But saying that the Mavs are losing because of lack of offense is disrespecting Boston's defense (#2) in the league. And even not taking into consideration that JM is beating JK in the coaching department.
And the stats about Celtics record when scoring less than 107 is mis-leading as well. Boston average 91 FG attempt in the regular season, they average only 83 shots this series. Thats a difference of 8 shot that lead to an extra 10pts easily. Dallas just slow the game down with Luka and Kyrie iso ball, so the scoring on both sides will be less.

You cannot say Luka is better than Tatum. Offensively yes by far, but as an overall player? Lukas deficiencies on the defensive side really need to be accounted for more when comparing him to comparable players of this era.
To say that Tatum has had a BAD series, shows how little of an understanding you have for the game of basketball. Tatum hasn’t SHOT well, and let Luka score on him a few times in one quarter. Other than that, he’s played WINNING basketball. Has he had his best series? Absolutely not. To say he’s been BAD, which implies he’s been a net negative, is an embarrassing, hateful take.
@@kevinc8955Only his shooting. He still has had a good plus minus, rebounding, assists and defensive efficiency. 😂 I mean watching the games will tell you that.
Wildes is making a crystal clear point. Basically the distinction in “fault” and “blame”. Yes, Luka is the reason they. Bc he’s also the reason they win so much. His impact is tremendous and goes both ways. But it’s not his fault. An example is a portfolio of assets. Imagine having 10 stocks. It 1 makes up 90% of your “assets under management” so to speak or portfolio amount, that position’s swings will drive performance. But it’s independently of the behavior of the other 9 assets. It doesn’t affect them in the slightest. They can all perform poorly or through the roof. But your largest position is the reason for most of your swing but the reason it’s so much of your portfolio is BC it’s so good. Any times it does poorly, your portfolio of the other 9 are diversified to always compensate for losses. The net gain of the largest position over time more than makes up for any bad performance it has on occasion. Thats where you expect your other positions to step in. Blaming a high earner doesn’t make sense bc you factor in all the good performance over time. But it is the reason you may be down. Now if it’s historically bad then you can blame it. But if the other positions which are meant to not fluctuate dip in performance and don’t have that good will built up, eg role players, then you can blame them. Luka wasn’t so bad beyond his normal stats and did what you expect him to do offensively that imo he should be safe from blame but his lack of defense which is apart of his offense efficiency as it saves his energy is baked in. It’s always been this bad. It just so happens other team/portfolio assets are noticeably dipping too all at the same time
But Curry didn't have a reputation for berating the referees constantly throughout the game. The Curry incident was an outlier in a relatively quiet career of complaining. Luka goes at the refs on every other play. This is a terrible argument by Nick.
Bro as a Celtics fan it’s hilarious because they were soooooo confident before game 3!! Even after game 1 they got smashed and it’s “mavs always lose game 1s, we aren’t worried bro!” 😂😂😂 smh

@@user-qr8bl6kz9gMost people had Mavs getting swept by OKC
😅😅😅 oops
Tatum had 30 last night and was the reason we stayed in the game in the first half lmao

Nick takes shots at Tatum for taking shots scores 31 on 26 shots but defends Luka 27 points on 27 shots
Nick is an emotional fanboy masquerading as an analyst. He picks the teams and players he roots for to win and then defends them mercilessly when they lose. Go look at his NFL picks last year - lol

For the series Tatum has 64 shots and 65 points (and for his finals career it's 184 shots and 194 points). Compared to Luka, who Nick says over and over again is not playing great, who has 74 shots to go with 89 points.
@@keysersoze3962 I'm not sure you're making your point. Nick picked the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl each of the last two years. How did that work out?

I mean logic says if your best player gets tossed when games is close and you lose it’s fair to say it’s on them for not being available the last 3.5 mins. If it’s his credit to have them in the game then he takes the credit for the loss.

Nobody gets under Nick’s skin like Wildes. It’s truly an art
He's been mediocre
Unless Tatum scores 40+ on 60% shooting the media says he’s trash and doesn’t show up on big games and jaylen brown is better
Hes been bad relative to what’s expected out of the supposed best player.
He averages almost a triple double and you say he played bad. What kind of standard is that? Also as everyone else stated: He plays amazing defense.
@@kevinc8955Only his shooting. He still has had a good plus minus, rebounding, assists and defensive efficiency. 😂 I mean watching the games will tell you that.
Stop with the injury excuse for Luka. I don’t hear Luka complaining about an injury so stop with the injury card.
His knees are literally bleeding.
It just so happens other team/portfolio assets are noticeably dipping too all at the same time
Boston has a far better, well balanced roster and they play both ends of the court.
Nick said mavs in 5 lol
But Curry didn't have a reputation for berating the referees constantly throughout the game. The Curry incident was an outlier in a relatively quiet career of complaining. Luka goes at the refs on every other play. This is a terrible argument by Nick.
4:15 It is so lovely to have Chris talking about the Luka complaining clip and saying "here it is" and we do not get to see it here on UA-cam.
