just a quick note... to setup "hide everything" rule you don't need to select all the types. just select "hide" and don't select any condition and it will hide everything.
Im using other peoples filters right now but thanks for the video I really want to learn how to run it. Making it just show 1 specific armor type with the stats I want is a Life saver!
Does it make sense to have "Hide all items" at the bottom and then "Hide all Normal/Magic items" over it? Hide all items will already hide those or not?
The Shattering filter selects the whole class? if I understand correctly, since it's at the top of the list, all the items in my class will be colored for shattering, which doesn't make sense. If I only want to shatter items that won't block my crafting, it has to be a reverse selection of my class specifications, not all of them as in the proposed filter, right?
Exactly my thoughts. And you are absolutely right. It is awesome guide, but there are several mistakes or reduntant filters like: - Shattering filter at the top (you got it) - Show Unique items on top - you want this filter at the bottom, otherwise all Uniques regardless of affixes will be shown in same color - Hide all Normal/Magic - same reason, redundant - Show Midgame Exalted Items - redundant because of upper "Recolor T6 Exalted" filter (this has same affixes and Exalted rarity) - Hide 32 Types - it is enough to just set "Hide" without the need for checking all the affixes. It will hide all. I must repeat that this is really the best guide for loot filters I could find and I adapted its system with ease. Just tweak it for your needs I guess.
Hey woody! Überschreiben deine grauen und weißen items so nicht deine megaroten items? Würs mich über ne antwort freuen. Nurze deinen Filter die ganze zeit, aber das mitm shattern is seltsam
is there a way to use color in a rules name if i rename them? e.g. if i create a rule the auto generated name of the rule will look something like this: "Show: Exalted/Unique/Set 9 Types" and the words EXALTED, UNIQUE and SET will be written in their specific color (purple, orang-y, green) if i now rename the rule to something like: "Show: Exalted/Unique/Set One Handed Weapon & Offhand" the whole name of the rule will be written in plain white in my filter, which in my opinion makes it harder to read the filter, which gets worse when using more and more manually named filter rules. so is there a way to use color if i manually name my rules instead of using the auto-generated rule name? in my example i would really love to rename to "One Handed Weapon & Offhand" instead of the auto-generated "9 Types", but it makes me lose the colored words "Exalted/Unique/Set"
Don't forget to filter for basses! You have to select an individual item type and then select a sub category. You won't see great affixes you want if they're only on the base.
now if u are a proud member of merchants guild nor a CoF bussy, u also need to look for affixes that are good for all other classes so u can sell them for big mony!
I used a loot filter specifically tailored for my leveling build. Either it’s a giant troll or this game doesn’t drop anything worth a damn. I can’t even get 2/4 rares after 50 levels.
With all respect, this video was not very helpful to someone learning to create their first loot filter. Too much information, told too fast for me to follow.
Nice guide but my loot filter doesnt even work. I made a simple one to only hide blue and white loot but nothing. Tryed every workaround then wrote a ticket. Hope it get fixed, getting bombarded with loot isnt funny when you spend more time filtzering it manually than in D4
As a player of more than 300 hours of LE I have to say that your explanation must be quite confusing for many players, it was even for me. The problem might be that you are not an educator, you understand the game very well, but it does not necessarily mean you know the best way how to explain it in a way it is understandable for everyone. And it is not because you talk too quickly. If you approach such a complex topic like this, try to divide it into more videos like basics, intermediate and endgame. You mention that a player needs a filter from lvl 5 and right jump explaining your 100 lvl filter, then you drop so many terms like exalted, runes of this and that etc. New players probably do not know what they are or even what is good for their build or why they should look for these bases or those affixes. This is why this topic needs more information in a slower manner of explanation and in a shorter more digestible format. Otherwise it could remain daunting.
Not really? He isn't making a tutorial for complete beginners here. He is a top player in the game making an in depth tutorial for people who want the nitty gritty of his loot filter. For him to go into depth about why you would pick any stat for your build, or wtf ascendancy bases are would be a crazy long video. Maybe a video he will make, but not the point of this. There are plenty of very simple videos for the original commentor who has played 300 hours to learn from lol.@@joshuacosby2459
band aids? So go play d4... loot filter is a must because for example I play rogue, I don't want to see any other class items, that doesn't mean they are bad... so what do you expect, them to not drop loot? Idiot

My filter hides everything for my current builds, and I have to progress multiple classes to find stuff for the other builds. Solo Self Exclusion.

That sounds like some fart sniffing hipster stuff.

thx for the guide and content man!
Thanks Wud!
How do you figure out all the stats your build wants though?

Lvl 67.. haven't set loot filters
Understand & Build Loot Filters in 39 MInutes!
how the hell do i use your filter.... i need it in XML version..
you dont need it in xml. You copy all the text, go in the game and in the lootfilter it should say it has a valid filter on your clipboard.
In minutes, but video is almost as long as one half of football... :p
I do believe you`re using the wrong unit to measure footballs
Hahaha nice one. :D I get it now... @@olssoooon96

Dude. You're looking for a specific item out of thousands of combos.. idk if a ARPG if for you if you're complaining and not even at end game lmfao
You can easily with a bit of crafting turn that into 3/4 or 4/4

Loot filters work you’ve done it wrong.
@@c-tothefourth4879 yeah i would really love to see his "non working" loot filter and the nonsense he most likely activated in it
