Carlito! The production value of your videos just went to the next level! The material, how you presented it was superb, as always...but the video presentation! SUPER Pro Level!!!!
Ah I appreciate that a lot! Been doing some studying of film and really enjoy it. Trying to step up and hopefully reach the 100k subs mark. One of my goals this year or get at least close to it. 🤞
Absolutely! It's the mix on them. They do cut, but I add some 10k on the mix just to get some bite on them, but they are really soft and warm without the 10k frequency addition. Thanks for checking it out! If you can share the video that would be awesome!
John! Bro you're very very welcome! Hope to meet you in person one day! Part 2 will have some mambo and bongo bell patterns. I want students to use this as resource to hopefully guide them in their ensembles and real world situation. Also, huge fan man. Love your playing and books. Really great ideas!
Ah! That's what I'm talking about! We gotta stick together, so hopefully now the drummers won't clash with the bassists! If you can share the video that would be awesome!
Thank you so much for checking it out! If you get a chance, please share the video. It really does help out the channel. Stay tuned for Part 2. Will have some really nice mambo grooves, cowbell variations, songo grooves and some other nice things in there.
Sweet! Hope this helps! Part 2 is going to have some really interesting grooves. Thanks for checking it out and if you can please share the video! Helps the channel a lot!
Hey Juan, whilst playing with a cuban ensemble I always struggled to get the right fills / transition to link the various parts together... Any plans to go though some authentic exemples in the next part?? Awesome video, as usual...
Search around on my channel. There’s a bunch of complex there. Part 2 of this series will get more complex as well. This was just so people understand the claves and how to play grooves for the verses.
I put the wrong image up by accident, too many layers going on while editing and just got mistaken. Same concept though of what I was speaking about in the video. But the image is a rumba clave, but should have been a son clave.
Thank you so much! The hi hats are R&D (research and development) models I asked for from Meinl. They are essentially thinner and lighter versions of the foundry reserve hi hats that Meinl makes but to my specs.
@@felipejotz7054 Thank you. Yeah I really really dig them! I'm going to ask if Meinl will release them. They are really great and record EXTREMELY well!

2:08 is the right text correct? I think it means to say 2:3 Rumba Clave?

Excellent video. What’s the hi hat model please?
Thank you so much! The hi hats are R&D (research and development) models I asked for from Meinl. They are essentially thinner and lighter versions of the foundry reserve hi hats that Meinl makes but to my specs.
