This summer, 10th of July and around, those lakes were well warm, I think ~23C -ish. But they can cool down in few hours if the wind brings the cold waters from the bottom. Lakes (boating), beaches, and some of the highest hills (fjells) are about only outdoor places you can escape mosqitoes. Thats why reindeers populate them often as well.
It was a shock how warm it was when I arrived to Northern Finland. I took a few baths in the lakes and it was soo warm. I can imagine, the stream was really fast and it wasn’t that deep either. Ohh I never knew, they are smart! when you mention it I can’t say I remember any mosquitos at the beach.
@@NorwegianRoamer That beach is very unique (Livo) - double beach isthmus: I havent seen such in that scale anywhere (fresh water), and Im quite a google maps /maps freak as well. Can you imagine the roadside there can have up to 4 meters of snow thickness in late march, and many of the little trees there will b completely covered by it. Snow piles r caused by the constant SW winds and the road cleaner truck.
Yes it was extremely many, I’ve never expected them being this aggressive. I used two different types of mosquito repellent, but it didn’t really help that much :(( I guess using a net over your whole body would be the next best!
@@abdulmaboodshah5963 I know, I don't like mosquitos. There might be better repellents in other countries. I bought mine in Norway, and we have strict laws of which chemicals they are allowed to use, so they might be milder. I am actually back in Norway :))
@@NorwegianRoamer I hope you will keep contact, moreover when you are free make videos of your home country and specially village life and farmers life.
First few minutes listening to a woman who complains about how tired she is and how many mosquito bites she has is Boring! Self indulgent. Did not even watch the rest. Lots of other videos about Finland.
No worries, I’m new in the video and content game and are trying to have fun and learning by trying. Finland is a really great country, and there are many great advice and inspirational videos on UA-cam.
Informative.
Thank you!
A very beautiful video thank you very much, if possible please show how you prepare your three time food?
Thank you so much 😃 Yes, I can consider making a video showing typical Norwegian meals throughout the day 😊
Fantastic footage from a gorgeous landscape! :)
Tusen takk :))

I am sold! Next summer for sure :)
It’s definitely worth a trip, and if you go to Lapland a little earlier than what I did you can experience the midnight sun as well!
@@NorwegianRoamer Doesn’t Norway have a part of so-called Lapland? 🤔 what’s different about those areas in each country? 🤓
I am really very surprised to know that mosquitoes have bitten you. How you are there without prevention manners? .
