Woodturning - The Pinecone Lamp

- With a pinecone found in the forest, I decided to make a lamp. The result is very close to what I wanted to achieve, so I am happy with the result. I have in mind to make several smaller models and sell them!

Como mola la lámpara, el efecto que le hace a la piña mola mucho, eso si tornear resian es un festival, madre mia la que lia.

I think a lamp made of two pine cones, one on bottom and the other above but turned upside down to form an hour glass shape would look pretty cool.

However, either a lot of pigment was added to the resin or the light source is weak. Epoxy resin and cones are my favorite topic.

Thank you dude! The advice that I can give you is that the pressure pot is as large as possible to be able to introduce all kinds of pieces. it is what I took into account when I bought it.

I bought the led in a store in my town and I adapted it by soldering the cables to the poles. Thank you

Este torno me va de lujo, por el precio que tiene yo creo que no hay nada mejor. Es grande y te permite hacer casi de todo. Tienes un video review en mi canal.
El ruido no es uno de sus puntos fuertes, ya que no es de los mas silenciosos, no obstante tampoco lo consideraría ruidoso.

How did you know it would take 7 days to eliminate the bubbles? Based on experience? Trial & error?

Hello! Thank you very much for your comment. This resin takes 7 days to dry. The tip is to put the resin during this time under pression to eliminate the bubbles.
The pressure compresses the bubbles making them invisible. At least that's what I think 😜
beautiful effect, why an autoclave?
It is not exactly an autoclave, it is a pressure pot, it is to prevent bubbles from appearing in the resin. The resin should be harden with a pressure of approximately 45-50 psi. Thank you very much for watching and your comment!
