That was crazy - incredible. I've watched literally hundreds of UA-cam Bass Fishing videos, and you're absolutely right, I haven't seen anything even remotely similar to this. Exceptionally well done guys.
I was literally thinking the same thing. You can see the wonderment on thier faces. 😂😂😂 But I also noticed most will stay there wanting thier shot at that little buzzy thing next. 🎣
It would be great to see a underwater video of fish reactions to such things as a trolling motor overhead being turned on and off, loud talking in the boat, a fisherman's or boat shadow cast over them, sonar sounds. It would be difficult but fascinating to see how they would react to those everyday fishing noises. Thanks for the great videos and keep up the good work.
TheOky777 they make a device that I’ve seen on bass boats that is a little speaker that goes on the end of your trolling motor and it plays water noises to coat over those you mentioned. Not sure if it works , but rich fishermen love to increase there odds
I've lined my canoe with carpet to aid in stealthy approach as well as cut the motor and slowly glide into my spot especially when night fishing never done a test but I believe it works rather than the alternative which can spook the big ones.
Iv'e seen it a lot on clear water lakes where smallies will follow under the shadow of the boat. I've been able to catch a handfull just dropping the bait off the back of the boat when they are doing that
Im surprised by how the other fish react when one gets hooked. I always assumed that it spooks them, but to me it looks like it doesn't even phase them.
Seriously cool footage. Thank you. Couple observations: It's amazing how aggressive the bass are, often attacking the bait from behind and below. Second, the speed in which they inhale the bait and close their mouths is impressive. And last, I noticed that often the surrounding fish don't seem to share their distress when a hook-up occurs. Lots to digest here.
Deserves another comment - if they had UA-cam fishing channel video awards, this would win something. Worth a rewatch, seeing the action underwater and the way bass react.. especially to the pauses definitely helps understanding what is going on in the water
That really was amazing footage! at 1:35 I can see one bass coming from the side decided he didnt want it maybe because he saw the hooks? then the other guy coming from below grabbed it could be because of the angle he didnt see anything wrong with it...although the second he bit down on it and realized it wasnt food he took a dump, haha...You really do learn so much from these underwater videos on how these fish act, thanks for taking the time to film and post them
I guess we will never know right, your guess is as good as anyone elses what we do know for sure is as you mentioned every fish is an individual and you can learn from common actions but there will always be an exception to the rule...lol if you had 1000 people walk past a hole maybe 999 would step over it but we all know that one person who would fall in...maybe fish are the same way we dont care about the 1 that falls in we want to know how to get the rest to do what we want...
Yup, I've SEEN fish just come up to a lure and nip only the hooks. I've also seen it in videos others have made. Maybe they think the hooks are a leach and want to eat the leach/hook.
As a new angler, videos like this are priceless to me. I’ve learned so much from watching your videos. Literally seeing a difference each time I go out and try out what I’ve seen on your channel. Thanks for all of that, and for the amazing underwater content!
Perhaps the greatest video on UA-cam right now, nothing beats seeing a bass underwater, but having a fish eat a TOPWATER form that underwater Clearwater perspective is mind blowing, one heck of a video guys!
I love how this shows a lot of the hits came during the lure pause phase. I tend to crank and jerk my lures too frequently instead of allowing for frequent pauses.
Simply remarkable! I think a lot of saltwater fishing ignores how important triggering effects are...guys will catch the feeding stripers/flounder/etc, but strike out when they're not on the feed bag. Looking forward to the rest of your footage, amazing content that anyone fishing for anything with a lure can appreciate!
I find that the time of day can be critical. Around sunrise, about 30 mins before & after. And maybe 45 mins before sunset & 15 mins after. I stick to the shoreline & the structure around it. Topwater poppers are Awesome! Oh, & if a lake isn't producing bites, find another one! Now go catch some bass buddy!!😁
My dad got the window perfectly one summer about 15 years ago camping and we were catching one every or every other cast. We literally got bored and switched to trout fishing for a while. I think we counted about 40 in the boat (C&R). I have NEVER been able to hit that window since 😥 It keeps the dream alive
I've already watched this video three times and this won't be the last time. Truly some incredible footage. You can learn a lot just by studying how bass interact with lures. Looking forward to the next video!
Gotta play devil's advocate here...I have tried to thumbs up vids from my phone before and thanks to touch screens have accidently hit thumbs down. May be the case for some of them lol!?
Thank you guys. This was amazing. I am italian, I live and fish in Italy and have learnt so much from your videos lately. You have hands down changed my vision of bass fishing!
This is incredible. Ever since BASS Live started I always thought the next step is to take it underwater and this is even better than what I could've imagined. This is definitely going to change the way people go about shooting fishing videos
Mannnn. That was the BEST fishing video ever. Matt and Tim I appreciate you guys and your channel. Thank you for your patience and teaching us all how to be better anglers.
Absolutely fantastic video! So interesting to see how the fish react to these baits and you are right, this is nothing like anyone else has posted! Thanks for your videos!
This video is insane gives you a new perspective on their behavior as well. You always hear how the react to top water but never really get to see it as well as it is here. Thanks for that and good stuff guys!
This is by far some of the best under water footage I've seen. The top water footage is incredible just like shark week. Amazing how quickly they can cover distance to get to a lure.
OMG. You guys have raised your subscriber's fishing IQ waaaaaaaaaaaaaay up each time you post new one, especially the underwater footages like this one! Bravo guys. This one is incredible. Thanks a million. I'll be watching it multiple timessssss.
Tim, Matt, Great footage I love y'all content, thanks for taking us up and personal with the predators, I've learned so much from watching and reading your content, greatly appreciated.
It's crazy to see how violently they hit the "rattle" lures, vs just engulfing the quiet ones. Proof that you have to on point with certain lures. Absolutely the best fishing footage I've ever seen. Seems like I've said that about several of your videos before. Lol
There are many fishing channels on UA-cam but they are mainly for entertainment. If you want to be continually educated on fishing this is an awesome channel! This underwater footage unlocks a piece of a puzzle to make us all better fisherman. Thank you!
You guys rock! This footage and many others you guys shot have fundamentally changed my view of bass' behavior. Appreciate everything you did! Keep it coming! Big thank you!
You can't tell me there aren't some fish who are looking at those lures and saying "no way". Some of them swim right up to it, look at it, and swim away.
Your BEST footage yet! I must say that, in general, your videos are too long and quite often, boring, but every now and then you post a gem like this. THANK YOU. I've always wanted to see a video like this. Thanks again.
Thanks for watching Joshua! We're all about the teaching with those long videos, not going for the entertainment at all. But we try to mix in this stuff too for everyone's enjoyment :-)
Thanks again for probably one of my top 3 favorite Bass fishing videos! I liked the Ross England Drop Shot Video too. I had never used a drop shot rig; Then, I used Ross as a guide on Clear Lake and caught 15 of my 20 fish on the drop shot rig! I was ON pitching dock pilings with the drop shot, like every cast for a good while. I now use the drop shot rig successfully at very clear Southern Californian Reservoirs. Ross also introduced me to the Whopper Plopper - on which I caught a 6 pounder this season. Wish I could share the photo. Point being: teaching, and seeing bass behavior helps one become a much better angler. Thanks once more for the video!
What incredible footage! never seen anything like this with the top waters and how that noise is transferring in the water. You can really learn so much by just watching this. Keep it coming guys i really cant wait
You guys have nailed it! More footage like this should, and probably will, have a huge affect on the fishing industry. You can't learn more, from anything about fishing, than this kind of video. It's cool to think about the affect this could have on angling.
I seldom comment, but this was so good, I had to say something. This is THE MOST EDUCATIONAL VIDEO I have ever seen. It will change how I fish for bass, no question. I only wish I had seen it years ago.
Topwater is my absolute favorite type of fishing.. a video like this right here will give others confidence to use these baits! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Do more like this it is worth it for the viewers :P Cheers guys!
I have shared this vid with several friends and I can't stop watching how these bass just destroy the baits you're using! Awesome work and thanks for all your time and effort in showing people what you use and how you rig these baits, along with how you present them to the fish. I've been fishing for years but went strictly for trout, so I'm fairly new to bass fishing. I have learned so much from your channel. This information is priceless! Thank you and keep up the great work.
Insane insane insane I didn't have time to watch this in school so glad I finally got to take a look. My eyes have been blessed with bass fishing at its finest. You guys are the absolute best in the UA-cam game
That was insane there is nothing else out there like this video besides your other videos and you guys have taken underwater videos to a whole new level. Great video
Excellent video, it is easy to see how the fish analyzes the bait from casting to attack, sometimes needs more speed and sometimes needs more touches on the line and slowing down. Congratulations
Tim and Matt: Thanks for posting this. Just so much great footage and so much to be learned. I am going to show this to my 12 yr old son who is just starting to really get in to fishing and is struggling with patience and how to work each bait to get more strikes. Just awsome stuff. Thanks for all of your videos and your commitment to teaching and making us better.
Outstanding video guys! Not only entertaining, but educational! I will be watching this vid again and again to try to learn as much as I can about LMB behaviors. Thanks Matt and Tim, keep up the great work!
TacticalBassin hey man thank you both Matt and Tim. love the channel and content. I'm over in Florida but hoping in the beginning of next year or spring to book a guide trip with Matt and catch some of those huge Cali bass
This video just popped up today on my home list. The most interesting thing to me is the animal behavior aspect. When a 🐠 is hooked, it has little or no negative affect on the others nearby. That was cool to observe.
I can only imagine what a PITA that would have been to come up with that footage! But totally appreciated! You guys do so much for us bassers..awesome and keep up the good work!
This is the most incredible live bass video I have ever seen. The insights and knowledge gained from this live footage and from the testing that TacticalBassin has done is invaluable. I'm learning a lot from you guys and getting more bigger fish in the boat because of it. Great video and keep up the great work!
I think I have watched every underwater bass fishing video out there and none of them compare to this. Awesome damn job. Great learning opportunity too.
Best underwater footage of feeding bass I’ve ever seen, I’ve learned so much from watching these videos thank you for all of your hard work and helpful information on all of your videos great job!
Hands down most educational channel for young bass fishermen! This video is sick from the way the bass react on the baits alone! Keep it up guys love it!👊💥
Great video guys!! keep em coming ! One thing made obvious is just how noisy rattles are underwater , as Matt has said before i think sometimes they hit a rattle lure just to shut that thing up. Well done !
What a different world from that perspective. Thanks so much for all of the hard work. It really helps with understanding how bass react to baits/movement.
That was crazy - incredible. I've watched literally hundreds of UA-cam Bass Fishing videos, and you're absolutely right, I haven't seen anything even remotely similar to this. Exceptionally well done guys.
Thank you so much Tom!!
Absolutely insane footage... I cannot belive the amount of fish in this lake...
Yeah, thanks dudes! I want to dig my gear out of my locker, even more...
Brent Schmidt why did you even put it in a locker to begin with! Fish on bub!
Well, my ride is temporarily broke down, and my tackle is at the club where I fish. So, depression has set in...
Fishing probably looks so weird to the other fish bc it just looks like their friend is gettin his ass whooped by like a 2 inch minnow or a worm
I was literally thinking the same thing. You can see the wonderment on thier faces. 😂😂😂
But I also noticed most will stay there wanting thier shot at that little buzzy thing next. 🎣
IceArro LMAO!!!
Lol
“Damn Fred, you gonna let that little crawfish whoop on you like that???”

According to my Dad as a small child any noise that comes from my mouth or any sound of fun in general will spook a bass at least 27 miles away 😂
@@dustinlines2181haha😂😂
Best video I've ever seen underwater. We need underwater plastics. And crankbaits and chatterbait.
Im surprised by how the other fish react when one gets hooked. I always assumed that it spooks them, but to me it looks like it doesn't even phase them.
Isn't that incredible? They don't seem to care, if anything its makes them irritable and possibly easier to trigger.
A few seem to poop, uncontrollable, after getting hooked...lol
"well..there goes rick" "told him"
Bearded Bassin ther kinda interested by what's going on
Fish: "Wow that is one strong meal! I'm sure glad I didn't eat it! I'll get the next one."
I think its great that bass pro shops let you guys film this in their aquarium!
just kidding guys, awesome vid!
This man funny as hell 😂😂 they do a great job for sure. Really helps you envision the process when it's happening in person
Seriously cool footage. Thank you. Couple observations: It's amazing how aggressive the bass are, often attacking the bait from behind and below. All awesome take-aways. There is a ton of information in there
They're pretty lathargic...until they want something.
Because They're not distressed research has proven they don't have many nerve endings in their mouth and it doesn't hurt them when hooked.
Ive watched this 4 times and im learning so much on how each fish reacted, truly amazing you can capture this with a camera!
So dope....as usual
Thanks Bud!
Was up lojo

Glad to see you learning from these guys
Yeah buddy! Isn't it incredible? The stop each other, they trigger each other, they fight over baits, who knew???
I learned more from the last 20 videos they posted about bass fishing than I learned the last 20 talking to other fisherman...no joke..

They're probably PETA supporters who dislike fishing period.
I was about to say the same thing, how could anyone dislike this video...
Because, haters going to hate, hate, hate.. 😂
Absolutely incredible! You hit the nail on the head when you said "never seen before"! Fantastic job guys!
So badass!!! Who would give this a thumbs down? Probably a non bass angler lol... Great job guys!!
PETA for sure, i read an article by them about fishing and they aren't the smartest bunch

LOL Thanks man!

They can't be salty! I thought this was freshwater!
I just got skunked at my local lake

Exactly :-) Attention to detail always pays off! Wasn't that bite amazing?
The most badass underwater footage of bass ever! No joke that is insane guys
Wow, awesome video! Must be a private pond or something with the huge gills and how aggressive those bass are.
CZYK Republic it may be seasonal too. My understanding is in the fall bass get highly competitive as they try to fatten up
Wishful thinking! lol
The video at 5:09 is SO satisfying. You can even hear the line being pulled after the bite.
i love the reactive wide open mouth after it sets and the fish is like AHHHH WHY WHAT THE HELL LEAVE MY FACE

Unreal. You guys knocked it out of the park. Thanks for putting this together.
Best underwater bass fishing video hands down. Great job to you both. Can't wait to see more. I can't stop watching it
Excellent video, it is easy to see how the fish analyzes the bait from casting to attack, sometimes needs more speed and sometimes needs more touches on the line and slowing down. Congratulations
These clips are absolutely amazing! I love studying how bass react to our baits, especially topwater! I'd love to see one with Smallmouth.
Thanks Bud! We've got a little smallie content, working on more.
TacticalBassin awesome to hear! Keep up the great work guys! I enjoy learning from you both every single day.

I could watch this stuff for hours. Great footage...and great channel for anyone looking to become a better angler. Thanks!
Great footage guys. Very cool to see. You've got some great water clarity there. Nice when you can get a wide and distant view of incoming fish.

Awesome photography. It's a total education in itself. I had forwarded this out to all my fishing buddies. Thanks
Outstanding video guys! Not only entertaining, but educational! I will be watching this vid again and again to try to learn as much as I can about LMB behaviors. Thanks Matt and Tim, keep up the great work!
