I have in my shop a 2016 Duramax and I am in the middle of replacing a tranny cooler with both lines and I had to remove the whole radiator support plus the fan and shroud assy. I now have a deeper respect for those who work on them all day!! Most of the body repair is bolt on but the mechanical is a little challenging due to the routing of the hoses and wires. I took pictures to try from getting lost.
Thank you for another fine diesel lesson. I've actually done glow plugs on a few of these, but due to being green around the gills in the diesel department, didn't know to check the module. I appreciate the heads up brotha! 👍👍
I believe it should be a requirement for all automotive engineers to actually have to replace every component in a completed vehicle. Maybe some politicians as well.
Ever seen a full set of a/c delco glow plugs bad? Messed with me bad but every single glow plug I just put on infinite resistance! Bran new a/c delco glow plugs guess now I’ll have to ohm test every one before they go in and never assume the new ones are good……..
I did see one time where a tech replaced all the glow plugs and they failed immediately, there are 2 different glow plugs. If you put the wrong ones in they burn out right away. Check that. Thanks for watching
Nice video Bro! I have a 2015 LML throwing P0381 glow plug heater circuit problem. If I replace the module, does it have to be reprogrammed to the ECU? If so, am I cursed to go to the dealer? Can I do it with a diagnostic tool
Unfortunately it does requires programming. The injector flow rates have to be programed into it. You can probably find a diesel shop that can do it. Thank you for watching.

You need to update this video and illustrate the pin you want to test is the wire you unplug from the module and not test from the module itself.
