The moral to the story is, always have a magic wand and do it the way they drew it......most engineers (not the train kind) know what they are doing....

@@coquitlam_railfan5686 not sure where you see this, but all the sources I’ve checked say 705 became GECX 5000 then DL 3007. 707 apparently went to Mexico. Became FNM 707, then FXE 707. The info about 706 is correct.

Some familiar faces there. Conductor Tom Myette had his foot broken when the slack ran in so hard the caboose door broke its latch and swung open on his foot. 2 emty chip cars popped right out of the consist 1000ft back on a curve, and the tail end ran back into the headend. Norm and Burger scrambled back up that slope in the dark and in shock. I took a number plate of the 751 and gave it to Norm.
In one of your older videos you made about the runaway train consist you said you would get some videos of it running and you haven’t posted any on UA-cam at least. Could we see them run?
@@johnmcgarvie4061 Judging by the empty chip hopper visible at 5:32, my guess is they were northbound. Crew got out lucky. All things considered, there are far scarier spots to derail on that sub!

BCOL 705 -> DL 3007
BCOL 751 -> scrapped by ASDX in 2009-2010
BCOL 761 -> scrapped by WRIX in 2010
Actually BCOL 707 became 3007
DL 3000 was former BCOL 706
