished the first monolith after the story, so I'm not sure if idols with more lines just comes a bit later. Thanks in advance!
1. You are right, but I want to specifically highlight T7 affixes.
2. Definitely not necessary right now, but maybe in the future! Right now you won't need them.

Nice filter! Quick question about the idols? Why are you doing 4 filters? Aren't they limited to two affixes?
Yes thats right. I should have only done two but during recording I seem to have lost track of that. One white for 1 affix + one blue for 2 affixes that your build needs is enough.

However, may i ask whenever later down the road, when i realize i need or don’t need some affixes, i will need to do all the duplicatings and recolorings again?
Glad it helps. If thats the case you can delete all the duplicates, add / remove affixes, duplicate, recolor. Or if its just a small number of changes, change it in all „Recolor“ rules.
I know it's possible to import filters. Do you have this in whatever format we need to where we can just copy it, and then adjust as needed?
It is 10x faster if you make it yourself to be honest since all the steps necessary to re-format are the same as making the filter yourself. Thats why it wasn't necessary to link the filter.
What happens to the items that are filtered out ? The once on ground and can’t pick them because of filter ? Isn’t waste to leave them, cant I sell them for gold or break them for crafting items? ( I’m new to this type of games so excuse my ignorance if it was stupid obvious matter that I don’t comprehend).
The items you filter out are filtered out for a reason. You will still see very good items that are not for your class cause Exalted Items are shown. Also selling items in this game is useless, check how much you get for an item for selling it at the vendor yourself, it is miniscule.
Games like this are about efficiency and to be efficient you need to go fast and only stop for good reasons to keep your efficiency high.
Great video but I have a small question: Why do you make 4 different filter for ıdols like 3 and 4 affix, as far I know Idols only can have 1 prefix and 1 suffix, before write down this comment ı check my ıdols on my stash and all of them has 1 prefix and 1 suffix ? Am I missing something ?

Are implicit stats considered affixes (as far as the filter is concerned)?
Edit: Including "Armor" and "Melee"...if I choose "Armor" as one of the affixes I'm looking for is it just going to show everything with armor?
To filter by implicits you need to add an "Item Type" condition to the rule and select the bases you want.

wait.. if you put the rule "show all unique/set/exalted" items on the top, it's going to ruin the filter, no? No matter how many good stats my exalted item has, it always will show up as a normal exalted item or am I wrong?
This is intended as I want to see all the Exalted Items to see if I can use those for other characters /builds (or sell those if I would ever not be SSF).

Do the Dots on the gear text correspond to matching stats you have set through the filter ?
The dots stand for how many pre- and suffixes the item has. Left prefix, right suffix. Doesnt have to do anything with the filter.

I may be doing it wrong, but Idols don't have Affix tiers. They are all Tier 1 so it just shows all of the idols you picked the affixes for. Am I doing this wrong?
Filter by Idols that have 1 selected Affix and emphasize Idols that have 2 selected Affixes.

As stated in wudijo's latest interview with Jonathan Rodgers from PoE2 their philosophy is that community made stuff will be better living in a browser than ingame.

The first 2 rules can be combined into 1 rule, by hiding normal, magic, rare, not sure why you want to make things harder
